While simple, certainly not shallow. It does turn into attrition by the end, but man I love just dumping a whole army on my opponent! *I also just adore the character design.* Felt a bit lonely without sound, but hey you got the important gameplay and visual bits down.
Congratulations! You've got a solid first go for game jams!
Nice work on this game!

Congratz on your first game jam. <3 Its like the gym but for game developers!
Congrats on your first game jam! Fun little game, definitely challenging

For your first ever game jam, this was awesome! It was really satisfying to spawn a bunch of fighters and watch them take down the enemy. I think the base is really solid, and adding more spawnable types, sound effects, and music can quickly take things up a notch. Nice work!

It is tough at first! Won as both sides. I love the simplicity, you can just jump right in and understand what to do.

Very impressive as it is your first jam game!
I really like the asymmetry between two sides. I thought Hell ranged units were really underpowered but then I found out they need to be tactically played with the melee units in order of them to work. So there is some cool depth in there.
Good work! Looking forward to seeing you in future jams!
wowowowow. what a solid first entry. i had so much fun playing!
Awesome first entry and congrats again on completing your first game jam! An awesome auto-battler we had a ton of fun trying different strategies with the limited mechanics. Good luck!
Love it

Very cool, would love if you could right click/left click to summon each type so you weren't clicking the bottom as often.
@mollusk thanks for the suggestion. I'll keep that in mind for the future!
Fun game! I liked the style

For a first, that's impressive ! Congrats ! It was fun
Cool game! I had just managed to reach the enemy leader before a giant wave spawned and sweeped me, don't know if that's intentional but if it is you might want to play around balancing it. Either way, great work and congrats on making your first jam game!
Nice simple game, congrats on your first ever jam entry! I picked the heaven side, but it ended up just being a bit too easy with the hell enemies barely reaching my side. I think with a couple extra unit types to add more depth, it could be even better!

Congrats on your first jam entry! You did very well!
It's a nice fun game. Unleashing a big army on the adversary is very fun!
Good work! Wish there was a bit more variation but thats the thing with game jam games :)

Nice game! I lost the first game but won the next one.

I played the web version and there was no sound, maybe with sounds it could be easier to know when mana is full.
the graphics are super cool. And I like commanding armies of men for a just and sincere cause.
@anthonny thanks for the feedback! I agree that sounds would improve the experience. I hadn't considered using sounds to signal mana regen, that's a good idea. Unfortunately I ran out of time during this Jam to implement any sounds at all 😅 That's going to be a goal of mine for next time 100%
Congrats on a nice strategy game! Nice touch that the two opponents are different. I found hell to be harder than heaven. About sound, I usually make sure I have at least a couple of basic sounds in my game to make it feel more complete. Just use jsfxr or some other sfx generator to create them.
