A bit confused at first but I got the hang of it! Super cool mechanic, I'd love to see this developed further

I really enjoyed seeing the messy bridges I'd built to deal with the tower layout. Sometimes it got a little janky and I got stuck when I accidentally summoned a bridge underneath myself.

This is a wild idea and great execution considering the time constraint. Great work

ben-albert 2024-04-15 14:54

Really neat mechanic! There were alot of moments I would have to build and then look backwards to see if it was in the right direction

m0zrat 2024-04-15 19:17

Seems like a really cool idea! Had trouble getting a bridge to appear, and I couldn't walk up the first bridge, so didn't really get into it

mertol 2024-04-15 21:45

@m0zrat You need to build longer bridges to get into it, the angle gets more horizontal. Thanks for your feedback.

It took me a bit to understand the mechanics of how building the platforms worked, but it was fun once I understood it. I think the player character was also a bit too slippery at times, but overall I found this to be an interesting take on the theme and fun game. Good work!

Nice concept, a bit tedious to control but overall liked the idea of spawning your own path. Good job!

dmitry-mozgin 2024-04-15 23:56

I think it is very innovative gameplay. At first, I didn't figure out properly what to do, but after some tweaking I managed to climb up to 4 tower. The key is to use right mouse click. It was great experience. I also imagine how it was fun to develop such system as a compo entry. (I wish I had such ideas.)

This is super clever! Really fun little prototype, had a lot of fun!

I finished a 10 tower level. Super awesome mechanic, so unique and really fun and satisfying. What a crazy idea to put together for a jam game! Great unique use of the theme as well.

This was a neat mechanic. I liked how I needed to use spatial intuition to figure out where to send the bridge, and how it always ended up a bit twisty. I also liked how it zoomed out at the end to show you the whole course.

My only criticism is that the camera movement speed was low, which made it a bit hard to control with a trackpad.

My 10 tower course:

I don't think I'm ready to start level 100:

Great! only complaint was the camera speed

xanagear 2024-04-16 02:06

Felt very freeform, was able to finish very quickly and it was immediately intuitive to use the mechanic. Very impressive work and I'd love to see this expanded upon.

Great entry with a unique mechanic. Would be cool to see how far it could go!

xuanqiuyun 2024-04-16 08:07

Interesting mechanism that is rarely seen

I'm sure to be a great noodle artist.

I really like the concept ! I think it could be useful if the circles were transparent because you lose some of you field of view when they're in the path of where you're going :)

jver422 2024-04-16 19:59

very cool concept, a good challenge. would stand to be supported by some mellow puzzle music.

kirass 2024-04-16 23:03

I really liked this game! You guys are great!

lazzor 2024-04-17 15:49

This is fantastic! Such a simple concept but it works really well. I especially like the translation from drawing on a 2d surface to summoning the bridges in 3d. Also, the clean and minimalistic interface just fits perfectly. Great job!

denvil 2024-04-17 18:46

Nice idea. It would have helped if drawing circles were minimap showing where the towers were. Also movement felt slow with jumping speed. It felt like jumping in jelly.

xhadie 2024-04-18 17:26

This is a really unique and interesting concept! I don't think I know of a game that resembles it! Definetely worth expanding into a proper game with proper art and story.

Maybe you could spin a universe and purpose around it? Some kind of world building or space exploration! Many options there! In my opinion, go for it, you have something cool at hand, which is one of the best outcomes of a game jam!

aaron-hart 2024-04-18 17:32

This is definitely a cool concept. I agree that you could be onto something with it. However I do feel like the drawing mechanic may need to be improved in some way, because unless I missed something, it kind of feels like guess work because my back was to the bridge/pillars. I actually thought the line was automatically drawing into position at first because my first bridge lined up pretty well. But the second one was just way off. Maybe it just needs more practice on my behalf! :) Edit: just wanted to add that it did feel really cool walking along the winding path that i had drawn!

momo-hunter 2024-04-18 18:40

Very nice concept would love for it to have some background music as well, something chill, but overall very solid entry

pandalk 2024-04-18 19:40

I really love the concept, very well executed main mechanic.

the jump height is the only thing that I disliked in the game I think, I would either go with higher, or no jump at all.

bonus point for the unzoom when you finish a level, seeing what you have built, it's really cool

mongoose-59 2024-04-18 20:03

it was very fun and relaxing, i enjoyed it a lot

i like how the tension rises naturaly as the higher you are, the more you have to walk back if you fall

whiteseason 2024-04-18 23:02

Really liked the mechanic! A bit confusing at first, but very interesting to play around. Some chill music would definetely help

orbitaldot 2024-04-19 08:19

Really cool! I like the fact that you can choose how many towers there are, acts as a neat difficulty setting. It was a bit difficult to gauge at first in which direction I should draw my bridges, but eventually I got the hang of it. Solid little entry, hope to see it expanded on after the jam :)

ruslana 2024-04-19 18:44

It's an interesting mechanic
