I really like the gameplay loop!
Loved the sounds and the minimap was great! Very well executed, great job!
Great job having a finished game at the end of the jam! I was so close to beating it. That final delivery was just not meant to happen this time.
Nice consistent style! Sometimes the enemies are grouping together so it becomes harder to evade, and the enemy hitboxes could be a bit smaller. On the other hand, thats probably on me since I only wanted to deliver as fast as possible and accelerated almost the whole time (at least I got the job). I'm not sure if it is intended to drive over the islands, but it was really fun. Great entry, and now I'm in the mood for a vacation! :)
@benjamin-gearig It's a pity that you wasn't able to finish your game. But do not give up. Next LD is only a few months away :)
@codeforjoycaro By "beating" I meant I was so close to winning in *your* game. Sorry if it appeared I was bringing the pity party to your comments. But thank you for the positivity as I do hope to do better next time.
Cool little experience! The gameplay was a little repetitive and I did get bored pretty quick. But it was still a cool little game!
Honestly I love the controls it was soooo smooth it was nice!! And I really like the graphics too theyre so like simple but very nice!!
Really chill. Feels already like holidays. I like that there is stuff to avoid but that's not too difficult to avoid them. That keeps the game really smooth. I think the water effect is really really good. The animation and the flickering light really sells the effect.
The map is big which is nice to navigate and plan but when I had to go the the sought east I had less visibility.
@nicmagnier Thanks Nic, for appreciating the vibe of our game and thanks to @edenic666 for appreciating the controls. Those were actually the things I focused on most :)
Also thanks to @equalenergy and @niclee for their kind praise.
@quinnster Thanks for your honest feedback. It is supposed to be a relaxing experience.
relaxation and enjoyment
Short and sweet! It was cute seeing what different people wanted to get delivered. Lovely looking water too.
I really like this. It's simple and relaxing - you achieved exactly what you wanted with this game. It's not trying to be anything crazy, and I respect that.
If I had one critique, I don't think it even needs the health and hazards. Just let the other ships wander to add life to the ocean.
Nice game, very relaxing. Maybe adding a time or fuel limit on the boost, if you want to add some difficulty. Well done!
Cute game. I love the style with the simple colors, and unoffensive font. Makes it just a nice little experience.
I still really appreciated the speedboost button to quickly go past the empty spaces, but it would have been great if the turning speed also increased with the forward/backward speed.
Cool game! Though the ship is a little hard to control for me.
Something about the font choice here is very inviting to me! I love the ambient sounds, they add a lot. I also really appreciate that we can sprint with shift, thanks for putting that in there. My one wish would be to wrap around the map, but I suppose that would make it too easy to avoid the dangers sometimes ;)
Nice little game! Agree with the others, the controls felt smooth. Loved the red boats chilling around, they were not too sggressive or annoying but still there! The collision boxes for both quest objects and red boats are pretty large. It's not a big deal tbh, but for example I lost one life although visually I did not really touch the enemy boat :)
It was in fact relaxing. I was more focused on the 'mini-map' that the world to avoid collision. The gameplay is not enough to keep up interested, but if you remove the map and add some short story each time we pick up/deliver something, it can keep the attention until the end. So that a good start. Well done.
Nice water effect! I think the boat could feel more like a boat though. Was I meant to be able to cruise through the land as well? The overall vibe was very relaxing, the audio fit you theme well, and it was very relaxing.
@substain @reef @aile Thanks for the feedback. Eventually I have improved the colliders, and you should not be able to cruise over land anymore.
The gameplay got repetitive pretty quickly, but I like that there's a clear goal set for me. Some feedback I have is that maybe the minimap is not necessary? Perhaps just an arrow pointing to where you need to go next would leave more room for exploration. I found myself just staring at the minimap instead of the game world. Also the white glow on the map wasn't clear to me in the beginning that I needed to go there. I ran into the other ships because they were glowing, and I thought the sound from running into them was a positive sound, not a crashing sound :p I also wonder what it would be like if the camera rotated with the ship.
Really liked the little waving animations on the people you had to deliver to. There was a good amount of challenge in the game but it also still felt relaxing. Nice work.
