Didn't even manage to deliver the package, sorry owl. Spent too much time letting the cat chase the red dot and got all caught up in that instead!
Cats are great!

Cats are great!
Fun sounds, fun gameplay, fun visuals. It's a bit difficult though. I like it!
The gameplay is cute, and the movement system is really unique and fun to play. The sound effects are also really funny!
@riza-bunansa Yeah! Red dot! but the owl was wai... Red dot! yeah, but the owl... Red dot!
...
Well, I'm pretty sure the owl is not in a hurry.
@adan1032 I'm glad to hear that, thanks!
@kent-lizardo Haha, I made sound effects my self, that was the most fun part in game developing
The sound effects make the game even more funny, especially when you spam the jump. However, they are not very fitting for a cat. Still game is very fun to play.
I noticed that you can glitch the screen where it constantly stays red. Not a big issue but just wanted to let you know.
@sky909 About the jump...index.jpeg
Emmmmmm...Tell me in detail how you operated. Are you saying that the character constantly hitting the wall will cause the screen glitch?
Anyway, Thank you for the issue report, hope you enjoy the game
Really great and funny sound effects, combined with a challenging yet not overly difficult gameplay and one interesting movement system, I really enjoyed this game.
I did feel it was a bit weird for the laser to always be coming from the bottom right corner of the screen, when the movement was still relative to the cat, but I understand the reasoning behind it.
Omg, that's sounds are so gooood, its hard to calculate jumps, it did gameplay more hardcore, but i like it))) And here is a nice cat!
@calcopod Thank you for the playing,I'm glad you enjoy the game.
About the laser, I want player feel like stand out of screen and use laser to guide the cat, It's more like a FPS game.
At the first version, there just a mouse cursor, cat's arm aim to zhe cursor to show the jump angle, because the arm is too small, and a cat chase a cursor is weird, I change the cursor into laser.
Thanks again, I'll keep working on this game.
@kykypy3o8 Yes, in the early version, I've add a curve to guide jump, but it become a boring game, people just aim and jump to rech the goal.
But now, aim, charge, jump, and leave it to fate. The challenges have become more numerous.
And there was a little trick, you can jump again in the air, cat can jump anytime, there are no limit
Thank you for playing, hope you enjoy it.
Fun little game, it's difficult but I think that's a good thing. Cool idea for movement, great sound. Had fun!
@fnelix Thanks for playing! I'm glad you are enjoy it!
good game I loved getting over it but this is even cooler when I get to fall as a cat that sound that good. cool Idea I've loved hating this game.
Love the sounds and the laser pointer! Good job, got a little bit addicted :D
The sounds caught me off guard at first, but they added some fun character to the game. I'm not the best at these kinds of games, but I did have fun.
I love any game with a cat in it, so you've already got my vote there! The sounds were so funny and unexpected! Really fun little mechanic with the laser pointer.
@adamlenglen Hahaha, it's actually a complicated feeling, I'm glad you like it.
@kuggenhoffen Thanks for playing! hahaha, I make the sounds myself!
@cody-holt Thank you for playing, your game was good too, you are doing good!
@tofucat I see there was a cat in your name! you realy like cats! hope you have fun during the jam!
The game and gameplay are very innovative, but the controls are somewhat difficult, and it's hard to avoid falling off from the top. However, it's still a good game. I really like the sound effects the author created himself; they are very brainwashing, lol.
Hard to play
@zeit I'm glad you like this game. Sometimes, as a game developer, we play our own game for a long time, which might make the game difficult. I am exploring different ways to improve the gaming experience. Thank you for your feedback.
@jithu That's true
@terry-crow Hope you guys have a great development in the next version, but it's still a great game, it's surprised that you did this in the 72 hours! And if you are interested, feel free to play and rate my game, I will appreciate!
@zeit Of course, I will. I am currently at work in my time zone, but I will play your game once I finish work. I am really looking forward to it!
Cool game! I am a sucker for cats. I actually had a similar idea (aiming a cat with a laser pointer) for the most recent Wowie Jam, but I sadly wasn't able to finish it in time. I'm glad you were :D
Super cute game, and the sounds are amazing! I couldn't stop giggling! The input system was fun and interesting, but I felt the game was a bit punishing. Perhaps you could have made the platforming a bit easier, I was pretty bad at making the cat land where I wanted. Overall a very cute and funny game though. :smile_cat:
@flashviper Your game is also very fun, although it's not your previous idea, you still did a great job!
@vidarn I'm going to change the input function, add some auxiliary lines and adjust the level structure.
At just under an hour of gameplay, I'm afraid I'll have to put my laser pen down or else I'll go crazy . . . this screenshot was taken right before I fell to near-bottom.

I thought the sound effects were hilarious the first 20 minutes and gave me a good chuckle! After repeated falling and missed jumps, I needed to mute to focus. So funny though - really good effort. It's a seemingly simple game, but plenty entertaining.
I think it's good to have a challenge for the player, but I do wish the jumps were more forgiving sometimes. For some strategy, I found that you can try to control your falls and do a quick bounce off the walls to land back on the middle platforms. In a panic after falling a great height, I think I pulled off a mid-air jump to change direction, but I'm not sure if I imagined that. Nice entry!
@fuzzybut Wow, you are doing good! currently, it seems that the game is too difficult. Since I have been testing it, I am not sure if the difficulty is appropriate. I am truly sorry about this.
I just adjusted some mechanisms this afternoon, but for the sake of fairness, I did not publicly release this version. After the evaluation period, I will continue to update it.
In the future, it will have two modes - one is the current mode (although difficult, I really like it because it is challenging and I will keep it);
the other mode will not be so difficult and will have some auxiliary UI tips and a few tricks like holding down and then releasing the left mouse button to adjust direction while the cat is in the air, and a double jump immediately after jumping to jump higher. This will result in more route choices. Additionally, different materials will have different physical effects. Currently, there are only three terrains, but the previous version had an icy terrain which was too difficult, so I made an emergency adjustment.
I hope my words did not give you a headache, hahaha.
Super hard but really fun! I actually think the difficulty is perfect, it reminds me of Getting Over It with the single vertical level you can fall down. I almost made it to the top of the purple section before bouncing all the way back to the green
I think an easy way to make the game easier if you want to would be to add some kind of checkpoints, but then again it's fun having the threat of falling all the way back down looming over you.
This is the game I've had the most fun with this jam so far, really great work!
Everything in this game are awesome! You are genius! Funny and addictive game
it's a bit difficult, but surely interesting and even addictive!
the sounds caught me off guard :smile_cat: i wish they'd change here and there, they are cure, but get annoying after a while
also, at first i didn't realize that the green in the middle was a part of background, maybe i'd dull or darken the colour a bit
So sweet, easy, the voice makes it even better I love it. Yet so simple, but so hard too haha. Moew... moew... My cat is jealous now GG
@benskca Thank you, I will keep developing it. I have thought carefully about the checkpoint issue. I want to create a feeling of walking on thin ice as you climb higher and higher. Only by passing the double test of courage and skill can you succeed, so I didn’t set any checkpoints.
@smdaniels Thank you for the playing!!! I'm glad you like it!
@evilgeniusdance Sorry about the background, I'll make it become more background.
@routard Hahaha, Moeeeeeeeew... moeeeeeeeew... I spent a long time dubbing, and now it looks good. Next time I will add a mute option.
Wow, this is very difficult. I did not Get Over It, and I could not deliver a package to an owl :( after a half hour I could only manage to get to this ledge: Screenshot_20230506-111747__01__01.jpg ...and then fell to the bottom three times. This game was very funny, and frustrating. The sound effects were silly, but a bit repetitive as I did short hops. I really like the use of a laser pointer to direct the cat.
Reminds me of Jump King. I think the difficulty may be a little tough for a gamejam as most testers won't have more than a few minutes for it could be suitable for players who stick with it and practice. The jumping mechanic actually I think is very interesting.
@hitchh1k3r Wow you are doing great! Yes, it's too difficult. I've already simplified it quite a bit, and I'll update it after the jam is over. Thanks for playing.
@ruruie Thank you for playing! Yes, my inspiration did come from "Jump King". It has a similarly steep learning curve, and I did overlook that for a jam. Sad.
