Nice game,I realy like the way you use the piano element.
I beat all the levels except EX-4, which seemed impossible unless I'm missing something. EX-5 required a Herculean feat of coordination but I somehow made it happen. I really like the simple neon aesthetic
Wow, I found the EX- levels to be really creative. Like @cloistered I think my fav idea was the piano element.
I think the control scheme made things very difficult on any of the levels where you have to immediately stop the ball from entering a failure state.
I like the ideas here, but I think some kind of indication of how each key press in a level will MOVE the labeled object would be nice. Also, the thing in level EX-4 where the colored balls only collide with the same color platforms seemed out-of-nowhere since that wasn't the case in earlier levels... and the pinball level felt more luck-based than anything
That's such a fun innovative take on the theme. I loved the music keyboard level, such a great idea. This is one of my favorite games I have seen so far, even though is simple, is challenging and very fun to play.
Got to the level EX-4 and gave up. I think some way to reverse the movement direction of the keys would be a nice addition, maybe Shift+A etc.. Not being able to go both directions got a bit annoying. Also I think the force that the ball is pushed could use some randomness. The pong level felt really deterministic in the beginning and it grew a bit repetitive to watch the same beginning moves every single time I'd fail :D
Putting critique to the side, I really liked the game idea. The levels were quite well polished and had "clear solutions" to them after a moment of thinking. The sound effects were satisfying and played really nicely with the graphical appearance of the game.
This is the most innovative game i have seen this jam so far!
Interesting puzzle idea with a complex set of controls! Music is great but I wish it would loop (I played very slowly lol). Puzzles are simple but despite that are still challenging which was fun to play with
Wow, I love this. The overall graphical style combined with this music is fantastic. The music is in fact probably some of my favorite music I've ever heard in a Ludum Dare game, it is just such a jam and the rest of the game has perfect aesthetics to fit it.
The combination of action puzzle gameplay with, say, non-action puzzle gameplay here is a fun combination as well. For example, level 3 I am able to mostly just decide when I want the different balls to roll, but then level 4 ups the ante by forcing me to deal with the situation more actively. And a lot of the levels have active components that have to be dealt with even if it's not for the whole level. I think level 4 was my favorite, in any case, as it was just fun to have the difficult directly ramp up from the previous level like that and come up with a strategy to win.
The variety of gameplay in the first 5 levels is great, and the bonus levels are all super fun too, although I admit I find them pretty difficult to actually win. But it is just cool to see these level concepts, like breakout, built all from the same stuff as the first 5 levels.
Overall, this is one of the best games I've seen this jam, I think. Neat gameplay concepts, and the music just sells the game so hard. Great job!
It reminds me an old good arcade video games from 1980s, well done!
What an awesome game! I loved the creative diversity of the levels, always a pleasant surprise ahead! Really cool visuals and audio also. One of the best entries I played so far this LD, great job!
I really enjoyed this game! Surprisingly fun for its simplicity... well done!
I have to admit my brain wasn't handling the multiple controls very well at first, but when you eventually get used to it somewhat this game becomes really fun! I also really love the way you used the piano, I honestly didn't see anything wrong with it at first :) Also one little bug I noticed, the music doesn't seem to loop.
A very cool puzzle! it's a bit complicated in places, but very exciting. I was gone for at least half an hour. Separately, I would like to praise the music, but the track is one and does not repeat itself
Very fun idea! Took me a bit to wrap my head around controlling different elements with different keys at the right times, but it was very rewarding when I did it successfully! Nice job!
Played your game on stream, if you want to watch initial thoughts here's the link: (timestamps in the description to jump to your game!) [youtube link](youtu.be/N5dbipZkGKM)
I love the concept of the game and the color scheme. An idea I have to make the game visially better is to add a motion arrow to tell the players which way the pins will move.
