Nice art :sunglasses:
The game looks great, sounds great, and even plays great. But it took me a while to understand how I was supposed to play the game. Other than that I found no faults, Great Game.
I never thought I'd have so much fun delivering a dead body.
Fun little card game, struggled a bit in the start just figuring out exactly what to do but quickly caught on. Made it to the kings tomb in the end but sadly the tomb itself took me out. The graphics are very nice, and it plays very well overall. Great entry!
I died because i forgot to shovel a bear in time :) I actually liked this a lot! Im not sure, and this could be a me problem, but i found myself having to use both a vertical and horizontal scrollbar in order to properly see the information displayed in the back when hovering over things. Couldnt figure out how to fullscreen it properly.
Very good entry tho. I like myself a good card game :)
Loved the 3d Models, and the card art, very good job!
Loved the combination of mechanics. A little bit confusing how to skip turn if possible or mb I got stuck because of bug.
I loved this game. Calm, strategic, with a really good atmosphere. The art part is very neat, great jam game. Great job !
Was extremely fun and methodical at times trying to plan out my next steps. Couldnt get a W tho cause I sucked haha
Wow, i loved this game! Great job! :)
I really enjoyed playing game, cute graphics gave it a lighthearted feel, while the gameplay mechanic kept me engaged and challenged. It's rare to see a card game in a game jam, so it was a refreshing change of pace from other reviews. Great job and congratulations on your submission!
really cool game mechanics, visals are really cool too, for the ones where the screen is too big (you either have part of the top or bottom cut off) i just zoomed out 90% my tab and i could see all the game, anyway, i really had fun playing!
Great game! Loved the atmosphere. Graphics are cool and writing made me chuckle and feel epic. Mechanics are on point. Had to do the tab zoom out trick though, so I would reduce viewport in itch a little.
I also wish there was an indicator of how many days of travels are left until the tomb of kings. I got there and died sadly. It caught me a bit off-guard that you would need resources there as well and death is unavoidable if you don't have them.
Awesome entry!
Wow what a cool, fresh take on the roguelike deckbuilder! Felt quite innovative and fun to play once I figured out how it all worked. The 3D models and gameplay polish felt great - nice work everyone!
Amazing visuals !
Good job. It wasnt always clear to me why I cant place cards... and I also had the viewport issue. Aside from that a solid game with nice mood ;)
This game is one of my favorites. It was a bit of figuring out at first (also because I didn't look at the guide :grimacing: ), but I found out quickly after a few rounds how it worked. Only the campfire behind a button was a bit of searching. The game also didn't full fit my screen, so I had to play with scrollbars. I loved the deck builder aspect and the planning ahead part. The art, music and overall execution of the game is beautiful. Would have loved cards that had synergy with eachother, but maybe I didn't get to that part yet as I only had 15 minutes to play.
Amazing job on this entry. Loved it!
Awesome game! Challenging, good graphics and atmosphere. Simple but satisfying mechanics. Really great!
Wow, really it's really good ! It's difficult to understand it but really, the art and the gameplay is really great. (Quite difficult peraps.)
Make me think of a mix between For The King, Reigns and Inscryption. Very good game ! Maybe one of my favorite for now !
Really nice game. Well polished. Great graphics and sound. Game was easy to understand. Definitely luck in getting the right hand to keep progressing but so are all other card games out there. Great job I had fun.
Really compelling game! The vibe and mechanics reminded me of Inscryption in a really good way. I couldn't get the game into fullscreen mode on itch.io. Also the window it opens up in on the itch.io page is quite large so that I had to scale down my browser to see more or less the entirety of it's visual content. Question: Does the game have an enging or is it just randomly generating encounters until you die? Really good choice of music. Would be deserving of custom music though in my opinion as every other element is really working great. If you decide to add that at some point feel free to reach out!
I loved the game, how you guys interpreted the theme and turned it into a card game. The atmosphere is also great, I lost track of time playing it. The game also reminded me a bit of Hand of Fate. I just wanted to give a few suggestions. It would be really helpful if we could see which cards we have in our deck when choosing new cards. It would also be useful to see which cards we have already bought and which ones are still in the deck. It would also be nice to be able to release the selected card by right-clicking (if there is a way to do that, I couldn't find it ;-;). Finally, the final destination could be more noticeable or have a sound effect to let us know when it appears. The first time I saw it, it was almost upon me xD (of course, my lack of attention didn't help). Overall, great game :D
@gustavokado @theseal @pampo @beep-boop @mallansandan very good job. interesting card game.
Solid game. Art, music and mood is perfect. I struggled to figure out what to do at first and I also had to zoom out on the itch page to actually see the full game. I would have liked the cards to be a bit higher up so I could see the effects and the board at the same time. Choosing between the boons had me confused because I didn't realise you have to click on the character and not the card.
Feel strong Inscryption vibes from this! Great one!
Probably my favourite entry so far! Definitely one of the most solid entries I've seen.
Love the look and feel, the fact that it's a little board game and has a cool medieval sun-dial thing at the back. The little minis are cute and get the point across perfectly.
+1 for some comments that have already been made: - needs a fullscreen button - was tricky to figure out at first, unfortunate that you need a separate guide page - a clearer indication of how far away the end is. Is the size of the deck on the right supposed to do this? I also wondered if it was infinite at one point.
I would add some standard deckbuilder features: - some tools to keep the deck lean (e.g. drop party members, skip adding a party member) - way to view your deck
Mechanics/balance: - I love the core mechanic. The tradeoff of dealing with immediate threats vs working on the bigger obstacles is interesting. - As is the tradeoff of being efficient with your hours, vs dealing with important enemies and being a bit wastefull.
Some questions/suggestions for balance: - what is the point of the paranoia card, it seems like it only hurts if you play it? - I think the "big" obstacles (mountain, king of wolves) are a bit OP. I quickly figured out that 1 king of wolves is the equivalent of 14 wolves worth of damage, so it's a no-brainer to focus on him first. If he was nerfed a bit, the decision of what to focus on would be more interesting. - But with that said, the balance was still good enough to make this thoroughly enjoyable!
This is a really cool idea, the core mechanic is solid. I think with some polish, balancing, and adding a bit more content, this could easily be steam-worthy. I would buy it!
Bro, the game is very good, its mechanics, graphics, top respect+
Wow! I love this. The overall core gameplay feels good, but it's hard to see the description of what each card does since it's over in the other corner. Fullscreen mode would have been very helpful, but additionally I would make a mouseover tooltip for each icon. Also, once you pick up a card you can't put it down, so I was forced to make bad plays that ended up costing me on a few runs. Great stuff here though!
I love this! My only gripe is that the final challenge feels impossible - there's really not enough time to surmount the Tomb of Kings while also dealing with all the other hazards of the road. Some more polish (I also experienced the issue where sometimes my hand prevented me from reading the cards on the board!) and a more forgiving endgame would make this something worth coming back to!
This is so good! I was a little bit confused on how it worked at first, but I caught on. One thing: I kept on right clicking when I didn't want to play a card, and ended up accidentally playing it instead (my brain is still running with the Slay the Spire train of thought). Maybe you could change that?
Great game! I am sure I am missing some sort of tactics since I can't get past the king of wolves! The only issue I had is that it's sometimes hard to deselect a card which forced my hand... Love the physicality of the cards, top notch UI. Did some similar work in a Prev LDJam, I remember having a slight "card sound (swhuish)" while drawing and hovering over the cards gave it that extra something!
Even without the swhuish sounds this was great! It was easy to understand but i'll have to play for atleast a few hours more before i'll even get close to beating it :)
Best submission I've played so far, spent way top much time on this :) Never managed to beat it but i got the the last boss at least. I think
Great game, my favorite so far! Took me a long while to beat, but I got there in the end. My only real problems with it was my hand gets very bloated after a while, lots of useless cards end up in your hand, so depending on your cycle you might just lose in the end no matter what. Which feels pretty luck based. I also had trouble with changing my mind while playing cards, they ended up being played anyway most of the time even if I tried to click away.
