Solid simple card game, very interesting (and certainly controversial) use of generated art. I am not sure if the damage count was buggy or maybe i misunderstood the rules.

Nice game! I love the art an gameplay. I've honestly not played many card games but this was pretty damn fun to play! I loved getting my 11 damage card and just destroying the enemies hahaha
Nice! The gameplay is basic but easy to understand and fun :) I like the use of image generation models for the artwork. I expect that they play a very big role in the coming generation of computer games at least for the rapid prototyping phase and probably for procedural content as well.
@xoreaxeax for prototyping is super helpful. People with decent art skills can also use AI images as inspiration/templates as base and the build on it.
Nice simple game! I could just pick it up on my phone and start playing. Cool take on the roguelike deck building genre where you upgrade all the cards instead of just certain ones.
It does get a bit easy tho since the shields persist. All in all tho, for a game made in only a short period of time, solid entry!
I believe it is a pretty basic card game, but I am still not sure that I understand all the rules. But I still had fun trying the game, and I managed to kill some of the first monsters. Overall a pretty good jam game.
You have nailed the basics here, it works great!
Would love a bit more spice here, beyond just attacks and defense.
@fromage I would have loved too, but time was tyrant! :D
The gameplay was solid and it was definitely fun. Regarding generated art, my understanding is that all assets must be created by you during the 48hr period. Whether or not generated art is created by you is debatable, but at least in this case the art style looks consistent enough that it didn't seem like generated art without reading the description. Regarding the game mechanics, one feedback I have for the gameplay is that the player can add shield indefinitely, which make it equivalent as health. This makes the health upgrade useless.
This is the first time I've seen AI art generated in a game, though I imagine I'll see more as time goes on. It feels a lot like just using assets off any asset store, except more unique. I think given how easy it probably was to generated them... I feel like I had higher expectations for gameplay. I would love to have seen these crazy generated monsters having more personality, or special attacks, or something along those lines. That said, I played through to the finish and enjoyed it. In game jams I feel like it's always to go more easy than too hard, and you nailed that. Well done :)
A nice, contained, and easy to understand entry. I enjoyed this more than I thought I would, and may be inspired by the gameplay loop idea in future :). Thank you for this entry :D!
I love Slay the Spire! I can see how it was an inspiration. I feel like the game could use a little more balancing. I just picked the "+1 attack" upgrade each time and pretty easily got through all the bosses except the last one where I fortunately had enough shield to get through to the end.
Oh, also, I noticed that you used Unity and WebGL, which is what I used as well. It turns out that you can embed the game directly on your LDJam page. If you're interested in doing that, I [wrote a post about it here](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/52/space-harvest-1/embedding-unity-webgl-directly-in-your-ldjam-game-page)
Very impressive for a COMPO submission. The game has a lot of contants and is very fun.
Congrats!
beat it on the first try. had fun.
Surprisingly impressive art style ... Cool you were able to use AI during a jam to create such visuals! And they fit the theme. Music is solid and fitting. Game mechanics is very standard, nothing special. But impressed you were able to implement it during a game jam! Still not well balanced, but I would not expect it to be in a jam (to much shield for player, too strong weapons, ...). Game mechanics do not fit the theme. Overall a big game for a jam. The visuals stand out ...
nice card game, i really liked to see each enemy! i only upgraded with +1 damage, and it went perfect until the last boss, where i killed him with only 4 hp left.
This is certainly impressive for a compo entry! Yet, I feel like, it is too easy and they mechanics can be exploited too easily, like keeping block and the hand between turns and even fights. Just stack armor and go for dmg upgrades and chip away the enemies. Beat the game first time using this strat :D
Talking about strat, I found no way to see my deck or the draw pile. Thus, I could not make a strategy and played cards on a whim, because there was no planning ahead.
Lastly, I gotta be honest. I don't see how this matches the theme. Like, okay, it's a card game with harvest themed art. But exchange the art with space ships, race cars or even emoji and there's no change.
A lot of potential in this game, keep it up!
