I wonder why this game have no comments here. It has great pixel art and nice take to the gameplay based on building custom robots. Nice work!

Good work guys! Pretty much nice game! PS: I don't know why, but the game just showed me a black screen when I was one step away from winning :sob:
@gonzo13 I really feel your pain! We tried to make balance more comfortable but it still too hard. Thank you for response!
I love the graphics and the audio. Could definitely do with a bit more explanation on how to play, but eventually I figured it out. Good game!
@flaming-aardvark Unfortunately it was hard to do the game and the tutorial. So, I will add the instruction to this page soon! I hope you will try to play again!)
Looks very promising, I figured out how to build robots, but have no idea how to restore energy. Looking forward to the tutorial :) P.S. Arts are great!
@smeljey OMG!!!)) Thanx!
> Looking forward to the tutorial
I added game guide to this page and I really hope that it helps.
Hi @katamary, the graphics and sounds are great, but I don't understand what should I do. I was just randomly clicking. What are the seed for? Why is the energy moving up and down? What produces energy? What feed does, etc. Can you please describe it more precisely?
And I see this, is it correct? Why is the half of the ground covered by something? Snímek obrazovky 2023-01-11 223715.png
Awesome looking game! I loved the graphics, audio and music. As others have said, it's difficult to figure out what's going on. Having a tutorial (even on this page) would make it a lot easier to figure out. Some things I didn't understand: - What do the different robots do? I think I understood Harvesters and Seeders, and could guess what the others do, but it'd be good to make this clear. - I could create a robot without a chassis (with tools and a chipset). Is that intended? - How is energy gained? - Any disadvantage in killing off all your humans? I just left one in storage. - What do the ship upgrades do when you upgrade reactor capacity? - Can I do anything if I have a tonne of tools, but no chassis? Overall, great looking game - nice work getting such a polished looking game together in this time.
@katamary omg, I accidently missed it. Guide is neat! Gonna give it a try once more.
Cool! Wish there was more details about what each thing do, I killed half of my ship population while testing buttons... still an impressive game for a short Jam and a great concept, hope you will expand and refine it.
@richard-jedlicka As the ship's energy increases, more valuable soil for plants opens up.
@rob6566 Okay. Let me explain!) > What do the different robots do? I think I understood Harvesters and Seeders, and could guess what the others do, but it’d be good to make this clear.
- Gardener - harvest wilted plants. - Cargo - delivers seeds and parts to the ship. - Recyclist - disassembles broken robots for seeds.
> I could create a robot without a chassis (with tools and a chipset). Is that intended?
The minimum required kit for a robot is a chassis and a tool. The chipset is used as a modifier. It is clear from the context.
> How is energy gained?
Energy is generated automatically. The higher the level of the reactor, the faster the energy is generated.
> Any disadvantage in killing off all your humans? I just left one in storage.
Ouch. I didn't add the code to trigger bad ending =). But... You can turn off humans capsules to energy economy.
> What do the ship upgrades do when you upgrade reactor capacity?
When the player collects all the missing parts for the ship, he can leave the planet. In other words, win the game.
Thank you for the questions.
Yea need better tutorial, art is pretty nice as well as the idea of building robots. But no idea how to generate energy, you just have to build a set amount of robots and no more ?
I quite like the look of this game but lord I could not figure out how to actually end up gaining energy reliably :D
(update: OK at some point I figured out I guess you feed the reactor with seeds and gain energy that way? but it was unclear if you needed to do anything specific to make the robots do things (click in the field etc? or they just worked by themselves automatically))
I imagine the basic idea of this entry could have worked well had the number of classes of vehicles been stripped down quite dramatically (maybe roughly half as many?) I did figure out that turning off human capsules maybe gave you back some energy in a sense, but even there the feedback loop was really not obvious.
It was also a little confusing that half the field was -always- covered by some sort of plants I guess, but that didn't seem to change?
The overall ambience of the game was really cool though, in that sense it felt pretty polished, even if maybe UX wise it was quite confusing :)
Nice shot at LD either way!
The game looks great, but had no idea how to play.
No idea what to do or how to do it...but at least its looks good. Great graphics.
Thanks for those explanations @katamary - that helps a lot!
hi, Congratulations on completing a game, as other people mentioned some instructions will be helpful and some tool tips when clicking on the robots will definitely add to gameplay. Graphics and animations are spot on for a mini game. Its a nice little game which can be enhanced.
The game looks great, but the lack of progression/tutorial makes it harder to learn at the beginning.
This is very well made, but as others are saying it does need more instructions
Great work and great looking game.
I think it lacked agency I didn't feel as though I had any control over where the robots went, is that even an option?
Also as the game is so dependent on power and appears to be on a mineral rich desert world why not add solar and wind farms to provide additional power.
Noticed the robots run out of power and have to return to the harvester to recharge so would the option of building out a power grid allow for closer recharge points and more efficient robot useage as they will be wasting lots of power just returning to the ship.
Didn't come across any enemies but critters that eat mineral plants would really add another layer to the game.
Had fun playing this one!
Some description for the modules would be helpful.
Got into unlucky situation with no chassis dropping. And got into a lucky situation where you do not need chassis if you use a module .
