Red squares were a bit of a pace-killer but the game was nice. Pacing in general would have been nice to speed up.

One of the juciest games I've played this jam! Lots of polish, although I'm inclined to agree with the above commenter that the red box made the game less fun. The dynamic music was a great addition - also, I love the creativity of making a sequel to a previous jam with a different theme, while matching the new theme too  :loop:
Great game :) I am just curious if there is an end. I got to 59.
Also, I really like how each color changes the way I play. Also, did not expect a "boss fight"
@thedashdude @joeshanahan Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! I'll do something about the red boxes and update the game after the jam ends
@zwodahs There is an end, and that you will reach it if you defeat the boss!

This was pretty fun, I like that the pace is pretty constant, in some games you just want to go from action to action without weird pacing.
BTW, I also saw that you haven't rated any other games. The system won't keep showing your game to other people if you don't rate other people's games, and if you don't get enough ratings, you won't get a final rating. Which is fine if you don't care about that, but just in case you didn't know :)
@zwodahs Congrats!
@sergilazaro Thank you for checking out the game! I am aware of the fact that I should rate other games and leave feedback, do not worry. I will be doing that soon (probably on the weekend)
man that gets hard hahah... really fun... I like the different difficulties! really good stuff
I think when the boss is killed your score is not saved? Got to 2nd place previous run when I lost to the boss..

Very fun fast-paced gameplay :)
Best game I've played this jam! It's beautifully polished and feels great to play, tonnes of great details that add a lot - I love how the music changes with the different boxes. The minimalist art style is done perfectly, its very clear while still being interesting to look at thanks to the flairs you've added. Great job!
Starts out simple, becomes harder later on. I like it! Music is good too. Loved it when the ball bounced from one target to the next while the level was switching. One time it hit three goals in a row without me needing to interfere. Very satisfying.
That's pretty cool! I really like the evolving gameplay and the pace is perfect.
From the "please don't hurt me" point of view, it would be nice to know in advance what box is coming next, so you could launch yourself more gently if it's a red one. However, I realize that that might affect the whole game's balance in ways I can't even imagine at the moment , and might not be the best idea as a result.
Graphics are simple and minimalistic, but they do the job well and the music fits perfectly. Oh, and the cracking and falling apart animation is quite nice!
The gameplay is fun and it's a really solid compo entry.
I wish it showed me my score without having to submit to the leaderboard. But that might be just me.
A very nice entry!
Having a leaderboard is an amazing touch, but not seeing my own score in the UI feels kinda weird. Is it updated real-time on pressing "Submit score"? Also it'd be nice to see whether the loop was escaped or not in the leaderboard, as well as the lost HP.
The adaptive soundtrack works really well, and SFX are on-point.
Minimalist graphics feel like a nice choice, and I really liked the juicy particle effects.
Overall, a solid game, and I kinda wish it had an endless mode to see how far I could get.
Cool and simple idea, enjoyed playing it!
This is really fun! I liked how the gameplay was introduced as part of the game. As others have mentioned, I'm not sure about the red boxes.
What a great entry! Even more impressive that you accomplished all this for a compo. I really enjoyed how you gently introduced mechanics in a very organic way. Visual clarity was very good and the ball aiming controller was well-done. It's a simple game but it does a good job of hooking you in. I think adding the leaderboards at the end was a fantastic touch. Once again, amazed it was all done in a compo. Great entry, and thank you for the game!
Really well done game. Good use of theme. Very fun and super polished. Good job getting a leaderboard in the game. I wish the lose screen displayed your score before you submit it because you have to type in your name, hit submit, and then scroll until you see your name to know what you got. If you did worse then your best score then it just wastes your time. I wish the buildup to the game was faster on replay because the white box with no points by itself is very boring before it gets to the fun and challenging part. Maybe split that beginning part off as a tutorial that only plays the first time and after is skipped unless you want to play starting from the tutorial again in the menu or a skip tutorial button. The arcade music goes really well with the simple art style. It's very clean and understandable. Had a great time playing. Super addicting gameplay. Amazing job!
