@sean-esopenko Oh god... thank you for mentioning - I forgot reloading the nginx. All links are now working as intended!
Very cool, nice application of the theme, it kept me on my toes to think fast!
I liked the music and your artstyle and your game fits the theme.
I noticed that the buffs didn't seem to stack if I use them fast after each other (at least it seemed so).
So I have this problem with the usage of the theme. By giving only three cards it's pretty obvious what to do with those cards and I did it immediately. So I was always waiting and and watching at the timer to get the next hand of cards. So 4 secs playing and 6 secs waiting. Maybe you could hand out more cards or increase a card effect by clicking with the right timing or something?
Nice idea for the theme and awesome graphics and sound! It is more difficult than you think at first!
Fantastic game! Inspired by games like slay the spire, but with a great twist that suits the theme. Finally managed to beat it after several runs. My only complaint is that in order to win you need to hit a draw additional cards powerup at the beginning otherwise you just run out of steam too early and die.
Hidden Gem, I love this game. It's a really good idea. I wasn't able to finish the game, but I played it more than any other game I've played so far as I am a fin of slay the spire :)
Nice game! Great idea for the theme and you managed to make the core card game really interesting! Which can be quite hard! The sprites and art looks really good!! Especially the cards!
Great game! I just kept on thinking "one more" when I couldn't win. At first the 10 second redraw of the hand was annoying until I realized the way it was supposed to be played, after that the game got more tactical. Graphics and audio were great and cohesive. Overall really good!
I like this game's consept, the art style is great in combination with the soundtrack, it does have seme good management decision making and strategy element to it but it feels very unbalanced, I mean that luck plays a role in a way that you either get very lucky or very unlucky with no inbetween which was quite difficult for me. anyway nice work everyone
I loved the game! It does feel a little hard. It seems important to use shield when attack is imminent, use apple right before the end of turn, unless you are about to die, ice immediately always. There seems to be a correct way to play, and I feel like if I try more, I can get through it!! VolNHT6.png
I found this very enjoyable to play, I loved music and the graphics were great! Enough variety in the cards to keep in interesting, good job
I really like your game, it is really well made !
What I liked: - The pixel art. - The humour (with the dialogs). - The soud design and the music. - The card variety. - The difficulty. - The apple card for the healing :).
Improvements: - Maybe more cards at the same time. - I had some issue using the cards sometimes it don't work properly (maybe I missed something).
I really like the concept for this game. Getting a new deck of cards every ten seconds is a really cool idea. I feel like only having three cards to pick from is too little to pick from and I don't understand why I shouldn't just use them all up before my next hand. It would also be nice to at least be able to see a few of the upcoming cards in the next deck to help with strategizing.
Great game, I really liked how the 10 second timer meant you had to plan which cards to use **and** when to use them, rather than just rushing each turn like you would in other games.
I did resort to a cheese tactic of leaving a slow attacking enemy alive at the end of the rounds to heal up and prep for the next round! Loved the style and variety of the cards and enemies.
This was a really fun game. I really like how you used the card format. The only issue I had was I kept finding myself waiting for cards and getting attacked by multiple enemies while waiting down the counter. I wasn't sure exactly when enemies were spawning - was it just after I killed the previous wave? I think maybe I just didn't quite get the hang of the strategy for when to play cards vs. hold off. I really enjoyed the graphics in particular, loved the art throughout. I liked the overall concept, especially the game design that went into what the various cards do.
I like the concept of a real-time card game. I do wish I could see what the cards did after I chose them, that would be my main piece of feedback. Also, only getting 3 cards (by default) every 10 seconds seemed a little low, not many decisions to make per second. The enemy move timers could use some tuning, but I understand balancing for a game jam is always a crap shoot. The music was awesome, and I really liked the graphics, the experience was a lot of fun! Nice work!
I definitely had some tense moments with this one. Wondering if my necromancer would be able to hold on until my next lot of cards came in. I very tragically lost on the final phase this way, barely failing to get a life-saving apple to Mr Necromancer in time. It made the game over music for the necromancers ended quest all the more crushing. But at least that means I get to jam out to the battle music some more. Unfortunately I'm not much of a music critic, I either know I like it or I don't. In this case, it's the former!
Actually, it took me a few tries to beat this. My first couple of tries I died pretty early. Partly this was from not getting any healing deck additions but maybe it was me just not knowing how to play that well. Besides, getting unlucky sometimes is part of the nature of deck building games like this. Part of the fun too, now I think of it.
One criticism I have is that the enemies animate to an extent, but your character doesn't. One the one hand this means he isn't visually distracting, but it also makes him feel like a part of the background rather than a necromancer-turned-chef.
Speaking of our necromancer, your tutorial is very charming, and gives your character a lot of personality. It got me pumped to put what I was being taught to good use!
So yeah, this is definitely a game I'd be happy to play again!
