My highest score was 105  The game is fun and could definitely be expanded to have more features like deck-building. I think you could improve on the sound and graphics. One thing I found confusing was the wording of "Pay 10 Saved". It took me a minute to understand that its referring to the people that you have saved already.
@bit66 Thanks for the hint, I added an explanation for "pay..." to the keywords.
Fun game! My high score was 165. There were a few times where I got two of the same card, would have been nice to guarantee that they were always different so the player always has a decision to make. But overall great job!
@benbennett That's a good point about the same cards. It feels like cheating to "fix" the deck to guarantee different cards, but maybe this could be solved if only unique cards were used

Neat idea. Maybe there could have been more choices with the cards instead of just two.

On my first game, I ended with 37 mana and 0 people saved. That's how a true evil wizard should behave, right? Second game I got a score of 180.
That was fun! Often had interesting choices with no clear best choice to make, which is great balance for a jam game =). Seemed there were even multiple viable strategies with how to balance things. The acceleration was a great number to play with.

The problem with the repeating cards is something I am also facing in my game, setting non repeating options could be an option but that would make the game too big, and manipulating the randomness does feel like sort of a cheat.
Very enjoyable game, with balanced choices and also very nice choice of colors, the game is aesthetically stable and good looking :v:
Really fun concept that could be developed into something great :) I'd love to play a post-compo version of this!

A really interesting take on the "survive as long as you can" interpretation of the theme. I love the idea of controlling the flow of time, which lets me manage how long "as long as I can" actually is. I also appreciated it that the trade-offs between cards were meaningful and at the same there often wasn't a clearly better choice.
Cool game, i had fun with it, my high score was 195. :)

I don't think any other game has made me plan and think so far ahead, really creative! Only feedback I have is that it felt bad when I got two of the same card. Maybe a little logic to prevent ever putting the same option on both cards? Nice job, especially in compo!

Heyy, Meteor buddy indeed  ! Interesting card game ! I scored 165.
About the pay, I wasn't sure if we could play the card even though we don't have the required amount. Turns out we can still play it and the "bonus" is just ignored.
It was fun to play on overall. Congratz on this entry ! :tada:
Nice game! More card choices would be better to avoid getting two of the same card. Anyways, nice job tho!

fun game.. scored 190, although looks like last card did not apply the bonuses which is shame cause I was trying to edge it

Very fun! It's a pretty simple idea but wonderfully executed, with clear and concise controls+UI. It took me a while to understand all the factors the cards controlled, but after that I couldn't stop playing! It's pretty cool how many factors you were able to add and how they all interact, with many interesting trade-offs! I especially liked the acceleration factor. The only thing I missed was some background music to set the mood!
I got to 195 people saved in the end!
Nice entry. A bit weird to have seen so many negative acceleration cards popping up early before I had ever had a chance to increase it beyond 1, since the acceleration can't be reduced below 1.
Fun game! I think it could be bit more engaging with a clear goal, like "save 100 people to win", or something like that. Just a thought!
I like the visibility of the meteor on its collision course.
Great job!

Saved 190 people! Fun game with a short and engaging gameplay loop that isn't hard to understand! Sometimes I got trivial decisions, like having 2 of the same card or having "Accelerate -1" vs "Advance 10 Accelerate -1", but that doesn't take much away from the overall experience! Good Job!
