Checked it out on stream for a while. Sadly, there wasn't anyone else playing, so I don't know how well it plays with a lot of people on the game. Felt really responsive, graphics look great. I'm not really sure what each bar means and how it will be affected by each building, so adding more info on that would have been a great addition. Overall, an interesting experience, would love to see more stream games like this.

Really powerfull to see a game made on this little time work well! It's surprising and seing the city grows seems fun ! I hope it will grow more and more in the next day (or burn to the ground :fire: )

I built a house and then someone built one next to me and that was the closest connection to a random internet stranger I have ever had. 10/10 game

The game that involves community deserves sth) and I love that little plain flying by

I just love this type of games. It's a shame that so few people are playing them. The (un)balance theme is played very well here. The only thing missing in this game is a little more explanation. What do these or those buildings do. And it would also be nice to add a description of the available commands to the stream (or even to the name of the stream) Thank you for your entry! This was a fun experience =)

Great ideas !

Fun to play ^^ It would be nice to add a "random effect" to add more challenge. It's always so cool to see this city grow with the community.

Sounds and graphics are very polish :)

I enjoyed it, I added to many power plants and the city collapsed though

morcroc 2021-10-06 04:05

I liked it, it would have been more fun and chaotic with some people playing it at the same time. Maybe a little more info on what each building do, i wasn´t sure how to get more money.

Well that one gets 5 out of 5 in Innovation for sure :)

Fascinating idea, and well executed! The pixel art is pleasing to the eye and music is nice too. The soundtrack reminds me a bit of The Sims music :)

I played a couple of times with other people, it was fun. :) Cool that the city expands beyond one platform

Great graphics and really like the idea of people playing it on Twitch. Would love to see a version where you could play locally but hopefully more people join the stream to make it more interesting.

I'd actually be really interested to use this when I stream if were scaled down a bit and made to use Twitch channel points. I've tried making similar things so I know how difficult it can be working with some of the more advanced twitch API things though! (so many verifications and hoops to jump through) haha. Great job! (Also I tried making apartments but couldn't get them to work. I tried a few times but maybe apartments isn't spelled correctly in your code?)

Nice idea, very original! In itself it is a bit slow paced, but I guess that during the breaks of a stream with many viewers this could be entertaining. Congratulations on making that.

Shame more people weren't playing when I found this. I completed an entire neighborhood alone (+ one building placed by streamer), and I have to say it was satisfying watching it grow from a blank slate to a full city; the progression of the busy city background noise was nice, and as others say it felt really responsive (though I'm sure that's ping-dependent). It would be nice to have a bot or something that points out errors like "there's already a tile there!" or "invalid argument!", as I kept getting confused as to which tile I was actually targeting (as well as doing silly things like confusing the number 7 for the letter j, then trying to place houses like "78" or some such); the more buildings and roads were on the board, the harder I found it to figure out what letter/number combo I needed because the grid was obscured. Not sure that can be helped.

I also love, in the busy city life bumbling, it's mostly generic People Noise but you occasionally get the snippet of conversation you can make out ("What an original comment!") - much like actually being in a busy place! It was very pleasant.

I think the helpful plane banners would be more helpful either higher or lower on the screen, as I find they also contributed to my not knowing what grid tile I was trying to get to when they blocked my view in the middle.

It was lonely and slow playing alone, but I found the music satisfying, like a really tedious game of SimCity or something? I think it would be extremely fun in a mid-size viewer stream; not hundreds, perhaps, but at least maybe 50 viewers. There's a fine balance between having fun building a city as a community versus your tiles never getting built in a high-paced chat, hypothetically speaking. I think other features might be fun in that situation; maybe the ability to cause earthquakes or something? Though !Burn covers a lot of that.

Aesthetically, the one thing I don't really like on the stream is the !command panel. Specifically, what's up with the gap on the bottom grid, bro?

I also have no idea what the blue meter is; it's either "tourists" or "dance party at the casino tonight!" but I had no trouble deducing what buildings did to the different meters.

Fun game overall, wish it had more visibility so I could play it in a group as intended! Maybe a couple bots that input random commands every time a player types one could solve that problem, lol.

It is unusual for me, that someone decided to make twitch game as jam game. Good for you!

There are really nice background music, ambient sound and sound effects at all. Also graphics are likeable. I like that buildings have various sprites for same thing.

I have few suggestions, what you can improve: - build (and guages changing) animation could be a bit longer because now it's hard to notice what has been changed - imho, plane is too fast to read tips (text becomes illegible) or it's just my fps. - it would be convinient if command coordinates worked both ways (A1 and 1A)

PS You should add on your stream, link to your game, because if somebody show up first on twitch, not LD page, has hard task to find that page.
