Thanks to this game I've learned that I would make a very poor back alley surgeon. This well made and I like the art style. Nice work!

Thanks to this game I've learned that I would make a very poor back alley surgeon. This well made and I like the art style. Nice work!
It was confusing to understand how I was supposed to help patients, but it was a cool concept non-the-less
This game was actually fun once I realized the heartbeat monitor and the rest of the monitors had draggable items to place on the patient. I thought all my patients were dead for a while. I also thought it was funny how I had to put a toe tag on a patient that didn't have toes sometimes. The descriptions for the problems patients were having were hilarious. It was kind of weird how the injections were called beepy up and down but the beepy heart monitor wasn't what they affected. Overall this was an awesome game!
It took me a while to work out the various items and I didn't realise that the clipboard had a second page to it for a while. I was never really sure what I should be doing and what I go wrong but, I suppose, that might be the point of it?! Very slick looking but the music was a bit repetitive and felt a bit out of place.
I don't even player a doctor on TV. And it's a good thing. All of my patients died. The music was suitably creepy and the art was well done. I just wish I knew what I was doing.
How can I put a toe tag in a person without toes?
@don-fouts Thanks very much! @leyamez A little more instruction would be good, but I didn't have the time to add it in. Maybe I'll put it in the description. @classicdillster They were originally called "BP Up" and "BP Down" for Blood Pressure, but a comment was made that it sounded like "beepy", so I renamed them. Then the same person that made the comment kept thinking they were for Heart Rate and killed many patients. This amused me so I kept the names to cause the confusion. @malcolm The music was supposed to loop but I think I distracted Kyle when I asked for the voice lines.
The game is fine and fun to play, however it's challenging to get my head round gameplay, as the UX a little bit cluncky. However, the idea is great.
I had fun with this. It looks good but I didn't know the clipboard had two pages til someone pointed it out. It took me a few minutes to get into the swing of things but got the idea once I did. Love how the music gets more messed up the more you mess up. Nice touch. Also, when you kill people on purpose, it just makes the scanario that more demented >:). You did a great job, lads!
Fun idea, it was fun exploring and figuring out things that can be done. A bit obtuse figuring out how to treat every patient but I really like where this was going. Great work on it! Also I dig the art style a lot
Haha Great graphics details, I like the humor of this one. I'm impressed the back alley has an ICU. It took me some time to understand if I was getting things right or not. I learned that I was doing correct when I send a patient to wrong place :p I had difficulty to drag'n'drop some stuff in the beginning and sometimes left wondering if the red squares should be all filled or it was just a nice thing you did to let the player have some autonomy. Some balancing is required also, some patient with high hearth beat had got injected their weight in sleepy stuff to get back to normal hahaha
Awesome graphics, some better feedback for when things are done correctly would go a long way. Also at one point I got a dead patient with no feet so no way to put a toe tag on.. not sure what to do there. Awesome presentation though, wouldn't have guessed it was made for Ludum Dare :D
@tyler-law As we didn't have time for a tutorial, the "story" is you are just thrown in with no idea what to do and have to figure it out yourself. @debone Balancing is for sure needed. There were plans and ideas to limit the number of treatments you could apply to make the ward/ICU difference more important, but time ran out. @mactinite Legless dead people are the built in game over condition because I ran out of time to add in the neck version of the toe tag.
I really like to concept, and the graphics are great. I would add more tension, more unstable extreme values, and maybe more things/ medication to interact with. Overall great job!
My first day on the job, and this is the very FIRST patient I get:

I'm sure I can still help him. Nurse!!! Nuuuurse!
So I restarted the game :). I liked the graphics (the design of the whole space is very nice) and the music, even though in a short loop, was just fine and didn't get tiring. The game plays alright and keeps interest for a while. It gets repetitive after a time, but that's the nature of such games. Would be cool if some additional complications could arise during the treatment (e.g. suddenly a creepy hospital clown comes in ;)), as there is a lot of downtime between applying treatments, especially if the patient has only one problem.
I loved the bits of humor on my patient's admission cards, and Kyle from HR is a scary dude.
The web build didn't work well for me. It was sluggish and actually hanged my whole PC at one time (I'm on Firefox, if that matters). Downloadable worked just fine.
The humor on the info boards cracked me up! I couldn't really figure out how to help most of my patients (as most came in dead without any legs  It definitely made me laugh quite a bit. It's a really solid base and I feel like if you could expand this with a few tutorial levels easing players into the different tools, I'd be playing this for quite a while. Really impressive where you got with this in the limited time given in the jam too!
Very nice concept but i really enjoy it :) Keep the good work :a:
Great humor and graphics! I loved the environment. I'd like to see a bit of more sound variation. Good job!
I think I stabbed every patient with a syringe. And that was cool! But guys, do not write vertically on objects, I broke my neck a little 😅

Lack of a tutorial hurts here, but the failure cards are a functional post-failure tutorial.
The voices are a nice touch. Mechanics seem solid.
Nice work!
