I played for a long time but never got to the leaderboard, but mad respect. I like how the Chroma and Vignette kick in as the magic gets unstable, we did similar in our game. Also the AI was well balanced and I liked how I was my own worse enemy lol! Great job!
I liked how the spells bounce for a while so the more you cast the more dangerous it makes it for you. Otherwise it was a bit hard to know where to go, some guidance would help a lot
After I've found the first "milestone" I got the idea behind it. But I find it too hard. Even with the hint where the second milestone will be. The map is really big and I usually kill myself with the range attack (but that was actually pretty fun). I think I was close finish the 2nd milestone but I died for non obvious reasons and after 10min I gave up. So for dumb players like me more guidance would be nice - but I understand that this is hard to balance. Because too much hints would destroy the base concept. So may I'm not the target group, but thats ok. Because overall it is a pretty good game :)
The graphic style is interesting, the audio effects were good, I found it a little confusing to understand where I had to go but using the magic powers in combat was satisfying. Good job guys!
A neat entry that I think works really well mechanic wise. I didn't get too far into due to getting stuck and I think there being a bug/invisible enemies/something hurting me randomly, but from what I played the more magic being cast making it stronger yet also more unstable is an idea I especially love.

Nice and clean graphic, but what should the player do is confusing. I played a while, feeling lost and start playing it as a bullet hell game.
I ran around for a long time but couldn't find anything or anyonne lol but from your screenshots and runing around the game is super pretty. I love the artstyle and yet you say the character doesn't have a proper model lol I think it looks good as is :D
overall not a bad game but there are a lot of bugs!

The graphics are really nice and they work well with the overall mood of the game. The magical attacks felt satisfying as well and I liked that I couldn't just spam my attack, because it could hurt me as well when it bounces around. I did feel like the map was a bit too big and I wasn't really sure where to go next, but aside from that I think you did a terrific job!
Graphics is very good!
But when i played it,there is nothing else,just a character can move around.Maybe i catched a bug?
And there show a waring:HTTP Response Header "Content-Type" configured incorrectly on the server for file Build/Build2.wasm , should be "application/wasm". Startup time performance will suffer.
Love the graphics! However lots of bugs can be found. I can see how well you'd have done if given enough time.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. We realize that the biggest issue with our entry is lack of direction. I guess sacrificing play test in order to get everything done has its prize  I have added some hints to the description page to hopefully get more players through to the end. I hope a few of you are up for a replay. There are still a lot of spots up for grabs on the Leaderboard.
@benmcnelly Thanks for your feedback. Hope you have time to complete the game after reading the hints.
@cosmonautical Glad you liked the mechanic :) Thanks for your feedback.
@tomate-salat It is definitely a balance between direction and exploration, but I think we ended up with too little directions this time. Glad you enjoyed the bounce mechanic. Thanks for the feedback.
@donatello Thanks. We spent a lot of time tweaking sound and animations to make combat satisfying. Glad you enjoyed it.
@energizedblast Glad you liked the mechanic. There definitely was to few directions and you are not the first one to get stuck. Read the hints and you are ready for a replay.
@alexyam Thanks for your feedback. Hope you'll get a chance to play again with the newly posted hints.
@d3kryption Glad you liked the graphics. Reading the hints might point you in the right direction. Thanks for the feedback.
@vyacheslavign Yes. We were not able to play test much and scrambled to just get the game playable. Thanks for the feedback.
@manzdeh Thanks for the feedback. We probably made the map to big and failed to provide enough direction. Note to self: Play test more next time. Glad you enjoyed the graphics and bounce mechanic.
@cloistered The error should be ok. I think you just didn't find the first waypoint which is what unlocks the abilities and enemies. Maybe give it another go with the newly posted hints?
@m0dsat OK its worked~thx for the tips
That would be better if the raven guide me from the start position to there~
Followed you and waiting for your new games~
First, the game ambiance is really good and immersive, in great part thanks to the choice of music and sfx. Very horror-ish which I believe was the intent. The low poly graphics could use a bit more polish but do the job in contributing to the ambiance, especially the lighting. The main gameplay mechanic is interesting and reminded me of Magicka with a pretty powerful spell that can also be very inconvenient to use if you're not careful.
On the other hand, I agree with the other comments about the lack of guidance. It might be me being a bit dumb but when I first started the game I spend a good while roaming around just to stumble upon the red grave. I believe it could go a long way to even add subtle things like lamps with a different color, unusual objects or creatures nudging the player towards where they're supposed to go.
If you keep working on the project, I also personally would like a dodge mechanic, maybe a roll or a dash to make the combat more dynamic, and also more spells that are even more unstable! That would be cool!
Overall I still enjoyed the game and for a first, it's pretty good. Keep at it!

Well, I have to say, I really liked the gameplay. It was pretty fun and the controls felt super responsive. I found the red grave somewhat easily, but it took like 4 minutes to find it. I also got into the mausouleum, but there was nothing there (I assume that's where the bossfight is supposed to be?). I also ran into a glitch where I would take damage... I think that might be the game mechanics, but it was super uncertain. The visuals and sound were very nice. Overall good game, but it kinda feels unfinished atm. Maybe you scoped too big. However, what you have is pretty solid.
The map is just too big and empty. I spent a lot of time walking along empty pathways. The visual effects were cool, but the game would definately improve by just making map smaller or putting more enemies there.
As I see in some of the comments above, the map is big and - apart from visuals - mechanicaly empty, to correct this, there could be some powerups or health pickups in different corners OR you could shrink the map considerably and make it more of a gauntlet to get to the mausoleum. With smaller map, you would have more time to look at some other features :) In my opinion, the inclusion of a leaderboard was unnecessarry as I see these more for a quicker paced games, in this game which had a dark atmosphere, it could actually hurt it by making players feel constantly pushed forward as they are timed, instead of them carefully crawling forward, waiting what's behind the next corner (I would at least hide the timer in-game and give the player a time afterward) I wasn't sure what I was doing wrong, but I think the mausoleum was the giant door, but I didn't know how to open it also everytime I went near that area, I started taking damage from invisible sources. Now, the positive - The game has quite a good atmosphere (some of the post-processing screen effects were a bit much though), the background sound and the pale color palette went together nicely (one thing that would help immerse me more would be the inclusion of footstep sounds). The combat felt very good (speaking of the graveyard area as I couldn't make it further): screen shake - check, sound effects - check, hit effects - check, just all around pleasing to use, if you wanted to make it a bit more fluid, I would allow the player to move at a slower pace while channeling the fireball.
Everything here is just my opinion, I don't want to discourage you as I know from experience from working on several LDs that under the time pressure a lot of stuff gets lost, you forget something, don't notice some little things and that goes with the game jam :)
Finally - good work on creating something like this, graphics, audio and effect work was really good. If you polish it a bit further (or create something the next LD), I would love to give it another go :)
Its easy to see how much work you put in this game. I love the lighting, the mood and the art style. I would have loved to hear a few more sounds and ambience.
That felt very polished, but clearly unfinished. You guys did a lot of work putting this together in time for the jam, and I think you have a good foundation for a game here. There are a lot of suggestions on what you can improve, but I'm sure you guys had your own ideas of things you wanted to do but didn't have time to add. If you haven't decided on whether you want to develop this further, I recommend at least dedicating a few hours a week to try and turn this into a more complete concept for a game. You might be surprised how far you could take it, especially since you already have a lot of the groundwork finished.
Also, I suggest you experiment with the lighting. I think this game could work as a sort of horror game. If you make the whole world totally dark and give the player a flashlight, it would make the combat a lot more interesting and terrifying especially with those enemies that charge at you.

Very interesting concept of game. I love your light effects of magic. The form and color are perfect!
