Soo interesting idea!!! Really cool game! Thank you)

A very nice unique idea! And the option to save your plants as an image is such sweet addition :)

jorim 2021-04-27 09:57

An interesting idea, but I'm missing the gameplay aspect of this. Not sure if I'm missing some gameplay mechanics. If not, the visuals are nice and the mood is relaxing.

This is a cool little simulation! I love procedural stuff like this

lorwon 2021-04-27 09:59

Very good idea ! (do not forget to put a cover image to your game)

catoryu 2021-04-27 09:59

Quite simple which is good but mechanics aren't very clear, we're not aware of how much influence we have over the roots so it's difficult to change their direction.

Interesting idea! I like this simulation, also that you implemeted stones stopping the roots - in addition some feedback would have been nice to be sure to be really influencing the root's direction and to see which roots are still growable. But all in all I enjoyed playing it.

Nice idea with the mechanics, the growing towards the mouse is a bit too subtle and it's not obvious when it's working, but nice and relaxing to see everything grow, good job!

Thanks everyone !

@jorim I don't think you are missing anything, I wish I added more gameplay elements but was short on time after spending a lot of it learning WebGL.

I'm still happy with the result and the experience overall :)

Interesting concept! I liked the idea you could slightly control in which direction the roots are growing.

vuvuzela80 2021-04-28 15:11

Good game! first time i see that! I appreciate it but a think you need to add some gameplay elements to be more enjoyable. However, well done!

It got so dark down at the bottom! D:

I really like the idea, a fun take on the theme. I've certainly never played a root-growin' rock-dodge-'em-up before. Also a great idea to let people save screenshots! My plant is kinda scraggly, not exactly worth framing on the wall, but I suppose it's a matter of practice.

Cool little game with a pretty unique idea - this could definitely be expanded on to be really fun! I miss a relaxing soundtrack, and it would be pretty cool if you could see the flower/top of this plant when taking a picture!

jonrei 2021-05-02 17:47

Nice little simulation game, but im not sure if i actually did anything tho, the expansion felt kinda random.

eckkert 2021-05-07 04:42

It was a fun tech demo. I think it would be nice if the attraction to the mouse was stronger; I was able to tell it was going on, but it would be cool if it was longer-range.

okamit 2021-05-08 00:41

Unique idea, over all cute and interesting tech demo! Good work!

mharring 2021-05-08 00:50

Interesting concept! You could definitely go somewhere with this. As others have mentioned, it could use some gameplay mechanics and sound effects, but this is a good start.

tanis 2021-05-08 16:21

Interesting take on the theme. I find it a bit hard to understand how much your hovering near a root actually influences its growth. Maybe some kind of feedback would help there. Some music and sound effects would have also been a nice to-have. Anyway good execution.

Great idea, and it looks good, although it's still incomplete as a game. As you get deeper, the view gets so dark it's impossible to see, with the white border. Also the roots seem to grind to a halt at some point, is that supposed to happen?
