Nice game It feels really dark tho, but I guess it's necessary so the coins are harder to find.
Maybe if the player character was in the light himself it would make the game feel more welcoming.
I like the aesthetic tho, and the upgrade system is a nice addition.

I do like the general look and feel, but as above, while unrealistic, I think having the player lit up might have improved the feel a little bit. Also this was a bit silly on my end, but I started playing using the mouse to shoot and felt it was strange that it didn't control your aiming. I then scrolled down and saw that you intended for us to use space to shoot which made it feel better, though it may have been better to be able to aim up and down in some way. Perhaps also aiming your flashlight.
To the two comments so far, I reuploaded with a slight tweak to the lighting to hopefully make everything less dark.
Impressive job, I like the players weight/momentum and it plays remarkably well over the internet
Great game! Super fluid and well balanced.
I think you can make the flashlight brighter as it's still too dark for me in some area. But otherwise the game is great! Stats are well-balanced (I would rather reduce the hp of enemies and make them spawn more often, but it's also good right now), controls are good, and the upgrade system is well done!
Impressive amount of work in 48 hours. Keep it up!

Really impressive use of 3D in the game and getting it all working together. Felt really good to play and a good mix of sounds and music added.

Wow, really really impressive for a compo entry! Very nice and fluid animations, great dark atmosphere. Extremelly well-polished overall.
Controls were mostly good, but I found hard to reach a few certain platforms.
I liked the sound effects. The music itself is good, but I think a "darker" music would be a better match for the game.
At a certain point I started to think that my biggest complain would be that the game was too long. Then I reached level 1, level 0, level -1 and gave up at level -2. Is there an ending after all?
Anyway, kudos! Very solid and fun game!
@lmb 48 hours is way too much of a time constraint for a boss fight. Additionally, if I put a boss at the end of 12 floors no one would ever see it other than you.

@scalphamission No need for a boss, a written message would be fine! (By the way, I am not suggesting that you should have added a "congratulations" message. It's all about implementing whatever we think will give us the best return in the short time we have -- and in my opinion you did a very good job prioritizing features for your game!)
Wow, this is a really impressive compo entry. A lot of fun, too! Probably the most time I've put into playing an entry so far just because it was that fun to play. Nice work!
Controlled well, though it would've been nice to be able to aim up and down, especially in later levels when the flying enemies start getting out of hand.
I thought there'd be ending (even just a "You survived!") since there was a floor countdown, but it just kept going. Called it quits on floor -2.

Fun game! The lack of room variety kind of held it back a bit but that's what comes with time constraints! Very fun concept for a game, and if you added more content and maybe developed the combat a bit more this'd be a really fun thing to play :o) Really though the graphics are good, the movement is nice and the coin/upgrade mechanic is good!

Hey its a fun game! I like the graphics, sounds, music. Threa are just few things you could improve: differents game design, fix the jump, put some angles for the shot and maybe to put colision in walls/stairs. Good game for a compo, congrats =)

Nice! I just managed to go down to 10. It's really hard. The ghosts(?) are unbeatable, right? Those took a lot of life away from me. And as the map is randomly(?) generated, that didn't help me that much :)
@mudlee ghosts are totally killable and they take sanity rather than health.
I really enjoyed this game. The style is very retro and spooky. The only real problem is that it became a bit repetitive after while.

Both fun and moody. I like the atmosphere and it was really fun to play. I was some hoping kind of ending when reaching level 0, I stopped playing at leval -3 !
It got really easier once I picked up the attack and defense bonuses. Some collisions felt a little bit awkward. And the jump is not nervous enough in my opnion to escape bullets for example.
The graphics, the sounds, the light fx and the animations are really good. Nice entry !
Where's the health bar? Didn't understand UI. The music is nice, though repetitive. Cool graphics, but sometimes confusing where you can actually jump or go. Nice room with boosters. Got a ghostbusters' vibe somehow.

@scalphamission hah, thanks. Somewhy, there was nothing like this, maybe the resolution... Anyway, nice way to have different bars and dif enemy types.
