Nice little game.I didn't managed to beat it though because my people keept dying of starvation ...
The art style is so nice!! I'm not sure if I was doing things correctly, sometimes I would need to make camp to trigger events and sometimes they popped up automatically? In any case, I had a really nice time playing and trying to keep people alive. Good job!
A very nice little game! I would actually love to see it being fully developed with a more polished game mechanisms
The ArtStyle is very nice! Very good game ;)
This awesome. I love the visuals, the sound, the design. Just excellent all around. I'll probably be playing this for a while. If you look at my entry you'll see that I approve of punishing simple mechanics. The stacking element of gathering when making camp is brilliant. I really don't have much to complain about other than I wish there were more of it! Great work!
Edit: I'll steal from @wheybags retroactively and agree that the popups do get to be a bit much as you edge closer to death.
Art style was nice! I felt a bit confused as to where to go. Also the popups become a bit too much when you're not doing well, every tile you get a fullscreen window telling you someone has a cough or has mutinied :p it's a bit too much when you're just trying to move arounf and explore.
Just... wow. This is awesome. Felt unbelievably polished for a jam game.
Really beautiful art style. Needs more ingame explanations on how to play. Maybe a little tutorial? But the mood is delicious!
The vibe was awesome! everything was simply combined and gave a fun experience. The music and the art was a balanced atmosphere setter. ironically I almost lost track of time playing this while losing track of the daytime within the game ;) Awesome work!
I love the design and color palette, this is what attracted me to play. The less is more rule, definitely works here. I'm not a big fun of this type of games nonetheless i've enjoyed it very much.. i found myself playing at least 20 minutes without even noticing. Great work! :)
The art and style are so simple but so damn good. The game itself itself is cool and in the end I found the mother tree. But when I played first time I didn't understand the goal and what should I do. Maybe I miss something but it would be cool to have a hint that there is the end goal of game. Cause in my first time I just tried to stay alive
P.S. By the way music is also good and suitable, even if it's not yours picking right one is also important
Awesome art and very interesting gameplay.I couldn't find the tree. She exists?
I really enjoyed it! The art is simple but nice and the color scheme is great. The music really enhances the atmosphere. Exploration is rewarding and even after a while the game still could surprise me - like suddenly meeting Baba Yaga :).
It's a really good jam game. I only wonder - can you win it or is it just about surviving as long as you can? I've reached the mountain border to the south and the "endless" ice field (invisible wall) to the north. East and West also seem to be fully bordered by mountains. But maybe I missed some secret passage?
Фух, довольно сложная игра получилась. Действительно передает все тяготы выживания первопроходцев на неизведанной территории. Очень понравился минималистичный визуальный стиль :)
I loved the art, and the sort of doomed, Oregon Trail esque vibe I got throughout the game. I must admit, when I saw the name Kevin Macloud I almost clicked away, but the music nails the mood. At first, I didn't realize that the camp button was there, resulting in a squad of insomniacs. Maybe offer an option in one of the popups?
I love the art style and the concept! Great game!
Cute game, loved the graphics! Great jam!
Really nice ambiance and I love the simple but efficient graphisme. There is a good story and the game is pretty original, I think for the moment this one of my prefered games tested for the moment for its quality, univers and originality
Really loved the ambiance and the art ! Took some time to understand how camp worked .I also had a bit of a hard time getting around and understand where to go so i didn't felt like i was going anywhere. Having a quick way to dismiss pop up so it stop you less in exploring could be nice.
The art was awesome, great job. The game feel was very well done and I enjoyed exploring the woods and the making camp / gathering mechanics. My one feedback is that I would have liked a bit more direction on what to do. Great jam!
I absolutely love this game. I'm a huge fan of turn-based games, and tabletop games. And I'm a huge fan of this game. :) I would be very happy to see it explored and expanded further. Thanks for making it!
I'm amazed at how captivating this game is. Art is minimalistic, but very stylish, kudos on that! Really neat for a 3-day game done by one person
The art and music are exellent! Btw I really enjoy the exploration game mechanic, especially when you can found unusual places like Baba Yaga House. Reminds me of fairy tailes from childhood. Thanks for making the game!
Really moody game. Neat graphics and music. I liked the mechanics, made me think of a turn-based "Don't starve", transposed in the taiga of course :) Kind of hard to know where to go though, at my first attempt I tried to go to the south, and the second one to the north, but at the end everyone always dies. Like other comments, a bit of direction on what to do would be great. Anyway, thanks for this nice game!
@gaming-night Yeah, the game used to explicitly say GO TO THE EAST but that got cut at some point and I forgot to add the hint back. It's funny that it reminded you of Don't Starve because my main point of reference was exploration part in Civ games, but I guess the end result does have more in common with Don't Starve, lol.
A very moody game. Interesting theme.
Nicely polished with a top knotch mood. I don't think I won, but the experience was still good fun, I'll be trying again soon. Thanks!
Arts are awesome, and this game is very polished. I enjoyed the game. The music is great but I'm not sure it fits well with the game. As @gaming-night , This game remind me "Don't Starve".
I think there is too much popup, you should show popup at the beginning and after just add FX and informations at the left or right side of the screen. Also, the button "set a camp" is not very visible, maybe change his position or make it more visible.
Overall, it's very fun game
I really like the feeling of playing this game. Considering where to camp was fun and interesting and the rules supported spots that felt like they should be good spots quite well. I also really enjoyed the art. I did head east but eventually just hit a lot of mountains; tried going around them but died before finding a way.
So cute.
I loved the mood and art style of this entry SO much! Some animation would have been welcome, the movement to the next tile is a little bit abrupt.
Think this would make a really good roguelike with some additional mechanics and randomised map!
Really nice concept and game. Really well polished and developped ! Congratulation for your work ! Just a small remark, I would have enjoy playing with my keyboard ;)
Very awesome art in this game!!! Challenging and fun too! Awesome work!! :D
