I don't know what I was expecting. I'll be honest, I think I identified more as the skull wearing the helmet. Regardless, I really like the artwork. Gameplay is quite simple and it felt largely impossible to really direct the helmet before you smashed into something. Although the point of the game was largely about crashing into things so maybe that doesn't matter?
I also thought I was the skull and not the helmet. Telling me I was the helmet totally ruined my immersion (lol, jk).
Quick and funny. There wasn't a lot of strategy or anything that I could tell other than to just run into as many things as possible. Maybe if everything was smaller so I could see a little farther ahead? I was falling too fast to react to anything coming up from below.
Those are some squishy orcs!
Great fun. Super bouncy. I manage to wake up about 300-400 orcs each time. Should be enough to slay those pesky men, the elf, the dwarf, hobbits and the wizard!

@oxrock Yeah I realise that now, but we came up with the concept, forgetting that there was a skull in the helmet in the scene. So when I re-watched the scene.. I added the skull.

@minibobbo yes orcs are smelly and squishy, goblins are better!

Neat! If you don't get first place for innovation, I don't know who will, just the concept got a laugh out of me! Good work! Untitled 1.png

Fun concept! Both playing for score (orcs alerted) and time feel satisfying. Especially going very fast when you play for time and manage to avoid obstacles. The only thing I would have liked to be different is to have a bigger field of view so we can more easily avoid/go towards the obstacles. The best method to maximize your time/score for now is to memorize the level. Here is the best time I got when using this method: Capture d’écran 2021-04-29 à 13.03.35.png

@junojop thank you!!
What a wacky idea... I love it! Good work on the visuals especially. The idea is certainly unique and a funny reference. It's fun to go for a high score after you figure out how the game works. (Maybe someone can reach 1k?)🤔

Funny concept and a great take on the theme. Played through a few times because there's something satisfying about the mechanic of just making as many clanking sounds as possible.
One thing is that it might be a good idea to tie the score somehow to the speed of the helmet collisions. As it is I quickly figured out I could wedge the helmet inbetween the wall and a spike to get a really high score with little difficulty.
Great concept though and good execution!

Never really got into the LOTR world but now this got me curios as to what this was related to haha. nevertheless this was really fun to play. the 2D atmosphere and the audio gives it some magic. Really awesome work with the short amount of time!
Fun idea for a game

Very interesting game, the operation is very smooth, but I am confused why hitting the wall will increase the score, I try to keep hitting the wall, and the score is twice as much as my first timep1.png
The game is really well done overall! The only thing I can point out is the fact that the physics get a little wonky when the helmet slows down, but other than that I think the game is overall a simple concept done really well! The premise is also quite funny I have to say and gives a fun context for the game.

This is such a hilarious concept, nicely done! I was a little disappointed that the optimal strategy I found seemed to be to wedge myself between the first spike and the wall next to it and then mash A and D. Maybe a limit to the number of orcs that can be alerted from any particular area could encourage more movement? (Also, I just had to post my high score ) 2021-04-30-093316_1275x713.png
Oh one final thing, this is less about the game and more about the itch.io page, but it would be great if there were a button for full screening the game. It was a little tricky getting the whole thing to fit on my screen.
reminds me a lot of those old newgrounds flash games where you launch some object then watch the mayhem. Add in some upgrades and other enemies and this is literally the kind of game i would have wasted dozens of hours on back in college, well done. Particularly love the graphics and sound. I did hit a bug though, for some reason it keeps not grabbing keyboard properly so I'd press A and D and it would jump away from the game and run a search, other webassembly and html5 games don't seem to do this for me so not sure why this one does.

Great idea for the game. Very nice graphics, audio and controls. The intro and the "you fool" is great as it really sets the mood. Fun game.
Ok, this actually made me laugh quite a bunch. the whole premise, with the music, and the orcs yelling was somehow too funny to me, hahahah Wished i could somehow have an indicator to see the obstacles coming! So i could better position myself to crash into them or avoid them. I mean, rather than just memorizing the level that is! Maximum i got (without wedging myself between a spike and a wall) was 370, which took quite a bunch of tries! This was funny, i had a laugh!
This was a really funny entry and was suprisingly addicting trying to beat my best score. Great job!

I've been making a new game lately and I thought I'd play this a little for fun. Now I wanna go through the suggestions and make the fixes you asked for.. but the files are on my old PC :(
