love the art and the feel of the game, great job! Such an awesome opening. great sound too. Only small critisism is that initially the mines are a little hard to see against the background.

Beautiful pixelart, very funny game, I can't believe I went deeper than the Mariana trench. It plays really well too.
My only suggestion is that the dolphins should move a bit faster laterally, otherwise it's too hard to avoid obstacles with them, specially the deeper you go.
Great job!
This game is so much fun! I love how there are basically two segments to it: the doing tricks part as you are falling, and the part where you are actually diving deeper and deeper! It feels super arcade-y and replayable, great job team!
@thisismatt @asdehielo @camden-obertop Thank you very much for your comments and suggestions! Glad you liked it :) And super great to have these suggestions in case we continue developing this game after the jam.
awesome entry, I think making the character have high saturated pink skin was a great call, he was very visible at all times, good contrast. I had the impression that the bottom part of the mines were lethal, you probably could have gotten away with just having the spike ball part appear. Again though the entry was really fun, had good visuals and good audio, great stuff
Nice game, I managed to go 12,000 meters deep :D Nice visuals and the music is nice too :)
Awesome game, really great artwork and animations, and game feel overall. I liked the WASD thing at the beginning, and the underwater part felt really good. Dolphins are always great too. Overall really nice job!
What a great little title! Super accessible and fun to play. I really liked your usage of colour to show that the dolphins were a power-up. Thanks so much for making this!
Really great game, most fun i've had in this jam ! I love the graphics, sounds and feedbacks. The only little detail that bothered me is that it's a bit tricky on AZERTY, if I switch to QWERTY then the QTE part is confusing, but if I stay AZERTY then it's the diving phase that becomes confusing. I would have liked to be able to use the arrow keys for this reason.
This game is too fun, from the helicopter scene (!!!) to the mines in an Olympic diving field (!!!!!!) to the dolphins, just everything about this was perfect. I only wish there was a high score at the end so I can see how I ranked up versus other players, this is how much I loved this game. Great job!!
Perfect game, everything is good 10/10
Super fun and addictive. I had to have a lot of goes though I admit I'm not great at it. The graphics look great, especially considering that you seem to have placed some pretty tough colour restrictions on yourselves.
Wow! Just checked this for the first time today and was impressed on the amount of comments. Feels SUUUPER great that all of you liked the game :D and as always, thanks for the feedback!
Thanks everyone for the amazing feedback!
Oh my God! I have not experienced such pleasure from the game for a long time! I returned to my childhood, where there were similar games on the console, it's incredibly cool!
@yusovv Thanks! Means a lot to hear that :D
This reminds me of the olympic game I used to play on the PC when I was a kid... enjoyed this entry sooo much! It's fun and it's quite well balanced. Those mines gave me some hard time, but I really liked it! :)
@tanis Thanks man :D That's awesome
I scored a 31678. What is your high score, developer advantage and everything? Double that? Triple maybe?
This is a really cool game, I love the pixel graphics. Your color palette really reminds me of the good old days. Except that it is very pleasant to look at, very easy on the eyes, in contrast to some of the old gaming systems. Really great choice of colors.
The animations are very good, nice touch on the helicopter. Even though you only see it for a second, its rotors are still animated with that curved two-color effect, really cool, nice touch on the details. Overall everything is really made with love.
The music and sound effects fit the game really well. I am still listening to the music while writing this, it is the kind of music that you can listen to forever, really great for an infinite diver game :-D It has ups and downs, calm and exciting parts, nice composition!
I like the randomness in this game, it makes for a nice difficulty curve. It is fair but not too easy. Some rings are impossible to get without exploding, just like in real life. Really nice balance, starting slow and giving you more complicated patterns later on.
I love that you start on a helicopter, that is a very nice touch, you have these two well connected mini games in one, it really feels like they belong together. Sometimes you get into trouble trying to combine mechanics but here everything is really one piece, good work!
There are some minor technical inconsistencies. Sometimes after I die the meter level continues to drop. Then when I restart I still have the water particle effect that signifies you are swimming - but in the air while falling. These are non-issues really, they do not hinder the game play in any way.
Looks like I go at 250 meters per second. This really reminds me of our own game, our score is just the number of frames (at 60 Hz) that you survive :-) We made an infinite digging game where your health bar also has no significance other than that it must not go to zero or you die. Last, we also have things you eat and things you must avoid. But your game has a lot more details, you really got something out there in 72 hours, the graphics and music are awesome, the different game play elements, respect for what you managed to get done in that time frame!
Keep up the great work, I look forward to your future games!
We played it a bit more with some friends, it appears the speed at which you loose diving power is tied with the framerate. My friend playing on 140Hz had a much, much harder time than us at 60Hz. It seems that the web version is limited to 60fps, in any case it seemed consistant. Just letting you know so you can make a post jam fix :)
I loved this game! I loved how there were two elements to it and when underwater, the game mimics those endless iphone games that are super addicting, idk if this is what you were going for but you certainly achieved it. and the art is so cute too!
@gonutz thanks for all the cool feedback. It's so awesome to know you really paid attention. To be honest my developer advantage high score is only about 45000 (I don't really remember the exact number and didn't capture it, hehe). So I'm sure that if you kept trying, you would have beaten it!
@yorsh thanks! That went completely under the radar. So will be sure to fix it for future versions! @tessahardin thanks for the feedback :D Yes, if we continue to work in the game it would be for a phone version.
This was fun! I'm not sure I can contribute with any criticism that hasn't been voiced yet, but my only real issue was with the complete randomness sometimes making it impossible to get rings so I lost because there were several in a row that were stuck in the middle of mines 😅 It looks and sounds nice, just got jump scared by the loud helicopter at the start haha, the music of course is fantastic and the yays and boos from an invisible crowd are fun, getting Scribblenauts vibes! 💜
