This looks cool, will check this out after I sleeep. lol
Pretty simple game, and there's no real reason to fight the (extremely creepy!!) enemies, because running around them is pretty easy. I loved the atmosphere, though!
I can't seem to attack without getting hurt myself, but maybe I'm not trying hard enough. The sprite animation looks nice :)
Nice work, but the enemies are too slow, I just skipped all of them. There is no audio, you need to opt-out the audio category in the ludum dare project page. Overall good first LudumDare game :) keep it up!
Nice pixel art! I really love the animations, especially the attack of the monster!
The game is simple but well executed. I didn't encounter any level generation problem. It felt quite easy to find the green pickax, I think I got there in ~5-6 rooms.
I think you could have gone further, having to find a silver pickax, then starting a new level to find a gold pickax, and then find the green one. "Deeper and deeper" would have made more sense then.
Is it me or is there no audio? You probably want to opt-out from the category if there is none :wink:
Nice entry, good job!
@rolly "I think you could have gone further, having to find a silver pickax, then starting a new level to find a gold pickax, and then find the green one. “Deeper and deeper” would have made more sense then". It was the original idea but I had no time. Thank you!
Cool game, I liked the random layout! Some of the monsters were a bit too easy to just walk by, but when they did attack the combat felt very good!
@fargred thank you so much!
@axeltherabbit I wanted the doors to close when you enter the room but I had no time to implement it. Thank you!
@bassguitarbill I wanted the doors to close when you enter the room but I had no time to implement it. Thank you for the feedback!
good job. I don't know why but I really love the enemy art lol. are they giant ants? I imagined them as cows :D
The artwork is great. The combat is difficult which I like. I can see how it would be greatly improved by the things you wanted to implement but couldn't because of time. Closing doors when you enter a room would have made it much more stressful (in a good way) when choosing which way to go. This is a fun little game as is and could be the core to something more fun. Great job!
@cem-adiloglu they are spiders XD
Thank you so much @breadstix !
The visuals are nice. It'd be cool if you could improve the spider AI a bit. I also like that the caves are randomly generated. Well done! :D
Thank you @ziggykac !
@hilkojj it’s possible. To be honest, their hitbox is very small. Head can’t hurt you with touch, only with attack.
Nicely done! It's short, but I I'd love to see an expanded version of this with more enemies. Maybe the pickaxes you find give you different combat moves?
Well done!
@jacic Thank you for yor feedback and for your awesome idea about different combat moves!
Cool game! I really liked the sprites and animations! I'd recommend adding a better vertical attack - I felt pretty powerless to things above or below me, without taking some evasive maneuvers to get next to them instead. Good job!
I liked the maze generation and the graphics. Maybe add different enemies and sound, also you could add them a small shake prior attacking so I can get more telegraph attacks. Try adding a way to parry, it can be with your own attack. Nice entry!
Thanks @fueelin for your feedback!
@binaryprinciple Thank you for your ideas)
