The level of polish and amount of content here really is impressive. I love your pixel art, and the gameplay felt really chunky and solid. The only thing I'd change is probably tweaking the weapon a bit – it's a bit sluggish and the recoil is absolutely uncontrolable. I end up putting myself in a corner to keep control, which is kind of a degenerate strategy.
Encountered some technical issues – upon dying and restarting, the music disappeared, and there were a couple of times I ended up on the wrong side of a locked door. One of those times I ended up outside a boss room (I cheesed it by shooting the off-screen boss, of course, hah).
The amount and quality of enemy and boss designs, and the level design are really crazy (you've even got hidden shortcuts – how cool is that!). Crazy good work for 48 hours.
@pdotjpg Thank u very much for the great comment, find it really cool that u found the hidden paths, yea the gun recoil is "a bit" to much but im glad u enjoyed it overall :)

Great job! This is one of the more polished games I've seen so far! The shooting and combat is really satisfying! And the art is really good with the blood!

Loved it. Was able to trigger the final boss a room early which was pretty funny.

Great, expressive visuals. Solid gameplay. Gun knockback is maybe a little much. There were some pickups in one of the secret rooms I was able to get through a wall.

Very cool stuff. I think the animations for every enemy and the player are really good in this short amount of time. No idea how so much art was created so quickly. Great stuff!
Fun game - the UX was on point with the audio, the knockback, the blood splatters.
this game is really cool! its a littly unpolished i feel like while having the recoil effect the player is really cool i feel like its in this weird spot where its constantly making the movement feel off i think the game should ether lean into the recoil and make it an essential part of the game or reduce/remove it

Really well polished game, espeacially for a compo. really nice mechanics but still proved hard for me haha, well done!
The amount of polish in this is INSANE! The knockback from the gun makes you really have to plan your shots or where you're standing, otherwise you'll fall off the platform or get knocked through the floor. The blood splatter fits nicely with the aesthetic, and you have BOSS FIGHTS with more than 1 attack? Like, I'm amazed to say the least! The music fits the atmosphere as well!
So on first play through I died before getting to what I assume is the final boss. Wanted to stop and write this review, but I'm sure I'll be playing this entry a bit more to see if I can actually beat it lol

An incredible amount of content for a compo game, and very fun to play. It did feel a little rough around the edges at times; for example, the first time I played I accidentally fell through the second room without picking up the gun, so I had to restart. The player motion would have benefited from 'coyote-time' as I did struggle to jump at the end of platforms a couple of times. These are just minor details though, overall a great game!

Hey, pretty good game, nice graphic, good music. Just few things that bothered me - When I shoot I jump, was prety annoying - to go back to beginning, and after go back for the boss - maybe too put a chechoint at least for the boss

Nice work, especially for the compo! I love the boss fight with the laser-crab lookin' dude. I'm terrible at games and died at some point, but I enjoyed the heck out of what I got to play. Nice work! The graphics are great (though I kept confusing the diamond shaped enemies as a powerup, ha!) and the sound effects were nice too!
