I find the controls and gameflow very nice! Sound is also really good. Only thing I found lacking a bit was the graphics, but for the rest I really enjoyed it!

Impression when opening the game up to the main menu: "oh no" Impression when you start playing: "oh yes" Overall a very very good game! Love the amount of mechanics you were able to implement in the short period of time (the seaweed slowing you down, upgrades, different enemies, powerups)! Only thing I have to say is obviously the menu would need a bit of work, and a sweet 'watery' background would have been a cherry on top! But again, very very good game!
Fun game! Interesting gameplay and enemies, and lots of complexity with the powerups. The difficulty ramped up really fast, but that's fine for this kind of thing.
I liked the amount of upgrades available, the difficulty, and that seaweed. A little cleanup on the graphics and UI side would have been nice, but the game at its core is solid. Great work and congrats for completing your first game jam.
Idea was great, your game is very very nice to play, power ups and possibility to upgrade boat is awsome. You did a very good job with this game and all the mechanics. I like slow down :P
Simplistic and solid design. Love the fire rate boost. Sea weeds are a smart addition too. Narwhals will take over the world.
As everyone said, the game is very good and work well, but the graphics are pretty bad, and I found the sounds effect a little bit annoying. But appart from that, congratulation for your game!
The difficulty progression is great! The text is super blurry when not in full-screen mode for me (looks like some kinda mipmap bias issue?).
I like the variety of enemies and the progressive increase in difficulty.
Not the best graphics and the text is blurry, but the gameplay is entertaining and fun.
Good job.
Nice entry! And nice game name! :P
Good job on finishing your first jam! Simple and to the point, and you still managed to get an upgrade system in place.
Very nice work! Had a good time playing but I felt a bit bad killing narwhals XD
It's a simple downwards shooter game of collecting O2 and defeating various enemies. It's quite fun and the implementation of an upgrade system is great! There are lots of obstacles that keep gameplay interesting.
Movement feels a bit slow, and shooting feels very static. Shooting should be faster, or at the least have some spread. The text and UI are very blurry and hard to read. Overall, pretty good game that could be improved upon.
Overall, a good game. Both of the mechanics you introduced are fantastic, as is the game's progressive difficulty. I can't say the same for the art unfortunately, and the user interface could be better.
A simple, clean and solid entry! Love it overall! :D
First and foremost, congratulations on completing your first game jam. The game is fun and I like the idea. As others have mentionned the graphics aren't the best and the text is blurry. But the gameplay is enjoyable and I had fun discovering the different upgrades. Great work.
I spent more times on this game than I'd like to admit. I really loved the upgrades. Gave killing the enemies a purpose and it felt like I had a great progression. The difficulty curve was good as well.
The only thing I personally didn't like, was the lives system. I died a good few times and going back from your upgraded ship in great bullet hell levels to the first ship and rather peaceful levels was a bit frustrating. I never managed to unlock the last ship.
I think the issue regarding the graphics is that they aren't very consistent. The non-outlined main game assets and the outlined hearts for the lives feel like they come from two completely separate games. It's a good job for a jam, and definitely better than what I could ever draw in 72 hours. :joy: But that aside, I think the premise of the game was generally straightforward and I like the idea of the air bar also being affected by hits from enemies and their attacks. The levelling up system was neat and it's great giving the players the option of sacrificing upgrades for a higher score. I don't really get why the individual ships have their own internal levelling system when it seems as though the only thing they upgrade is just the same stats across the board. If they have special unique abilities, that could give each ship more distinction.
The audio work is well done. The sound effects are super satisfying, particularly the one where you collect the oxygen canisters. Music is atmospheric and suits a game of this premise.
Good job for your first attempt at a game a jam. I think you've done a really good job. One think you might want to focus on next time is things like UI polish, the really basic looking titles and menu make the game look really basic and probably puts people off, but you've actually managed pretty solid gameplay for those who aren't put off.
I always love games with upgrades and scaling difficulty! Good job :D
Great shooter! Altogether well balanced. It's challenging but it kept me coming back for more. The game becomes more fun as you get bigger guns. Some of the graphics look good, like the water plants and the dolphins, so I bet you can make the other graphics also look good with some work.
This is a fun game, though a bit on the difficult side. Maybe it's just me. Audio is well chosen. Overall, game-play is excellent. Nice work.
Fun little game. The biggest criticism I have is the text was hard to read, seemed like some kind of bilinear filtering thing. Aside from that, I found the difficulty to be a little spikey. I'd be cruising down the level and then BAM, bullet hell. The little shakey things that shot two projectiles were bit in that, shooting a ton of stuff directly at me. It was still fun, just maybe a little out of pace with the player's power.
