Funny concept! The map is very big. Controls were a big hard but I'm not used to this type of games. I liked that you could go under the trees.

It took me some time to figure out I had to press enter to start the game instead of just clicking on it. This sort of game is difficult for me, but I couldn't really figure out how to use the vacuum on the monsters, it didn't seem to do anything. I like that you can switch between weapons, it makes the game more dynamic and you can use different strategies to defeat the monsters!

@lakshyaisagod arrow keys are to move. And I will make it so if play is on, you can click any where (or a click here button) @iorena did you try the defensive mode, if you right click, you can dash. @last-angle I might have to set up a tutorial mode.

Hi, took a bit of time finding out how to start the game. I like the concept, the character feels a bit too small compared to the world. I like the trees fading as you move under them but it's a bit confusing at first. I thought it's a blocked off area.

I like the mouse control for aiming.

I was confused at first what I was supposed to do, but after a minute I figured it out and things came together. I did encounter a bug where the trees stopped becoming transparent which made it impossible to deal with the enemies.

I like the idea of the game. Keep working at it!

@chensu Thank you, what bug did you find? @minibobbo I have to add a prompt. I'm thinking of adding an animation to set up when enemies are catchable. Sorry about that tree bug, lol, I'll fix that.

Really nice idea - liked the distinctive art style and nice pacing. I had a few issues with dropping frame rate, and found that the music, while nice, didn't really fit the theme.

Cool Concept! it is pretty ambitious and I think it could have been more coherent if you just focused on 1 aspect or 1 mechanic. I love that you tried something special though! instead of just making something safe.

@Goldone I will be trying to make it look better, I was on a school chromebook, so I was very limited, but that allowed me to focus more on the coding. @nodice Definitely felt the music didn't fit lol, it was like a last minute add. @cresceda thank you, i was so unsatisfied I added the option to turn off the music. @eugenik I was going to try to make it fit, but maybe I should embrace the style more?

nice game, I especially liked the smooth camera (little zooms are cool and feel good), the music and the controls (the controls are not too rigid, good game feel) maybe the art style is a bit too mixed up (it looks like pixel art, cartoonish, hand drawn mix together sometimes), but overall a cool entry! congrats on your game, especially the game feel (something most LD games don't really polish, usually by lack of time) :)

Really nice game with a lot cool bugs, which makes it more interesting actually:) I like the base line in the music, very cool. I played it actually a lot to discover all the enemies. I had a lot of fun playing it! Nice work!

@dotsquare Thanks, I spent a lot of time on the controls, and I'm trying to polish the graphics and make it more consistent. @filgru yeah, I want to fix the bugs and balance out the element absorb power ups, but I don't know what to focus on really now besides the graphics. @jk5000 thanks, that's hard to do with so many surreal entry this year.

I have no idea what it is you're actually supposed to do in this game. Beyond the controls, nothing is explained. I don't know when you're supposed to attack enemies or when you're supposed to use the vacuum on them, I don't know what the "souls" I'm supposed to collect are or how you collect them, I don't know what the different styles do or when I'm supposed to use them, I don't know what XP is for or why I'm gaining it just from running around... nothing in this game feels intuitive to me at all.

I'm sure this is a deep and engaging experience once everything clicks, but right now *nothing* is clicking, and instead it's just confusing and unsatisfying. This is crying out for a tutorial level to ease you into the mechanics and help you get a feel for how the game is meant to be played, rather than just dumping you into the middle of a forest and leaving you to it.

@F1Krazy Great Insight, Thank you. Since it takes the longest time, I never got around to doing it, but will add that to the game. I've been avoiding it, because I have to develop separate code for a tutorial. I will try to address what you found confusing in your playthrough and hope you come and play it again.

A surreal experience. I had a lot of trouble learning the controls — it took me some time to figure out what to do, and even then, I couldn't make much progress, vacuum-wise. The music is top-notch. I love the title art for this game.

I love different combat styles. There are not so many games with different types of weapon. It is good! But it is difficult to figurate what to do in game. I restarted game several times just to be able to read the text. I have catch some souls via vacuum cleaner sometimes. But didn't understand when and why they are "shakes" :-)

Congratulations on your game, I like to see the projects of other users of the construct, I believe that you ended up wanting to implement a lot of mechanics and this brought you an unnecessary job, as consequently it generates more bugs to fix, my character did not die and my hp was 35 / 15, did not know what to do because it was the function of accelerating and the other to attack, none seemed to do anything relevant, when attacking enemies the word TEXT appeared, reaching a point in the game that did not know what to do, besides killing the enemies, I hope you continue with this project and solve the bugs because it seemed to be a cool game, I hope to meet you in the future and see the evolution of your projects, a big hug.

@alprog thanks, yeah, I think I might try to release this game on steam. Make a new build after this, improve the art style, and create a better tutorial set up. Sorry to hear about that restarting to be able to read text. @sonmi I hope you were able to capture pepega. @etrealjunior yeah, I'm going to check out your game right now. I had the damage prompt set as a function, and it just wasn't generating the proper text, it will only do it , while the vacuum sprite is overlapping the enemy. Will fix.

Best Audio Ever. Also, the camera zoom in/out was well done. Really enjoyed the energy and awe this brought out.
