I liked the visuals, very stark the red on green.

I think some of the narrative weight was disrupted by the fact that I kept falling off. Like over and over

Oh hello, my deepest darkest fears, glad I get to contend with you once again!

I love it when entries get personal like this. The themes and narrative presented here are very well done, and do an excellent job of representing the slow mental deterioration of a character.

Honestly, I think the only thing holding this game back right now is its slightly simplistic gameplay. Walk to a place and hit a button to progress the story is well and good, but I can see so much more opportunity for mechanical and visual storytelling here that could really make the player feel what the character is feeling. Lost, confused, doubtful of what they're seeing or remembering, etc.

I certainly don't fault the game as it stands for this, though. You absolutely pulled this off the best way you could've given the time constraints of the jam. I guess all I'm saying is that I'd love for this concept to be expanded on. :) Very nicely done!!

I love the games atmosphere, and voice acting is really good. For me the game felt too slow. and I had a hard time following the story. But okay overall it's a pretty well made jam game.

Not really a game, but the visuals are nice and atmospheric. There is defnitly some more game mechanic nesessary. I really would like to know if it is possible to finish it. I endest up on this long (endless?) path. After a while I decided to turn around to see if there is something behind me. After turning the screen just went blue and I couldnt find the way anymore.

Nice to see something totally different! The voice acting really adds to the atmosphere. I fell off the platform many times, it being the same colour as the background really threw me. Could do with slightly better pacing and a bit more variety of mechanics, but really original work!

Wonderful game! The audio is especially well done, and the clarity of the tables with the gramophones in the otherwise abstract place is very striking

Visuals are really nice, the controls are a little floaty and I ended up locking my progress by jumping off and respawning to a point where I just fell again. but other than that it was a very enjoyable game.

Wow. Oh my god, wow. I can't remember the last time a game jam project of all things managed to evoke a significant emotional response in me, I'm genuinely blown away. In the first few minutes I found myself thinking "The distance between the narrative is far too long", only to then realise EXACTLY what you were doing. Using gameplay mechanics to train the player for the final narrative element was an absolutely PHENOMENAL idea and I'm so so happy I found this. The final stretch of the game was a chilling realisation for me, and it recontextualised the entire project.

This may actually be the greatest Ludum Dare project I have ever experience, and if it doesn't get top marks for mood then I'll be extremely shocked. Amazing job, consider me to be giving you the text equivalent of a standing ovation right now!

I liked the graphical solution. But I didn't like the general mood of the game)

silurus 2021-04-27 16:32

Thank you for this experience, unfortunately I don't speak English very well, but the melancholy was there!

I liked the simplistic but efficient graphics. The music is the voice of the granny were top!

At first, I wasn't sure if the architecture of the game would send me in a loop, but then I realised how well crafted the game world was for it to have such an intuitive path structure even when everything looks the same. The art style is simple, but not simplistic. The short LOD really enhances the feeling of living in the moment, the past and future dissolving away. Great use of audio static to guide navigation.

Very melancholic and deep story. The atmosphere is great. Visuals and music are adding so much to it. Voice acting is amazing. Controls are a bit fluid and I had to fall off a few times until I got used to it. But I enjoyed it.

Wow, this game has quite the atmosphere - very melancholic. For my taste sometimes a little too far between the story points, but this only underlined the sad atmosphere. Good job!

mykola 2021-04-28 21:15

Amazing mood, the game is very well-built to convey the idea. Very good take on the theme. Really challenging but you managed to implement it very well. The voice acting is awesome. Great job!

at about the third gramophone i was pretty sure i had a good idea of the direction that the game was heading, and i couldnt bring myself to keep playing. so...it was well-written i guess

simpathey 2021-05-01 03:48

I loved the original writing. Maybe the only feedback is to time the segments more with the audio so you dont get dead space.

etrealjunior 2021-05-02 17:19

Congratulations on your game, it has a good theme generates a session of solitude, I suggest having other actions or shorter intervals, a big hug, if you can give your feedback regarding my game I will be grateful.
