Very surreal and mysterious! I loved the intro page; it set the mood for the game nicely. I wandered around the maze for a few minutes, but I wasn't able to find her eyes.
The walking speed felt a bit too fast for me; I had trouble controlling it.
@mikesalyh thank you for the feedback. I relayed the compliment about the introduction to Dr. Chung — she is the one who drew the comic strip, as well as the rest of the art.
As for the eyes, they are part of a picture, which you have to find and click on (see screen shot above). There are two pictures like this; finding and clicking on both will complete the game.
It's very original to have a comics at the beginning, I liked this particular touch. The overall mood is good and very engaging. Good job!
I really enjoyed this hand drawn art style. I know controlling a 3D game in a web browser can be tricky sometimes, so that was done well. And the music was great too.
I still really didn't get what to do in the game though. Looking at other comments, it appears to be a point and click game, but I didn't understand that.

Love the comic intro, really nice change from the usual. And sweet rippin' guitar!
I liked the comic and the mood, I loved the music! I had a lot of trouble with the controls and finding my way through the maze. The speed of walking felt to fast and I kept passing where I wanted to be.
@johnsensei the goal is to find two pictures (one in each maze) and click on them — this will complete the game. FYI there are clues about the mazes in the final panel of the comic strip.
@meatball @sophiemae0 thank you for the feedback. I will pass on your comments about the art to Dr. Chung, the lead artist for the game. As for the walking speed, that appears to be a common complaint. Next time I'll find a way to reduce the speed.
Great idea to have put a mini comic as an introduction to the game ! Maybe it would have been cool to put it directly on the game as an intro ? I liked the game, and the way the giant face is pictured on the sky. The texture of the walls kinda made me a bit dizzy though, I believe it’s due to the vertical lines maybe ? But overall it was cool, congrats !
Oh and the art style is cool ! Il like the hand drawn face, it works well !
I dig the music and the comic touch. Felt very surreal to play, can't explain it exactly. The story seemed both sweet but definitely creepy. I found my wrist a tad swore after beating it from clicking to drag the mouse though. Sitll. Overally: I like it!
I like the maze idea, and the overall feelings. Like Alice in the Wonerland spin-off ) The controls could be a little less sharp, though
@dotsquare I like your idea of putting the comic strip in the game itself — maybe next time. As for wall textures, that is something I haven't mastered yet. It's very difficult with Babylon.js. The texture I chose was one of the few I could get to work. Sorry about the dizziness — you're not the only one.
@lazyalarm "sweet but creepy" — this is a good way to sum up the comic strip, and the game in general. An effect I was aiming for. Glad you liked the game.
@saurterrs you are right about Alice in Wonderland: the main character is named after her. Her twin sister's name, **Celia**, is an anagram of **Alice**.
this game has a kind of mood that i think i have never seen in ludum dare (i mean it in a good way!) good job!
@chispalbc thank you, that is what I was aiming for. Glad you liked the game.
Wow, that was surreal! Genuinely creepy at times too. Great job on the music and art! Lovely game.
@100th-coin thank you for the kind words. I have to admit, it is creepy. I don't even know what it means — which is strange, because I wrote the story. In any case, I'm glad you liked it.
Good mood! Comic before game was a nice, unusual touch. Seems pretty solid in most ways, good music, good art, plays fine, just thought movement was a bit fast. 😅 Some right-handed people would probably have liked WASD/ZQSD in addition to arrow keys but I thought it was kinda fun to switch hands for once. Was there anything hidden at the end of the game? I flew around for a bit but missed it if so.
@ava-skoog thank you for the comments. You are right about WASD/ZQSD, it's just that I never figured out a way to do that in Babylon.js, and I ran out of time. Good point about the camera speed as well. As for the ending, there isn't really anything hidden. It's mainly just the ability to fly. On the grid is Celia's face — that is the only new element, along with the victory message.
I'm glad you enjoyed the game.
Nice comic and great music. The world seemed rather empty and bland with only 2 textures.
@flying-dog-fish good point. I struggled to learn textures in Babylon.js during the jam, but ran out of time...
Loved the feeling, it has it's own mood and like it has been said feels surreal. Lovely work
Very strange game. I loved the music!
I had a good time and enjoyed the chill vibes. Great hand-drawn art. :-) Very original use of an out-of-game intro. Rock on!
