This was great fun. For a 2d game it almost gave me motion sickness! :D
Ah my eyes are so overstimulated but I love this game :) I managed to get to 132 seconds. I love the simplicity and the modifiers are a great touch. Good work!
Really nice game! Loved the kinda futuristic graphics. It could use a little more feedback when hit and a clearer hitbox on the orbs, but overall really fun to play! Great job!
Had fun with this one. At first I found the conveyors to be nothing but an odd distraction. But over time, however, I really had to start adjusting my movements to account for them. This game is pretty action packed and kept me on my toes. You had some of the best music that I have seen this LD so far, kudos on that. Great work!
I love it. The game is simple but fun, and the graphics and audio are brilliant. It does slightly give me motionsickness, and the spinning into split-screen conveyor belts is mad.
Fun! The randomized modifiers work really well to give a nice pacing and difficulty curve. *Love* the music!
It would be cool to replace the belts with a curl noise field and see how that plays out.
Thank you to everyone for the useful feedback!
I agree that it should be more obvious when the player is hit, I'll add a sound when I develop it further, somehow that never occurred to me during the jam. I might also make the screen flash as well but there's already a lot going on visually so I'd want to be careful with adding more visual cues.
I'm not sure how to make the hitboxes more obvious while keeping the glowing look of the orbs, I've been a little lenient with them for that reason so hopefully there should be more cases where you thought you should have lost a life but didn't than cases where you thought you shouldn't have lost a life but did.
The motion sickness seems to affect some people more than others. I think adding a decreased motion option where the conveyors don't move forwards and only point in the direction they are pushing would be a good idea, I'll have to get some other people to test that if I implement it since it doesn't affect me personally.
A curl noise field would be interesting! I haven't seen that before. Sadly it wouldn't work with the way I'm doing the conveyors at the moment. It could be an interesting opportunity to learn some new things further down the road, but I doubt I'll get the time to look at that any time soon.
A few people have mentioned that they really like the music and I would like to clarify that I did not make the music in this game - The song is Straw Fields by Rolemusic which is licenced under a Creative Commons BY license and is available here: https://www.freemusicarchive.org/music/Rolemusic/Straw_Fields/03_rolemusic_-_straw_fields. I'm glad I picked a good song though :). I put credits in the bottom right corner of the menu screen, but maybe I should make it a bit more obvious with how much the music adds to the game.
I like the floor mechanic and how it influenced your movements. Nice use of Godot. Nice entry.
Cool game, very addictive indeed. The pulsing neon look and the music went together very well (so, you selected a good tune there), and there is a lot going on onscreen. Collision should nevertheless have more felt "impact" - with some visual hint or shake, and some noise too. Very nice entry!
Very fun little game, hard to stop playing! I think there's a lot of potential. It would be nice if you teamed up with someone who composes music, so the game would really have its own identity.
Nice simple arcade-style mechanics. Good music and sound. Graphics are quite polished for a game jam. Well done!
Nice pick up and play game, like how the difficultly scales.
Awesome work! Got 102 as my best score I think! I liked how the random difficulty modifier stacked at the bottom :)
That remember me the mood of a nightclub :)
