I like the idea a lot! You can create a story and display pieces of that story when a player collects a memory. I think the movement needs a bit of polish and you might need to increase the collider size of the sword. Well done!

You should definetely add some acceleration curve to the movement, especially since you're supposed to handle the sword with just your movement and rotation. Graphics are nice and simple.

Combat was a little janky but I eventually got the hang out it. I enjoyed the graphics simple but definitely works well for the feel of the game.
@alphabetasoup @nogam @vidim888 @shay-cichocki . Thanks a lot for your comments! We notice that the movement felt a little strange, we will take it into account.
Maybe I was missing something but I couldn't find a memory. I killed dozens of those little purple headed enemies. Am I just dumb? Eh, probably. This music and lighting added a great atmosphere and mood to this game. The UI design looked pretty nice, too. The movement was smooth and responsive. Overall a cool game! Well done.
Very good graphics. Controls are responsive. The music give creepy feeling but its annoying to repeat every time i restart the game. Some lights here and there will give more interest for the player. Lack of combat animations make it boring to kill. Overall nice game maybe with more time will be great one. Good Job!

It took time for me to understand the controls but it's an original combat system. Even though I feel like it can be cheesed by just spinning endlessly. The theme of keeping memories is nice (quite similar to our approach in fact ^^) but sadly it seems like the link with the gameplay is quite arbitrary. I couldn't manage to collect all memories so maybe there is more to it than I missed...
- @human-writes-code Thanks for your kind words! Memories are found all over the map, you don't need to kill enemies. - @timetravelhamster Thank you for the feedback, we will take it into account! - @adinimys We wanted the game to be tricky and hard to find all the memories, so cool!
Nice combat system, reminded me of a simplified version of Die By The Sword. Very moody graphics, combined nicely with the theme. Couldn't find a single memory either, so I'm pretty sure I missed something. Will give it another try.
I have trouble with the combat system, it's hard to get the right distance. Also you run faster in diagonal. But I still finished the game and had fun ! Graphics where cools that's a great work for a jam, good job !

The combat system felt a bit off. You could make so the enemy are slowed down or got a small knockback when hit by the sword.

The graphics of this game are what drew me in. I really liked the low poly 3D, especially the trees since they were pretty well done. I ended up just running away from the enemies and kiting them around since killing them without taking hits was kind of difficult. It was nice that I could pick up extra shields though. The music accompanied the visuals well and created a nice mood. I might have liked it if when you collected a memory it gave you a bit of story so that I would know what types of memories they are. Overall this was a nice entry.

i like the low poly environment on your game a lot. but the combat system is kinda weird. additionally it is easier to kite the enemies instead of "hitting" them. there should be a attack action or something instead of simply let the enemies run into the sword

It is... interesting. I think it has a good idea at its core but there are a couple of things that did not sit well with me. The movement is too fast for the animation of the character. I also found it quite odd that there was no slashing mechanic, just stick them with the pointy end and tap the movement buttons a bit. Which brings to another point: the character just moves too fast for the enemies. In the end, I didn't even have to use my sword since I could easily outmaneuver the enemy (so why bring a sword anyway?). I think if there was a better way to make the character reliant on the sword, it could bring it all together (and also more *memories* to the memories haha). It was also surprising to see that the memories spawn one by one instead of being in set locations at the start. The models and music were okay, though. Good job and well done.
FYI, like many others, your Mac download is corrupted and won't open. I've been following this issue and managed to fix it on my end, but a lot of users won't know how to or just won't take the time.
The game has a very interesting idea at it's core. Music together with the visuals create an atmosphere that is very eerie and suspenseful. I was never able to collect all of the memories, its a really hard game, but I did enjoy trying to. Those enemies show no mercy haha
Well done!
This might be the first game where I can moonwalk to use my weapon effectively and that's pretty neat :P On the topic of Michael Jackson, I found the atmosphere to be kinda creepy, but liked the music!
Solid entry. Hope to see you next ludum dare!
The fighting mecahnic was pretty unique and I really like the lighting of the game! I feel the enemies could be a little slower as they always seem to swarm over me before I could kill one of them, however, that could be just me since I'm not the exactly the best at fighting games :").
Overall, solid entry and I feel that it has a lot of potential! Great work!

Really nice idea, i really liked the sword mechanic ! Maybe you should update the game and do some animations for attacks or something like that ? I think you could create a nice complete game ! :)
