I really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere that the music and environment created.

actyl 2020-04-21 04:40

There's something very compelling about the way the rock moves.

immortalitybh 2020-04-21 04:55

Amazing game definitely my favorite. I must have spent twenty minutes playing with it in the playground. I realized that you could pick different ones if you wanted to which was pretty cool. I love the physics things in the playground though. The swing was the coolest.

ion-programming 2020-04-21 07:48

Thanks for all the kind comments everyone!

robertino 2020-04-21 10:40

I like visual style!

frenzyasii 2020-04-21 10:47

It's plays out nicely, very nice visuals and music :)

dvd 2020-04-21 10:55

This game is so cool, the movement is epic and everything works. I love the rocks.

rodi 2020-04-21 11:07

I love it !!!

mrstari 2020-04-21 11:15

This is a really cool ambients game :). The following rock is really cute and the Movement are great. The only thing that annoys me a little bit is the walking A or D and walking W the objects beginning to vibrates.

mirsakka 2020-04-21 11:24

Oh this was so lovely! Perfect for this isolation time.

ion-programming 2020-04-21 11:34

Thank you everyone for the feedback! We're loving getting to play all your games

preda 2020-04-21 13:24

My pet rock was really hungry...

monetai 2020-04-21 13:30

Soo cute!! My rock didn't wanted to go to sleep =p I searched for a long time but I couldn't find food thought...

yoan-allibert 2020-04-21 14:17

Such a good concept, the movement of the rock is clever and funny ! Got stuck at the food though, felt like I tried everything. Brilliant ideas, well done !

anagf 2020-04-21 16:01

That was such a relaxing game, I liked it. And that rock was really cute, the way it moved was funny. Well done!

thatsolodev 2020-04-21 20:14

The game rocked! (HAH), seriously though, I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the graphics, but the rock was very slow, and the searching took a lot of time as well. Got fairly repetitive. Cute rock though, 10/10 would rock again

ion-programming 2020-04-22 02:37

Thanks everyone! You're so kind. Just a little hint regarding food, check the BBQs under the shelters. We planned to add more items around the place but ran out of time.

ncadieux 2020-04-22 06:03

I was so confused by the thuds of the rock until I realized my rock was actually alive and was so happy haha. Love the ambiance. The player movement felt a little jitter, especially when moving past objects in the scene. Besides that it was great.

thegamegoyal 2020-04-22 06:57

This was such an awesome game

lootgrounds 2020-04-22 06:57

Good overall style. Add a little dynamism and it will be very cool!

saltfactory-studio 2020-04-22 07:04

The aesthetics of the game are really nice. The music as well really complements the peaceful and chill atmosphere of the entire scene. I especially liked being able to interact with objects to see how they would react to real-life physics. Well done on a good game.

tsombi100 2020-04-22 07:04

Nice work. My rock got somehow stuck and I couldn't progress. But it was fun anyway. Felt little bit like a walking simulator

jacksgamessucks 2020-04-22 07:10

Your game is great. My kids love it. I wish in-game walk / run is quite faster but maybe thanks to this you feel more in to the game. great job!

ladislavodstrcil 2020-04-22 07:14

very nice peaceful game... love the low poly trees... i was not expecting to catch the duck :D... overall very good feel of this game

alexandroskap 2020-04-22 07:17

Nice but was a bit hard to find what I had to find. Thanks for the unique experience

l3glon 2020-04-22 07:20

My rock accidentally jumped into a trash can and didn't want to go out, kek. Anyway, it was relaxing and pleasant experience. Nice job!

cancerous 2020-04-22 07:22

I now know how to look after a pet rock thanks. Movement felt a bit weird at times but it was still a good experience.

krakadushka 2020-04-22 07:51

I liked the game. Cool level design, sounds, stress-free story and special atmosphere. Great concept! P.S. How did you implement such a cool camera? This Is A Slerp?

palvel 2020-04-22 13:09

A nice game, but unintuitive puzzles

galinhomassa 2020-04-22 16:20

The rock makes me go YES

marcelo-zoletti 2020-04-22 22:02

This was one of the funniest and greatest games I ever played in this jam! It quite surprized me when the rock started moving, the graphics looks nice, the music is calm and it fits in the game, it is really fun to simply mess around with it, and the game show a lot how creativity can be used! Amazing Job!

ion-programming 2020-04-23 01:32

Thank you all! @krakadushka Yes, the camera rotation uses slerp. Its actually just a slightly modified version of something from the Unity Standard Assets.

zaiuspanda 2020-04-23 18:44

I played on a laptop with trackpad so turning arround was not that easy, so when I hear the stomping sound the first time I had a panick attack! But when I realized it was my new friend all along I get so happy. The concept is so cute and art is perfect for the game, but I would have liked to draw their face by my own.

Anyway, I get this could be a bit tricky for a game jam.

ion-programming 2020-04-24 01:37

@zaiuspanda We really wanted to let you draw the face, but unfortunately that took low priority...

fatpenguin 2020-04-24 11:30

Ohhh what a ride! I'm so glad I found this little gem. At first I was like "aww, a walking simulator, cute. How peaceful. What a nice mood." And then I realized the quests at the bottom and got excited. Such a unique and cute idea! The pet was so cute haha. The music is perfect! Did you do it yourself? The humor was sweet and kind of Undertale-ish, I loved it. I played it a good 20 minutes. I can actually see this being a great finished game that gives you awesome vibes while playing it if you polish it and come up with a story and more gameplay (like puzzles etc) I hope you do! Now, on to the most important question: WHERE THE HELL IS THE OUTFIT :( I couldn't find it! Very good job, and for one person only, wow!

p.s.: I was especially proud for this: rockinbox.jps

Hey guys, pretty nice game for this little time. What bugged me was that in slower speed (until I realized that I can "sprint" with shift) the character couldn't overcome some stupidly small barriers like first step of steps or the plank around the playground, so I had to circle around to find basically a ramp spot, where I can actually go in. I also think that you could've done much better with smaller and more dense, cramped game space.

It's clear that you didn't have nearly enough assets to put in and that's definitely okay, it's just 72 hours, so just go with it. The sprint was too slow anyways and traversing the same patch of grass again and again gets frustrating even in decent atmosphere. So I think that your game wouldn't be worse but even better if all the stuff like bbq and fireplace was there only once and the space was much smaller overall and everything was closer together. Don't go with "my open world is much bigger than yours" insanity that flows these days :)

What is totally great design is that you put more than one "quest item" in the level, so player can reach his own and also there're higher chances that player reaches at least one of them :) That was very clever and it slightly reduced the uncomfortability of decreasingly enjoyable traversal.

So I had pretty good time with your game, but I think that the game could benefit more from realizing the scope and make the experience a little more compact and denser :) Still thanks for it, it was most pleasant and I definitely agree with all those guys above about the humor, atmosphere and the underlying idea being very soothing and enjoyable! :)

robowarrior1982 2020-04-25 16:44

Poetic, beautifull and really simple, perfect.

codey 2020-04-25 17:15

Wow, nice game! Really moody! That feeling, when I first heard and then saw how the rock follows me, awesome! I espacially like the art style and the music. I played it for about 20 minutes! Good work!
