I will just copy and paste my comment from Itch.io. Really cool game, I would play it through if there were more levels and turrets.That's what I expect in the future version if it exists. I would love the turrets to have some progress bars showing their reloading progress. I would also play a mode were the enemies can destroy your turrets, or you can send your units to the enemies' base.

Nice game worked great on linux. The icons in the buttons could have been a little bit more clean. for most buttons it was not directly clear what they would do until you already have pressed them once

Love pangolins and love tower defence games, and this one was decently fun for me. That being said, there seem to be a few significant problems.

There doesn't seem to be a reason to buy anything other than the basic rocket turret until you get to the point that you have to place them so far back that they're not in range, since nothing else does enough damage to make up for its cost. Mines should do a lot more damage, since they're one time use. The high caliber turret fires so slowly that it only ends up being half as effective as the basic rocket while costing twice the price.

I think it would be better in level 2 if the first few waves alternated which side they were on. It may be a little annoying for someone who's new to tower defence to place everything on one side, only to find there was a second side, but since it's early in the level, this wouldn't be too frustrating, as they could quickly try again without losing much progress.

The sides seem to be uneven on level 2, which isn't too much of a problem, except that one side definitely ends up with a lot less turret space than the other. Uneven terrain mixes things up, but take care not to let this make one side weaker without making the parts of the waves that go to that side weaker as well.

Doing as much damage as I think was possible, it was still impossible to destroy the enemies on waves 25 and 26 of level 2. It would be very unfortunate for a player to have lost 2 eggs a lot earlier, and get to the end only to end up losing arbitrarily. Moreover, I think going from introducing that tanky of an enemy to having two of them show up (with the sides being uneven) is not really fun. It would've been more fun if one side got the tanky enemy, while the other side got just a huge hoarde of enemies.

Thank you for you message, we take note of everything you said.

@tatetate After many tries I did it, level 2 without damage ;-)

It's a well-made tower defence game, but it's a bit long-winded for an LD game. It's not the most innovative thing in the world, but I think you might have a commercial hit if you work on this some more.

The extensive comments above basically articulate my feelings. Good UI stuff. Nice job though :)

I hadn't played a TD in while so I thoroughly misplaced my towers on my first try haha. As mentioned, I think the longer comment gives a good and extensive on how I felt about certain aspects of the game. Still, I had fun with it! Good job on your submission!

fan of tower defence games so not surprised i found this fun, the ability to rush waves was a nice time saver and the music was great.

@youbestrong @bailey Thank you very much :)

Cool tower defence game. It's a fun game and I like the music. I think it would be a great idea if you could make the enemy types visual more differently. Overall great job.

@guntainment thank you very much

ommadawn 2020-04-23 13:26

Good turret defense, I liked the way you can put traps to save your life in extremis ^^

havok06 2020-04-23 13:42

The game is very well polished and plays perfectly. Very nice job on making a well functionning tower defense!

vivoubos 2020-04-23 18:59

Nice turret defense! I have finish lvl1, but the level 2 is hard x)

Nice music!

pixnpickstudio 2020-04-24 16:16

Very nice entry! Pros: General ambiance, Audio, this is the first tower defense I know how to play(very good in UX), Cons, come graphics (I think more in first menu) looks more like placeholder. I had a good time. Thank you!

samueldeboni 2020-04-26 00:08

Very good entry in general, good graphics and music, and the game is very well polished.

fullmetal-automaton 2020-04-26 00:13

Very nice! I always love tower defense games, and this is an impressive entry.

robowarrior1982 2020-04-28 16:35

Nice tower defense.Maybe a bit slow to unlock the new units for a gamejam game, but realisation is good and it works well. Good job !

marbles 2020-04-29 09:21

very clean looking graphics

terry 2020-05-01 07:53

Yay, a tower defence game! :smile:

This is really well done for a jam timescale. I can see from the UI that there were plans for more towers and probably more levels, but it feels pretty complete as is.

ironpower 2020-05-01 11:42

@terry Thank you very much

Nice, tower defense game! Love that!

I had a lot fun fun playing it, even though I did not realize that you could upgrade towers until the end :D

Art looks great, music add this militaristic vibe.

Great entry! Cheers!
