Great work for three hours. Just wish the game got more difficult with time, it seems after planting some grain it is never an issue.
The hand-drawn graphics are very charming and the fact the chicken changes sizes depending on how close it is to the camera is a really nice touch.
I love this neat little game! It reminds me of the paper board games i used to create as a kid, with more capitalism. Great work for only three short hours :D

With all the grain, I think I have made some foie gras :)
Short and sweet, a breath of fresh air for those of us playing dozens of LD games. After one failed attempt i managed to become a seed entrepreneur capping out at 33 seeds per growth. Obviously it could be improved by adding more content, like buying another chicken or something but still a very good submission nonetheless.
Edit: Saw it was made in 3 hours, with that in mind it has a lot of content haha
I really like the art of the game, the use of blur highlights the important elements for the gameplay. The game would have deserved a little more polish but we know all the constraints of the compos...
I can't believe this was made in 3 hours! Really cool idea and game. The initial experience of not knowing just how much grain to give to the chicken or plant for seeds was really fun. The art and animations are really cool and feel unique.
A good result for three hours. It could of course use more content.

l'effet de profondeur et l'animation de la poule sont trop cool, et Bravo pour ta demarche, parfois faut juste ce lancer et simple ne veut pas dire nul, certain chose peuvent etre affiné, mais l'aspect générale et le fun sont present et tres cool. peut etre balanced d'avantage, le besoin de plante/gain/besoin de la poule ? je ne sais pas . en tout cas bravo a toi !

@lajazuve : merci ! Et oui, faut juste se lancer ! Mais oui, je voulais au moins ajouter le fait que la poule ponde des oeufs (j'ai l'asset d'oeufs) mais en 3h, c'est surtout du "je met ce que j'peux" xD En tout cas merci de ton commentaire !

@axefall : yes, if I had a little more time, I would have add the feature so the chicken just make egg who became another chicken. (but time is sparce and so do the motivation sometime ;_;)

I hope next time will be better !

I'm really impressed of what you've managed to do in only 3 hours! The gameplay is fun enough, and... I love dat chicken xD It just lacks some sounds, and maybe a way to incentivize the player to put seeds on the right side (which I didn't do the first time, I had to read the controls to understand you could make seeds grow). But for a game made in such a short time, I take off my hat one more time, Horace! :tophat: :clap:
It almost seems like a waste to be making this much food just to feed a single chicken. I've got all this grain just kind of lying around on the ground, but my hen just can't eat it fast enough.
One of the most impressive games so far!! The concept of achiving a balance of the economy is really well designed. The art and graphic is vivid and just maches the game relly well! The game is simple but I can have a really tension and immersion when playing it. Great job in 3 hours : )
Would feed the chicken again 8/8 too much grain
