I thought the graphics were very interesting, a bit bold in the color department. The sound fx were suiting. I guess I started the game poorly by falling off of the building. I wasn't sure what to do from the ground, but I can see where you were going with the game once it came to my attention that I should have been on the rooftops. Good luck with the jam! :)

Very cool art and satisfying physics. Reminded me of "Get to the Orange Door". I'd love to jump around on even more obstacles and ramps and flying cars!

Jumping from roof to roof felt very good, but waiting on elevators really slowed the pace of the game down. I think once you allow the player to perform more fluid vertical movement, the time gained from each checkpoint can be lower and then you can really feel a sense of rush as you race towards the next checkpoint. As it was I had a stockpile of time. Closing the doors on the tutorial was a great call because I loved that narrative at the beginning and it was a great introduction to the game.

@kushimoto Thank you very much for the feedback! The elevators were a panic decision made by me when the deadline closed in on the last 60 minutes available, I really regret that decision now but it's to late. The Starting Time Is very hard to get right, I saw some streamers reset 2 or 3 times before grabbing one +Time object but others breezed through barely going below 1:30 minutes. I think as you suggested if I had some easier way to regain height It would be much easier to keep the difficulty level steady. Some people suggested more ramps as @jake-marks or some launch pads. All really good suggestions, but those have to wait for a post-ld build to keep voting fair! ^^

Yes! Wonderful! I love these kinds of worlds and graphics! The 3D aspect was used to its full potential. The theme istelf is lacking, but you've built a level that I would like to play more in. Thanks for sharing!

technonugget 2020-04-21 08:36

I **love** the aesthetic. Maybe a bit too much bloom, but damn. Honestly I feel the best part of this game was just exploring the city, and all the moving parts and how you're able to interact with them is just 👌 spot on. This whole level is something I would absolutely love to see more of. The one thing I would say though is that the player's momentum is a bit wonky, I find that I kept trying to let go of 'w' thinking I would continue to coast through the air only to be stopped and drop straight down.

erebus 2020-04-21 09:51

Very cool idea! Thanks for bringing it by the stream!

polyethyleneglykol 2020-04-21 12:12

@afroant Thank you @afroant! Yeah the theme is something that bugged me so much, I had zero ideas so I had to do something, anything haha :D Thank you for the kind words!

polyethyleneglykol 2020-04-21 12:15

@technonugget Glad you liked it! I had the player be fully physics based first but found that controlling at that high of speed was difficult as you had to had to cancel out your momentum everything you try to land which was hard. I did try implementing a grappling hook but found that it kindof incentivised people to stay on street-level which wasn't fun, maybe if I was more creative I could have thought of something unique haha :D

polyethyleneglykol 2020-04-21 12:15

@erebus Thank you for playing it!

roalinn 2020-04-21 14:55

Interesting graphics and funny :)

ldf-productions 2020-04-21 14:58

Very cool graphics, fun mechanics, very good!

grizzliusmaximus 2020-04-21 14:58

Love the atmosphere of this game. Visuals are spot on! However, as much as I like it, I feel like it affects the gameplay a bit since it gets hard to perceive the depth. The controls are a little bit hard but I like the floatiness. Funny how I like things that are a bit problematic. Sorry if I sound like I have bipolar opinions XD Overall, the game is amazing!

radow 2020-04-21 15:04

Very cool fast paced parcour game. Once you get the hang of it it's quite fun to zip around the city, but the collection tasks start getting a bit trivial at that point. Thats not to bad though, sicne just freely jumping around i tons of fun. Little nitpick: there is no way to quit out of the scene once had enough I think? So I was sitting there with several minutes on the clock jsut waiting for them to run out^^

polyethyleneglykol 2020-04-21 15:20

@radow Yeah I ran out of time with the level :D Had major build problems thanks to the heavy use of scriptable objects which failed to serialize. As this is just my 2nd jam game I havent got much time management skills just yet, but I enjoyed and learned alot nontheless! Thanks for the feedback as always!

polyethyleneglykol 2020-04-21 15:20

@ldf-productions Nice Comment, great feed back, thank you very much! :D

polyethyleneglykol 2020-04-21 15:22

@grizzliusmaximus I have thought about making a rim light or outline shader for the buildings and elevators, but because I made it so low poly it looked.. gross. but lesson learned better look gross and play well then the otherway around! And yes there is no win condition. The next level got scrapped so it just sits there. Never enough time in these game jams ;)!

lordkawaii 2020-04-21 23:06

Took me a little bit to get used to the controls, but once I did I was soaring through the city. Super fun! The only real problem I had was that the bloom was a bit too high, I had trouble making out were I would supposed to head some times, it just got lost in the noise. I would also love to see some sort of wall running mechanic.

n-feofentov 2020-04-22 10:29

Nice entry! Graphics is a bit eye-bleeding though) But it sets the mood and nicely fits aesthetic. Was confused when collectible appeared in glass corridor because I had tried to get inside before and thought it's impossible to do so. Also I would love to have at least one super boost to quickly "dive" forward to catch elevator or train at the last moment. Good luck!

barwani 2020-04-22 12:57

Love it! This can be a standalone game if you make the objective more tangible, widen the map and add some more mechanics. Despite that, i really enjoyed it!

diinki 2020-04-22 15:44

Great game that has lots of potential! Adding more mechanics like enemies would definitely make things more interesting, more variation in audio would also be nice! Great work!

devastus 2020-04-22 17:35

Alright, a parkour game! It was fun jumping around the block, without a win condition it gets trivial pretty quickly but it was nice nonetheless. Controls are just a tad bit too floaty for my taste, but it wasn't too bad. An interesting art style, albeit the brightness is borderline eye-bleeding :P

Very good job!

hjalte 2020-04-22 20:46

Dude, nice entry. Felt great to run around hitching rides on trains and the style fit super well with the mood. I did have a lot of issues with glitching off elevators and trains, which was kinda annoying, but overall I liked it :).
