Cool game, it'd be good if you worked on the horizontal collision system you get stuck on walls and it's kind of annoying. Good graphics!
Physics were surprisingly good. The only bug(?) was that when you touch a wall, it stops all vertical movement.
Sticking to the wall makes the platforming quite difficult.
The collection sounds sorta hurt my ears, they're pretty loud and jarring. The jumping collision was sorta weird (got stuck on multiple walls) and the character jumped back and forth every now and then due to the physics simulation step time (im assuming). Otherwise, good submission but the only thing really tied to the 45 theme is probably collecting the grammys, J, and S.
Well, I died on my first attempt right near the end because I tried to fight everything and you're a huge dick in your spike placement. There is no way to fight the enemies without taking damage. Can't do it from behind because the attack is so damn so they're already miles away then your swing finishes.
I mean what is this crap? Yet another unavoidable damage unless you know the level beforehand. drake.png
Obviously my second attempt was pretty smooth sailing because I knew to avoid fights. And I'm glad I stuck around for a second try because that ending was great. Easily my rating would have been worse if I didn't go for the second run. There was this weird delay before the final boss appeared though. I got to run back and forth the whole floor couple of times thinking I must have missed the "key". But then finally he decided to drag his butt to the face me and I instantly knew that would be my key to victory.
The overall platforming didn't feel very great either. Jumps felt very floaty and not being able to control the jump height coupled with spikes on the ceiling is basically the same thing as blind drops which you had plenty of too. But surprisingly I don't think any of those blind drops resulted in (at least harsh) punishment. Some platform colliders also didn't quite fit what they looked like they should and quite often some background elements looked more like platforms than the actual platforms. There also was this classing unity wall hugging thing. Unless it was intentional. And if it was intentional, you should probably indicate it in the sprite and still include some slipping. People aren't glue! And if you wanna not do that, the easiest way is to drop the player physics material friction to zero.

Btw, music didn't loop. Did you not think anyone would take that long to finish. Well, maybe I wouldn't have either if I didn't stop to take screenshots and record gifs. :wink:
Anyways, good job!
Crazy fun game, I felt very fast at the end ! The combat was a bit heavy but the feedbacks made it very satisfying. Great entry.

I like it so much. Cool idea. Game is almost perfect, only jumping is a bit annoying(when you touch a wall and stuck until you press jump button), but anyway it was very cool experience!
This was fairly fun (except for the bit when you stick to walls while jumping) - until I got stuck inside a platform, with no way to get out. Clipboard01.png Nice idea and graphics, but the physics needs work. I hope to see a post-compo version with some improvements on that front!
Nice character animation, the music also has a beat
my character was perhaps sticking a lot to the walls and also was able to sit comfortably in the spikes, which I don't actually think its bad because I suck far too much on platformers to be able to make any jump

Really funny and the graphics are nice. The physics is weird but GG it was really fun to play!
Cute, and surprisingly expansive for a jam game. And great graphics overall ;) I don't think I'm the target audience (I mean, I know who these people are, I just don't...care), but neatly done anyway. Theme was perhaps lacking a bit!
My only complaint is the sticky walls. Great graphics and fun idea. :D Good submission!

Cute little platformer. Took me a minute or two to get used to it. Missed health powerups, but figured I'd just jump my way to the end, and luckily the end boss was a wuss. 😆 Great job!
Omg this is hilarious, great concept and character animations. As a hip-hop producer this one definitely put a smile on my face. The SFX were pretty loud and jarring... If you need some original "Drake" sounding beats/music let me know!
Nice simple platformer that would definitely have benefited from a little more attention to physics and player moves. The idea is fun and the graphics are very well done nonetheless!
This made me laugh pretty hard (in a good way). Solid platformer. In design. I'm not sure if you are supposed to have godlike jump at the end? Still was fun to godjump :)
Took a bit to put together S and J were speed and jump but even without reading the instructions it becomes very clear. Good level design, it flowed very naturally. Great sprite work!

There is a lot of room for improving here, but the idea is there and it seems good
