Impressive level of polish for a game jam! Fun and challenging - maybe the animations of the enemy attacks could be longer, so the player can have a chance to dodge
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD44 → Return of the Roguelike

I enjoyed a lot playing this game. Very well polished. The enemies were hard to hit and dodge some times but just enough to make it fun. Nice work thx for sharing
Very neat game! I like the art style and the animation of the enemies is really nice, especially the slimes, I love their attack animation. Seems very polished so nice job!
Other than the floaty jumping which I didn't like I have no complaints, it looks good and feels good to play!
Fun game, i like the art :)
great idea for a roguelike, really impressive and fun.
nice game, I like how the character movement feels
Good job :) I really liked the art work, some music would have been cool but overall I quite liked the game
Nice concept
Wow it's a really pretty game in my opinion, and the controls are fluid ! i find it funny to see the enemies keep jumping at you like hungry sharks tho. I only have a few complaints :
First, you can only hit an enemy that is clearly in front of you. If your character overlap him, he can still hit you but you can't, which is quite unfair. Secondly, I have trouble understanding what the blood fountains actually do. Do they give power-ups in exchange of health ? Also, how do you replendish you health ? I saw a bunch of boxes and jars before the boss' room, but I couldn't interact with them, so I just jumped straight ahead trying to avoid everyone, just to see what happens.
Great job though, I really like the art style ;)
@quasar47 Thanks for feedback! To address your issues with the game:
First: I'm aware of this issue, but I don't really want to fix anything more in jam version, but if I finish full version of this game weapon hitboxes will for sure be better, that and enemies AI will be better so maybe they won't get stuck inside player.
Second: the blood fountains were actually last minute addition so they are really confusing, using them basically gives gold (which scales with kills and number of fountains used), and gold you can use in shop before the start of level but only when you are skeleton.
And the boxes and jars, they are just decoations, there is no way to restore health right now, sorry ;)
Nice entry, I am a fan of the genre, and this was a pretty polished experience! The mechanic is implemented well, and it's pretty hard frankly. It would be nice to have better telegraphs of the attack, so I could raise my shield at the right time, even though it doesn't seem to do much. I never got really far, even though I dig the art style!
Very well made game, you did a great job. In addition to the suggestions that others had I'd recommend to do something about just running through and activating all of the blood fountains as a human. Depending on the RNG you can get all the money you need and you're moving so fast that the enemies can't hit you.
Nice game! Reminded me of Rogue Legacy. The boss at the end was kind hard, so I gave up, but a lot of other things felt great, like the katana! Good job!
Really nice game love the skelton twist combat was a little awkward to especially when the enemys didnt want to stand still
Really cool graphics and gameplay! My only complaint would be the background is lighter than the floor/platforms, which makes it seems sorta off to me. It could just be my pickyness, though xd
The take on the theme you've done is very original. My game and most others involved a straight trade-off of health points for something else. What you've done still fits the theme but is very different.
I like randomly-generated dungeons and that's always a challenge to develop, so that's a big plus. Seeing how many enemies you can kill before cashing out is a fun risk.
I'd say the main thing to improve is the melee combat. We're clicking with the mouse, but the position of the mouse doesn't affect what direction you swing which is a bit confusing. Also, after the first death if you don't have anything it's sort of a suicide mission and I just hit the refresh button to restart instead.
Great! Enjoyed playing this one quite a bit and got to the boss. Cool take on the theme and it reminded me of Caveblazers. I loved the different weapons and shields too. Great work!
That was interesting concept. I especially liked that environment damage enemies as well and you sometimes can jump over pikes and mobs will kill themselves. But mobs jumping very weird.
I like the waves of enemies. It is hard to beat them, which makes the game also fun. It would be nice if you could fill up your life somehow. And music would really pimp it up. :)
