When you check for player activating a jump while jumping. Zero out their vertical speed so the jump really has an effect. The Triple jump is pretty much pointless unless you do it frame perfect. Also you can spam spacebar real fast and slam against the ceiling. Speed up the scroll a little bit more :)

A bit rough around the edges but congrats on getting it done!
slightly stuck in the walls, but anyway nice work!
Got stuck in the walls constantly. And yes, the game is hard! Maybe a bit different control scheme would've made things easier for me. Great sfx, hoped to have some music as well.

Solid platformer. The different skills combinations are interesting to try. It's hard, but in a good way. Thumbs up!
The concept was really great, and this was definitely one of those games where some polish could make it into a game people would pay for.

On the first try I didn't take anything and didn't make it far :D. I loved the death animation and the fact that enemies could push me around. I couldn't quit the game after death for some reason.
Good job!
HAve a good concept, but you could've polished it a little more.

Funny game, the main issue is that it is reaaaaally slow. Also fire doesn't seem to kill you, and you easily get stuck to the walls. Maybe add more feedbacks and sounds, but overall this is a good entry! Funny to see how we had the same idea of sacrificing health for upgrades but we did not make games of the same genre haha

Before the review: You need to post a link to your source code for a compo entry.
The game: Nice style, good fun and congrats on finishing it. Little tip, you can use the no friction material in your collider, to not get stuck on the walls. You can either import it from the assets store or it is already installed in your unity game.

I really liked your graphics, especially the cracked egg when you die. A bit of polishing could really make a huge difference though. Nice job, anyways.

I took on your challenge thinking I could beat it.
I couldn't beat it. You're right, it IS hard!
When you're making your character double (triple, infinite) jump, you should zero out your Y-velocity so that it doesn't feel like you're fighting against gravity to jump again. Small change, very noticeable difference. Good job on the game!

I got this far: https://imgur.com/DivXUU3
Not sure if that's anywhere near the end!
This was a cool concept. Choosing what to buy at the start was an interesting idea to add, and you had a nice wide variety of choices.
There was a little dilemma in the design, because what's interesting is the choices, but you make them and then play a really long time, and then when you finally run out of hearts it's hard to restart. So the game doesn't really emphasize its most interesting part as much as it could. Maybe there is some way to have several moments where you have a choice like that to make, instead of all at the start.
I also really liked the bouncing projectile, that was another fun element I don't see in a lot of games! It makes for some fun moments.
As others have pointed out, core control has a few splinters like sticking to walls which interrupt me from getting into flow state.
Overall a nice entry - cool variety of upgrades, cool variety of enemies and obstacles, cool basic controls but just a bit rough around the edges.
Needs a little polish, but theres something wonderful here, great job :)

@pkenney It is near the end, but 2 hard obstacles remained. Thank you for playing the game and your feedback. Besides of that, @all, thank you all for your feedback!
