It feels great to play. The platforming is not as easy as i thought it would be. I realy enjoyed the game. Small bug: when you shoot the missiles look up instead of forward.

The.. umm, jumping? felt a little random. Apparently I cannot jump while moving, but sometimes I could not jump while not moving, either. Is there some hidden fuel bar or something somewhere?

Everything felt good except for the jumping. I got stuck in the walls a couple of times while trying to get up.

As mentioned before, the physics is sometimes counterintuitive. Other than that, a solid entry. :slight_smile:

Nice entry! I think the control feels a bit too challenging, I got frustrated really fast. But I like the idea, nicely done sir! :D

Navigating the map was not easy, but it was totally doable, and with a moment of practice i was able to move around. Game was overall nice, missile explosion sound effects would have probably improved the atmosphere. I did not completely understand what the special items were supposed to do. Would have definitely wanted to play more levels.

Hey guys, your comments and crits mean a lot to me. Really appreciate for taking interest in playing Tank Elevated. I have gone ahead and submitted a new build as per all of your feedback. Kindly let me know if I am on the right track or messing things up even further.

@Beelzeboss Fixed the missiles, thanks for pointing that out.

@Jani Nykanen and @croewens Now the tank's flying mechanism works as it should. There was a bug in the grounded checking area of the code, which is fixed. The tank doesn't get stuck in the walls now. Thanks for pointing that out.

@vilix64 and @elHombreBanana The physics of the player tank and the controls are rewritten. Now the tank is much more easily controllable.

@E-rvin Tank controls are improved now. I have added all the necessary sound effects and background tracks also. Let me know how you feel about them. The special items do play their part in the game. The Missile collectable enables you to shoot a powerful missile with the right mouse button once after collecting, the medal restores your health upto a certain point. Any ideas on how to make it more apparent? As for more levels... that will take time :sweat_smile: but meanwhile I have extended the level for you to enjoy.

@subhajit-nath oh god it improved a LOT! You picked some good music and SFX, the camera movement when you get up is perfect, the controls feel better...

The particle effects and tank sprites look great, the jumping was definitely difficult and I felt like if the thrust was extended just a little the difficulty curve wouldn't be quite so steep. Overall fun game, though, and like I said the visual stile and audio are great!

++ : The music is very cool, not annoying and suit very well with the game ++ : Graphics are very good too ++ : Camera mouvements are good ++ : i like this concept but...

-- : ...damn that's hard ! -- : shoot direction controlled by move and not mouse , making hit & run very annoying -- : sound effect on shoot is quickly annoying

@Semichaut Glad you liked some aspects of this game. I totally agree that the level is hard for new players. I didn't have time to make new levels and manage the difficulty curve accordingly. If you notice, the lower half of the level is relatively easy and the upper half is (extremely)hard.

The shoot direction is definitely controlled by mouse. Are you having trouble aiming with mouse? Could you Kindly elaborate on this?

Looked pretty good! Some of the particles lasted a bit longer than I think was necessary. Good game overall though. Felt nice, it was fun, and I thought it was a nice game to fit the theme.

This is pretty nice with the caveat - as others pointed out - the jumping. It feels off specifically complemented with the other controls. If you get time, different weapons and powerups would be nice too! :) Good stuff.

@diptoman Hey thanks for taking time to play the game. This is my first game jam and I'm so hyped you can't imagine. I'm planning to extend and complete this project with other features along with what you have mentioned. Any clue on how to fix the jump? Is it the jump force that is lacking or is it the timing that is off? Could you please shred some light on this?

Decently built, but I thought the fun factor wasn't *quite* there for me. Switching between controlling the Tank's movement and aiming the turret was awkward, and as a result I was forced to play a slow style, where I hid as much as I could and shot when I could, and it didn't feel like the action's pace matched well with the music. The thrust to jump aspect of controlling the tank was OK, but I didn't like riding the elevators down, I felt like once you're grounded on the elevator, you should stay on it, instead of having the platform drop away from you and repeatedly fall. With better controls and more finely tuned physics, this could be really good. And, for a first-time jammer, this is really well done.

Nice and simple game I liked the bullet trajectory of the tanks a lot that added a strategic element that you often do not see in these kinds of games. Well done!

This is a pretty solid game with a lot of substance to it. It could be balanced a bit better, but otherwise I found it quite entertaining. The AI is challenging. I love the curve shooting mechanic with the angle limits. Somehow I had trouble adjusting to the space bar to jump, I would have much preferred "W" instead. The sound is a bit grating. Oh, and I think you went a bit overboard with the smoke particles :-)
