Couldn't play :( Bullets are not colliding with the UFOs
Fun game, it took me a bit to figure out how to put the fruits inside the blender, but then it was really easy to play.
@gdort -- Had that problem with the HTML5 version a couple of times -- refreshing fixed it for me, or downloading a version will work too!
@tsedate nice, thanks! Ok, now I played and I gotta say: what a waste of good fruit! :slight_frown: If I don't kill the spaceships they mess up my game..
Really fun though! I wish it had an ending!
Wow, just made a similar game
Nice job! A lot of fun and a great concept. I must admit, it was a little on the hard side, ha ha. Trying to juggle so many buttons frazzled my brain a little. Maybe if the chef auto-caught the fruit instead of having to press C it would have helped. But overall, great work. And it's always neat to see another husband and wife team like we are, tackling game jams and making fun stuff! :D
Had some troubles opening. Had to download it. Funny game. Fresh graphics! A nice homage/iteration on space invaders! I missed an ugly boss.
I liked the game, just didt feel like there was a goal since there was no score
Cool Concept! love the music and art  Great Work!
The concept is good, the art is fantastic and the music/sound is very fitting! I only wish the game worked properly for me to try it out. I could not seem to shoot the UFOs as bullets would not collide. Maybe I did something wrong. Still, I can see a lot of love went into it! good work!
Hey @Langotriel, I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for checking it out -- I'm sorry the HTML5 version wasn't working for you. It seems to have that bug in Chrome, but I've never had that happen in Firefox or if I downloaded it. If you want to give it another chance, either of those options should work for you! Let me know if you're still have trouble with it! Thanks!
Presentation is really nice. It's a bit confusing at the beginning to try and understand how the controls work (you mention what each button does, not what to do with them). But after figuring it out, went smoothly. Good stuff!
My screen wasn't big enough to show everything, either in the browser or downloaded. :(

I was super excited to play this game because the smoothies look mouthwatering, and I love games about making food (that's why I made one!). I really liked the music and looking at the art, but the controls were a bit difficult to get used to.
@pparadigm -- Sorry you were having trouble with the screen size. I went ahead and made a change to the HTML5 version that will make the size of the game depend on the size of your browser window -- so you should be able to play in the browser now without having to make changes! I hope you'll give it another shot, and let me know if you're still having trouble. Thanks!
@tsedate Thank you so much for the follow-through. I've had a similar issue on other games and haven't heard back yet. The fix worked for me! I was better at the game this time around, even managed to make a smoothie. Mostly, I really enjoyed looking at the art and listening to the music. The screenshake from firing was a bit much for me, I think if I played for a while it would make me motion sick. But overall this game is very enjoyable!
This game is super fun but there are some problems with colliders when you restart the game or if you go into how to play first. Besides that there is also to much screen shake you should only use that when you hit a space otherwise it's to overwhelming. But overall supper fun good job.
@frostByte4k - Thanks for checking it out! I noticed that same problem, but only when I was using Chrome -- using Firefox or the downloaded version kept the colliders after restarting the game. Thanks for the feedback!
i like how whacky it is! liked the pixel styling but i don't think i'll ever get used to these controls haha
Cute art style. Took me a while to orient myself, but overall a nice entry.
Art is very cool and game is pretty well polished. The gameplay can be a little frustrating sometimes (it needs some errors to correctly understand the mechanics). It would have been very cool if the score was displayed at the end.
I took me a while to understand the gameplay mechanics especially throwing the fruit in the blender but after a few minites of struggling I started to really enjoy myselfe. The basic gameplay works really well for the most part and you have mixed space invanders with smoothie making without making one part feel tacked on the other and unnecessary wich is impressive. My only gripe with the gameplay is when one time when I lined up to catch a smoothie a fruit fell in my hands instead. I also feel like there should be some sort of time restiction or something else on the snoothie delivery but that wouldn't mix well with the random spawning of the fruit. Some enemy variation would be great but is a bit of an unreasonable expectation for a LD game. I really love the color choise, purple, turqoise and pink mix really well, but the ground texture is a bit disapointing and looks really bland next to the other textures. And I personally dislike having diffrent pixel scaling and especially the stretching..
Really great work!
So it's basically a mixture between Space Invaders and a cooking simulator ... **AND basketball**.
Nice
Very cool game and it took a while to get used to it. Although I could suggest more variation and more polished spawn systems but overall, a great concept and a fun one
Took a while to "get", but after that, a really good game! It feels like an old sports game mixed with an atari shooter. Perfect retro charm! The music really helps out, too.
Maybe a sort of timer or losing a tiny amount of health on fruit falling would help make the player prioritize making the smoothie. As it is, I automatically focused on shooting all the UFOs (gamer instinct) which made the game both a bit easy and repetitive in the long run.
But overall, I'm impressed! Have a fish <3 🐟
I liked this game.
