Really liked this! Cool mechanics and ambience, smooth and satisfying text setup. There are definitely some interesting situations arising with the real-time part of it conflicting (in a good way!) with the fact that there is some thinking required and time invested into the commands. Note: I think the itch.io page is cropping your game on the sides (even in full-screen mode). I believe there's an option to "Enable auto-detecting size". Maybe that'll help? :)
@sndr Hey! Thanks for playing, I was pretty happy with how it came out in the end. I've just finished playing your game as well which is pretty great! I'll leave a comment with my thoughts and rate it in a second. I just uploaded a new version of my game on itch which "should" fix the canvas size issue. If you can check it out and let me know if it's fixed that would help me out a lot! Thanks for bringing it to my attention!
Maybe you should add the list of commands in the game, too (unless they are already there). Now I have to exit the full screen mode to see the commands, or just play in non-fullscreen mode.
Otherwise, your game was pretty good.
@Jani-Nykanen Thanks for playing! You can type the 'help' command to get a list of them in game.
nice game. i had some problems remembering the commands, so i died a lot hahahhaha
Well made, and definitely unlike other Battle Royale games. I did find it difficult to tell what was damaging me at times, and the chat log gets very overwhelming quite quickly. Still, a very good job :D

Cool concept, and while I did get most of it I don't think I quite understood how to attack. I kept typing in RANGE2 RANGE2 RANGE2 and didn't really seem to do anything despite having a loaded shotgun on me and an enemy nearby... Great work though, works surprisingly well for what it is
@Oivin-F Thanks for playing! My only assumption is that perhaps you didn't have the shotgun equipped (with the equip command).

With that info I replayed and managed to win with a sniper rifle. I also accidentally dropped my AR but it didn't turn out to make a big difference. GG!
Any chance you've played Black Survival? That actually is a really fun game and your game is very reminiscent of it. Even though it's turnbased, your game is still very tense as you try to dodge and fight quickly with typing. Since this is a bit of a steeper learning curve game, perhaps an easy mode that slowed down AI actions would've helped us out.

This is very well put together! Great work finding two incompatible genres! This game had a surprising amount of visual feedback for text-based game-play, which I really appreciated. Although, it wasn't quite clear on how to "attack" enemies. I'd try using a weapon I was equipped with only to shoot into the air, or if I used a grenade I would immediately die. A bit more instruction there would go a long ways. Overall, great game!
Very cool! One of my favourite entries of the jam.

Wow, really well done! The polish level is off the charts for a weekend LD game. I like the combination of text-based and battle royale, but I also had pretty much the same idea so I'm a bit biased, haha. Only complaint is that I think it moves a bit too fast. I had trouble even reading what was going on before suffering death or something, much less actually reacting. Also, I don't know if this is intentional, but I tried to use a knife that I think I didn't actually have equipped (which is obviously my mistake, but a very easy one to make), and it said I committed seppuku and killed me?
