Even the cactus is dancing. Perf.

sipa 2018-04-24 03:49

Loved the rhythm game :) Nice music and nice concept.

sempiternal 2018-04-24 04:18

I love the concept! Execution is great too, except it took me a bit to figure out at what point I had to press my buttons.

draughtvader 2018-04-24 06:51

Made with Unity, but no Mac build :(

lecalat 2018-04-24 06:59

It's a fun game and I enjyoed playing it, but it felt a little bit too easy.

saoi-games 2018-04-24 08:15

Thanks for stopping by my stream tonight https://www.twitch.tv/saoigames . I'm not sure if that graphic was in the description earlier, but it does make it very clear how to line up the notes to activate the orc.

Good Game!

afroant 2018-04-24 15:53

@DraughtVader Mac build has been added! Oversight on my part. Thanks for catching that!

snorlaxfromspace 2018-04-24 17:53

I enjoyed every second of this. The game seems simple and easy yet quite polished. Are you guys thinking about upgrading and releasing it?

tgiant 2018-04-24 18:07

This game is awesome. Once I understood the game play it was really fun.

Well done. Awesome job.

alex13 2018-04-24 18:19

interesting concept, but needs better balance. Enemies attacks are to often. Visibility is limited you can't plan your strategy.

no-beans-please 2018-04-24 18:23

I love the theme and mood of this game, and its dancing cactus :D

thevash 2018-04-24 19:31

very nice idea, and done quite well too! art and models are pretty good, love the skeletons!

eudes-franco 2018-04-24 19:40

Man, this game is fantastic! The art is great, the music is great. I had a really fun time playing it! The only problem i had with it was that sometimes the drum beats didnt fit properly in the music, but i can imaginie why you did that way. Great job!

erebus 2018-04-25 03:45

Really like the art, sound, and music!

walkdigidong 2018-04-25 07:34

haha really funny, like this gameplay)

ccglp 2018-04-25 08:16

Dancing cactus is the best thing ever.

I'm so terrible with rythim / music games, but this one is very well done. I like how you have two actions and must change between them. It's exhausting though ><

fabian-pohl 2018-04-25 16:38

Great entry and rythm defene game is a great idea. The chars are cool and like the ORcs must die-parody. Cool work!

yahialds 2018-04-26 11:04

Great idea and very scalable

gustavo-manchae 2018-04-27 05:00

This game is awesome!

Loved the concept, great art style, nice 3D models, cool animations, great music.

It could only be a bit more well polished in the difficulty progression and player feedback, though. The area of effect (where you can press the button to make an orc shoot) could be highlighted - as well as some indicator on what lane the skeletons will appear. It makes the game more difficult not having those, but it doesn't ruin the fun. I sure had a lot of fun with this!

erik-brunnstrom 2018-04-28 11:26

Super cute game! I really love the dancing cactuses and the music is great. I would have prefered to have the rythm be based on the accual beat not the sound waves as I found it hard to time the keystrokes to the visual soundwaves even if they "hit" the orcs in time with the music. It's a bit hard to explain but it just feals wrong to me. The rythm system is also super abusable as there isn't anything stopping you from mashing the buttons wich also is super effective.

A really cool game but the rythm system needs a look over

robber 2018-04-29 13:21

lovely game..good combo...i think i would change the controls to something like 'd' 'f' 'j' 'k' so you could play with 2 hands

zarkonnen 2018-04-30 07:30

This is really cute, but it's super-confusing that your actions don't actually match the rhythm of the music.

shohs 2018-04-30 07:36

Fun game, and good music too! The only issue I thought was that sometimes there weren't enough "soundwaves" to deal with all the skeletons that were spawning. Other than that, great job!

warzoku 2018-04-30 09:24

Very difficult to me play this. But I like idea and it realization and I gave good marks

cristiano-m-garcia 2018-05-03 15:28

Good job! Cool game!

I left my rating of your game, if you can leave your feedback in our game, Witch's Escape.

I hope you continue with the project.

yoooo the look and feel is so good here! The intro screen alone is great, but then the camera pans and the cactus are all rubberhose dancing too. Also, when dawn starts to hit and the shadows slink away, it creates an unbelievable mood to it while the skeletons are all rushing you. The dawn effect is by far one of my favorite effects I've seen in any LD, despite how subtle it is.

It took me a failed try to realize when the timing for the hits needed to be. I thought the gameplay was also excellent. You had to kinda scan the field and plan out what you wanted to do for the next set of drumbeats. The healing was a bit straight forward, but with more tools or guntypes I could see a player making quick decisions on loadout and then executing it to a beat. Really good entry with lots of post-LD potential!
