Hey! Glad to see you finished yours.
Anyway, cool game. Oceans and islands always make me happy
Music and sounds are great! It really sets that 'dawn of Civ.' mood.
I think the golfing part works well, and pretty smooth. When you 'hurt' the islands, it always feels like it wasn't the games fault, but mine. I even somewhat like that when you prepare to 'strike' (blow?) it doesn't hold forever, but slowly removes force again. It feels like you're holding your breath. On the other hand, I don't think that's explained anywhere.
Occasionally, I golfed one of the islands behind the top explanation box, so I couldn't click them.
I like the art/animation as well, like the subtle 'rewind time' effect and the nice polished buttons with the slight light effect. Little touches like that, as well as the exposition really help to make it all very polished.
The other 'half' of the game, the strategy... While it shakes up the golf enough to feel fresh, I don't think it gets complex enough here to really shine. Only the demon-map at the end requires any strategy, and I found that the best way was just to attack with all three at once.
Also, I can **sea** the pun in the title. I guess, if this played out under-water instead of on top of it, you'd have called this _'Snook-er'_?
(P.S. It might be that the term 'Primitive' is a bit of a loaded word in English, but I'm not even sure if that applies to the current context. It's just so you know, in case someone just posts a one word comment without explaining themselves, again, like last time :stuck_out_tongue:)
(P.P.S. Don't forget to rate!)

This game is good engouh! You should rate and comment games to get the 20 votes! This would be sad if you don't get rated. :(

Pretty nice! I liked how the island moved around and it was really immersive, to the point of wanting to make the best score possible. :) Nice difficulty progression too!
Well done!

I love the idea and I had fun playing it. I found the controls difficult at first, especially the delay between holing down the mouse and dragging out the force/direction but once I got used to it it was a really enjoyable system.
There was no sound for me, I guess you've fallen foul of the same Chrome update issue as I have.

@goffmog Ahh thanks for the sound heads-up, will try to get something fixed there
A simple but fun idea, it's clear there's plenty of room for expansion and new levels here! Some things to consider if you do want to take it further, it could be good if there were fertile islands you could move your worshipers to to increase their population, which could make it fun to compete against more active enemies.

Nice job. The golfing was really smooth. The audio really worked with the atmosphere of the game. My only complaint is that how I was supposed to attack the other islands got a little confusing. It is a very creative idea though, the two genres don't really complement each other at all which works very well for the theme.

Good choice of colours and i likes the way you mixed the narrative with the game mechanics. The fire demon is very difficult to conquer. I tried to beat it several times but i feel like i am missing something because the fire demon got the better of me
Main thing is that the mechanics are solid. You have a good base to expand on this and add more polish and shine.
Congrats!
I really enjoyed this game! I liked the balance of the serious "god" role and the silly humor like the faces when the islands were exterminated. The missions were fun and unique, adding new challenges. Great job on this one.

I got a hole in one on the first hole so I'm basically the best. I like the art of this game. I really love how you did your water. The texture looks great and the slow movement of it is nice. The water currents are very clear and intuitive, but still in a fairly subtle way. They still look like they belong like they're just markings on a map.
The music and sound effects really fit with the tribal island theme.
I've played the last mission a couple times and finally beat it without getting -7000 points. I feel like I'm still a little confused on what I'm supposed to do. I feel like if I send my archer islands in to attack the volcano, they just die and I lose. It seems like it's just easier to attack the small islands, put 1 villager on them so I can control them and then try to fire them at the volcano for damage. I suppose what I'm most confused about is how the villagers swap islands. It seems to be a max of 1 villager on the small islands and when the 2 archer islands are nearby, they share villagers. When the archer island goes near the non archer island, they steal all the people. So the time I got a good score, I just went and stole the one island, packed it onto my archer island, then flung my 2 archer islands at the volcano.
Wow this is actually pretty deep and cool! Feels like it was a bit rushed (well, it is LD after all) and the execution could probably be polished up a little in terms of game design. It feels a bit "cluttered", if that makes any sense? Like there are a lot of cool things being presented but I feel like that rather detracts from the focus of the game; for example the water currents and such; I feel like they weren't really necessary, least not in the first level.
I appreciated the attention given to the lore and in general the holistic nature of the game which made it all feel very cohesive; I think there is some potential for some cool Osmos-style strategy and puzzle-type scenarios with the islands and villager weapons and all, though it all felt pretty underdeveloped (again, understandable since you only have 3 scenarios!).
Overall great job for LD! Also I lol'ed at your silly yet effective solution for getting around the Chrome audio issue in Chrome 66, hahaha.

A shame about the audio problem, but the game is great so don't worry!
Nice work!
