nice game! the simple art and aesthetics complement the intense gameplay very well! One critisizim i do have it that the turn timer could be slower at the beggining, but overall, nice game!

Nice aesthetic.
A litte too fast for me, but i liked the aestetic and the idea. Flawless execution.
@limered Thanks for playing! It was tough to balance this game because I didn't want to make it too hard for people not familiar with the bullet hell genre but also not too easy for people who are good at it. :) A couple of things that would have made it a bit easier didn't make it in, sadly.
This is such a great idea and love games made in the Love Engine. They boil down to the game play and I think this is great and really fits in nicely with the theme. A little fast for me but I was able to figure out what to do. Fantastic entry!
Awesome game! Simple but interesting mechanics and fitting graphics. Maybe the time to choose a card is a bit short, but overall great game! Good job!
Really good looking game you got there! Thoroughly enjoyed the visuals and also the sound effects. :) Gameplay wise, I think the turn timer kind of defeated the purpose of it being a turn-based game. It still felt a lot like a bullet hell action game. This is not necessarily bad though, as it's just one version of combining the two themes! Other than that, I think the UI could use some improvement, because having to look down at the rather small display of cards and then up again at the ship to direct the movement cost quite a lot of time and effort which could have been solved better.
It really was fun to play though, so good job on creating such a fun and nice looking experience. :)
@apace thanks for your detailed feedback! I definitely made the game a bit too difficult. Originally it was a little too easy, but I over-corrected. :) As far as the timer goes, I kind of hamstrung myself on that front from the outset because I decided I wanted the timer to match up with the BPM of the background music. I probably could have easily made it 3 seconds:1 second (and then it would have synched up even better...) but I kinda wanted to keep the fast-paced feeling. In retrospect I shouldn't have been so married to that idea.
Highest score was 2888! One of the best games I've played so far. It took me a couple times to realize not using a card would damage me, it would be nice if that was made more clear. The take on combining two genres was the cleanest I've seen. Incredible game for LD. Super clean and sharp idea, great execution. I seen it as sort of a card-strategy + bullet hell game, and I love bullet hell games. The limited choice when choosing actions made the bullet-helling way harder, and it was a fun challenge!
Great Game, really fun to play.Management of evade actions makes this game really good in tactical level. This is the fourth approach about combine "turn-based" and "bullet-hell" genres I have seen in LD41. Very inspiring, great work!
Cool game. The controls felt a bit cumbersome to me. I think I'd prefer if a mouse click wasn't required and you just move in the direction of the cursor. Love the graphic style.
Ooooh it's so coooool ! It's realy the style of game which i can download on my phone ! It's really nice, Good idea ! Good sound ! COngratulation !
The Idea is so great, a very good execution, but the "if you dont move, take a hit" rule really piss me off ^^ The timing is really tight
Nice concept! I liked the realisation. I was a bit frustrated by some punishing features (removing health when you don't use a card...), butthere is lot to be done with this concept
Oh, interesting gameplay! Good job! I wish there were some trails or cycled movement of the projects or indication where they are going to be by the end of the next move. To ease the prediction of their movement.
Good job! It's fun to play and fits the theme very well! The audio is good, and the art is quite nice for a minimalistic style. I do wish it was easier though, and the fact that you can't actually shoot the thing that's killing you is a bit of a hamper.
Good job, and good luck!
It's an interesting game. The timer is way too speedy, I think. If you're trying to make it turn-based, I think you should embrace it a little more. As it is, it still feels like a standard bullet hell with the nuance of regular time stops.
This is pretty cool, and yeah - it is very different from my card-based shooter! I would've liked it if the timer were longer, and instead of having to press 1/2/3 (it's a bit awkward to press compared with the rest of the controls) - you clicked the card. The fast timer broke teh flow a bit for me. But otherwise, great idea, smooth presentation, good work overall!
I like the style, very quiet... before the hell of bullets hit you.
#### POSITIVE - Nice graphics. - Few card's, and that's good. - Timer for move. - Two diferent move kind's
#### OBSERVATION - The timer it's too short, at first I feel really nervus, but then just angry. - Controls are intutive, but hard to remmeber (But I think it's just me). - I was thinking, when you Hit the boss something happen, but no, nothing. (Even if he kill, feels better than he ignores me).
Simple but dificult, nice.
Nice game! I like the style. I couldn't pass the 4000 mark. It is nostalgic and I like the HD quality to it. Good job stderr!
Great idea and I love the gameplay. the art and music are really fitting the game. overall this is awesome game and Good work!
