Took me 2 tries to figure you what I was meant to be doing cuz I skim read the instructions, but after reading them properly I can say I really like the idea of fishing for the right ammo, the setting and art is pretty funny too. Not too difficult but gives you enough to manage so that you can't play on autopilot.
Thanks, @GexAlmighty! Come back and rate when the judging starts!
Thinking of doing a Mac or Web build?
I enjoy this game very much, thanks.
@pandademic42 Unfortunately I don't have a Mac developer's license or the GMS2 HTML5 module. If you know anyone who could compile it from the source file for me that would be great! Thanks, @pahlsoftware! Remember to come back and rate!

Hi, I was interested and tried the Linux version, but unable to run game, with this error: ``` Not a PNGReadPNG :: a PNG error occuredIcon: w=-1 h=-1 Segmentation fault (core dumped) ``` and as I see image resources in assets folder looks truly like jpegs with png extension

Nice idea. Did the score is online on local ? Missing maybe something to manipulat the color, like a rainbow, but still i like it :) Nice sounddesign and graphic btw
@onnofal Uh-oh! I'll fix it ASAP. @GiGiChef The scores are global. See if you can keep the top spot!

@Samusoidal yep indeed works and it is great :) and i appreciate the powerup system, making me more chances to survive - to catch correct fish when some rocket approaching is too often nearly impossible for me. but overall very nice
Thanks @onnofal! I appreciate you coming back to play.
Great game! The art direction really is something! I love the playfulness of it all. The shooting sound is just hilarious! Graphics are great and i dig the background you give in the beginning. I actually would have loved some ukulele for our game, too, but sadly, we didn't have the time. So it warms my heart to hear this beautiful instrument in another fishing game :) As a game, I think your idea does work really well, too! Great and engaging genre combination! On my first playthrough, the game crashed after entering my name. On the second it didn't. So maybe that was just a random bug. Nevertheless, I wanted to report it.
Great entry, have one of our fishes for your effort <3 🐟
@Beebo-Studios  Thanks! And a fish for you as well :blowfish:
Simple and fun! Art and sound work well together.

Haha nice genre mash-up. It kind of reminds me of one of those multi-tasking puzzle games meant to stress people out. As always I enjoy your artwork as well. The music was nice and simple too, but it began grating on you after a bit because of the short loop. I also **love** LD games with a global high score table, I think they are so fun. Apparently I am number 1 right now (unless my client was wrong), although I doubt that will hang around.
@silkworm_sweatshop Thanks for playing! @wheffle Thanks so much! I'll be honest with you: you beat my own high score

Excellent game, had fun playing it! Got ~2450 points on my second try but it crashed when submitting the score. =( Tried starting again and died immediately just to check the high score list and it looks like my oldest high score (from my first try) got overwritten by the later lower dummy score. Here's the crash error message: > FATAL ERROR in action number 1 of Async Event: HTTP for object obj_endgame: > json_decode argument 1 incorrect type (undefined) expecting a Number (YYGR) at gml_Object_obj_endgame_Other_62 > stack frame is gml_Object_obj_endgame_Other_62 (line -1)
@Lakrits Thanks for playing! I am aware of that bug and I'm working on fixing it... I think it's on the server side.

Nice game! I really liked the atmoshpere and concept, simple yet challenging! I don't know why but I have found the sound effect hilarious! Great job! If I may ask you a favour could you please play and feedback my game? Here's the link: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/casual-title
@hank1996 Thanks for playing! I'm working through my list of games to play but I'll give yours some priority
cool game! there's never the right colour fish when I need it though lol. I like that you've made a global leaderboard, that was a nice touch!
It'd be great if you checked out our game too! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/rattys-stew-an-immersive-cooking-simulation

Funny little game, the art stands out from what I'm used to, I like it. Also enjoyed the fact that you added some backstory to it :)
Thanks @tay! I love to see people enjoying my artwork.
Good take on the theme. I love the contrast between the music and the missiles being shot at you. Great job!

my first thaught when i played the game was that this whole thing was made in paint, made me laugh
@fashionbatman Thanks for playing! @scout Thanks for the feedback! The art was actually drawn in pencil and scaled down on-screen, so it looks kind of wierd. I bet it look great on a 4K screen, though.

That was a pretty unique mix of genres! I like the simple art which creates a peculiar setting for a peculiar type of game.
The controls were easy to understand once you read the instructions (which had some minor spelling and grammar mistakes by the way). The controls could have been visible at the same time as playing to make it even easier but it was not a problem for me.
The sound effects created with your voice was humorous and well made. The gameplay was interesting but somewhat hard because you had a very small area to work with, sometimes it was hard to catch the fish that you wanted to catch.
Overall a very cool game, fun to play. Good job!

@Linus Thanks for playing! I guess proof-reading at 10 PM isn't the best idea :flushed:
I would have recommended a feature where you increase the speed of the missiles as time goes on to make the game a little more difficult. However I thought it was a unique concept that flowed well when put together. I also appreciated the art.
Nice job with this!
@David-Wallett Thanks for playing! The missiles do go faster as time goes on, but the difficulty curve is very shallow. If you get as far as @wheffle did the missiles are practically touching each other!

Funnny game to play! It start to be hard when you let missiles come. Anyways I'm the third in ranking  Love the paint-style art btw hahaha
@Rick95 Thanks for playing :laughing:
Fluid game play the graphics go together and different then most other games so a nice change.
Thanks @marioman68!
Great game! I really liked the simplicity of the graphics  and it was fun to play. The gameplay is also very smooth.

Very nice, especially love the art style of large 2D characters. At first it seems very hard and I thought I won't take more than a couple minutes of this, but eventually it turns out the difficulty is just right to make it constantly challenging. Enjoyable game really. My name on scorebord is Asdfadfsasdf.. :D
@kr4ft3r @Anubhav-Kashyap Thanks for playing!

really like your game, especially the audio
Thanks, @xoidberg!
This was surprisingly fun. Reminded me of ridiculous fishing, and I liked the mood and the music.
@blubberquark Thanks! :laughing:
