Yeah if there's one thing that people are good at, it's following directions.

Extremely well done game, both technically and artistically. I'd like to call out the windowing system in particular, felt effortless (which is good given how integral it is!).

A bit to difficult. Refuel does not always work. So its a bit too frustrating. But great idea.

zarkonnen 2017-12-04 11:18

It's a cool game, but sadly drag and drop was quite unreliable.

marekkpie 2017-12-04 12:58

Don't know whether it was itch.io's wrapping of the game or what but I'd often lose grip of things I wanted to drag while playing. I imagine this wasn't an issue running locally inside PICO-8

Always down for a good Bureaucracy simulator

Graphics are great and perfect for the theme of the game. The theme of the contest was very well implemented. I just had a technical problem, some times I wanted to drag and drop the files and they got suck in the mouse with one click, and some times I just clicked them and the text selection cursor appeared, I guess it's a browser player problem. I'm playing it on chrome. Great game anyways.

*Service Update 04/12/2017: Some employees have reported issues with dragging the mouse in the web player. These issues should now be resolved. Desktop builds for Windows, Mac and Linux have also been provided for your convenience. Thank you for working at Complicity Inc.*

I enjoyed this quite a bit. The WarioWare + Papers Please. Very cool.

desdemone 2017-12-05 12:39

I've been following your development on Twitter and couldn't wait to play the game, and man I'm not disappointed. It's really good both artistically and technically, it fits really well to the theme, it's quite immersive... Congrats :D

Misclick.

You definitely nailed the theme. I got overwhelmed pretty quickly. ;) However, it was super innovative, and generally a cool concept. An amazing entry.

Great game! Mechanics very well associated with the theme. The game seems quite complete!

Ótimo jogo! Mecânicas muito bem associadas ao tema. O jogo parece bastante completo já!

Really liked this one, good use of the theme. I also love the visuals on pico-8 games. The drone mini-game felt a bit hard but that aside, the game was really fun and straight forward. Good job :3

oh man i really love the look and just how well it makes u feel overwhelmed and anxious lmao but its quite fun :D

liquidream 2017-12-07 06:33

Wow, that was **tough**! Great graphics and concept - really matches the theme well. I have to confess, I was *not* a good employee. I buckled under the pressure. Maybe I'm just no good at multi-tasking! Good luck! :D

Really great entry! Even though the concept was strong, I was half-expecting this to be a massive slog to play (which would be thematically appropriate despite being boring!), but it turned out that it was actually really well balanced such that you're doing each new task long enough for it to be stressful, but not for so long that it feels too repetitive.

A couple criticisms: - The profit forecast didn't feel anywhere near as transparently sinister as the drone, censure, or disposal tasks; I think it would have made more sense to put this as second to have the ramp towards complete lack of personal ethics a bit smoother - Got completely thrown for a loop on the population one and got fired before I had a chance to figure it out; I imagine this one was near the end though, so it may just be purposefully much more obtuse, haha - I would've really liked there to be a couple more interactions between different elements of the OS. The evidence -> trash interaction was cool, and it would have been interesting to see more elements that took advantage of that sort of thing instead of having so many which were contained within a single window.

One of the best uses of the theme I've seen yet!

serpentworks-games 2017-12-09 11:44

I rather enjoyed this! I would have liked to have had more time to figure out how the society and population tasks worked. I couldn't really figure them out until the end, and then I got fired after I couldn't keep the power on! I think your use of the theme is super well done here and the whole game is well put together.

Great job!

vfabien21 2017-12-09 13:26

Nice "paper please" like. I love how the theme of complicity creeps in, and the haste to perform mondain tasks totally overcome the truth behind it.

honest-dan 2017-12-09 21:30

Really liked this! Had a blast on stream playing it, despite it being a clicker style game. Nice and challenging. The final type of challenge of *something* citizens was hard to figure out, other than that nice mix of challenges.

Very fun game. I included it in my Ludum Dare 40 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFjCDu50TQs
