This.Is.Hilarious. Tears-inducing laughter. I'm still playing but just had to post something.
You've put together an excellent game for this game jam! I love all the voice commentary you provide between the levels. It really adds that extra level of polish. I also am a fan of the hand-drawn cartoon look you have for your game. Great game!
@nammflow @bouyerthedestroyer @interface Thank you! Thank you!
This is probably my favorite game this Ludum Dare so far! It was very funny and the puzzles were pretty good. I saw that one of the characters was deceased, I'm not sure if I missed it, but I don't think that was explained. Also, I noticed a few physics glitches where in some cases your cats would get stuck in the fence. Still, great work(I beat it)!
Absolutely enjoyed the humour, I'd let Frank and Diane narrate my life forever. The puzzles were great too and you nailed the theme.
Also, the 7 cats I ate? They were delicious.
Very clever little puzzle game, and a good fit to the theme. It was driving me crazy after the third puzzle :P.. love the voice acting too. Well done. Oh sorry, forgot to mention, the art and animation sequences were done incredibly well also. a very neat entry. it wouldln't be too much of a stretch of the imagination to see this on iOS :)
The audio recordings were a blessing. Super funny and well put together. The puzzles were great too, though they didn't feel like they were going from least challenging to most challenging. I had a lot of trouble on the first 2-3 puzzles, then the rest felt much easier. Really good stuff!
Extremely funny and also challenging. Art is lovely. I loved the audio as well! Congratulations!
Incredible game, amazing humor, astounding presentation. Words are simply not enough to praise this gem. Good fuckin' job.
The graphics are great and funny !!!!
Woah! This was a great puzzle game! The humor at the start made me chuckle and that was some pretty good writing/voice acting! The simple rules of the game made for some very interesting puzzles! The first level had me stumped for a good minute until I learned that you could interrupt moves with a new one. It would have been nice to have a visual hin on the blue and red cats in their diamond in which directions were flipped. Eg. arrows on the top and bottom or on the left and right to help aid in remembering which color was which. The puzzle designs were really great, whenever you achieved the goal ahead of par it felt so rewarding. Congratulations on finishing the LD!
Nice little puzzle game... brilliant presentation! Funny stuff :)
Clever use of theme. Solid game over all. 5/5 for audio due to narration!
Very nice puzzle game!! More challenging than i expected!
Awesome puzzle game, even if sometimes level was easier than the previous one. Anyway, a good game with funny audio
This will definetly be among the top contendors for humor. Well done.
Very good entry ! Smart puzzles, super fun, top notch commentary... Well done !
One of the best game so far, I really like it! It's pretty fun, smart level design, all the assets just work together.
GOD DAMN voice acting is good! <3 Also very challenging game.
p.s.Why do kitties never go into the box when you want them too...
This game was extremely funny. I loved all of the effort you put into the voices: at first I felt like I would quickly get bored of the commentary during the puzzles, but there were so many unique and funny lines that it was entertaining the whole way through. Also, the scoreboard narration was excellently-written. Sometimes I feel like games can try "too hard" to be funny and end up just cringeworthy, but the humor here avoided that and was well-done. The funniest part for me might have been when the 10th place person was listed as "deceased", it was just so absurd that I couldn't help but break down in laughter.
The puzzles themselves had a cool mechanic, but I feel like you could have done a lot more with it. There were a few interesting levels (like the one with 4 cats in each of 3 corners and each corner having a different color of cat), but most of the puzzles got pretty repetitive after getting the hang of the rules. However, I will say that I never got bored and played through to the end, probably because you only had two levels in between scoreboard commentaries.
One small suggestion: I agree with @draperdanman that some indication of which color corresponded to which directions would have been nice. Even by the end of the game I was screwing it up.
Overall, this was a lot of fun to play, even though the puzzles themselves were kind of unremarkable. The graphics and audio were very polished, and I never would have guessed that this is your first game jam. Great job!
