That was pretty intense :). I have always enjoyed typing games, but this was more fun than most I've played. I liked the music as well, reminded me of Earthbound

Haha I love the audio and humor of your game, and typing games are great :) That last file destroyed me on this laptop keyboard, will definitely try again when I'm on my real keyboard xD

I really liked the style of this game! I wish the sentences were randomly generated for more replay ability tho.

Typing games are quite rare, but can really fun and hectic if done well. This is a great example! With more time and polish this could be a really great game! Probably the most fun LD40 game I've played so far. The humour and technical context really helped this game out too! Great job!

Great references, we sat and giggled as I fumbled around trying to compress the 3d file. Small, but delightful

Final score: 2.83 (missed one?). This was fun, and challenging because I'm so used to typing whole words ^_^. Nice, simple, and well executed.

The gameplay is challenging and fun to play even if as said before, that would have been great to have randomly generated sentence. Very good idea to use data compression as theme for your game !

Very nice game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 40 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlEs2Zt4em8

Nice take on the theme, and surprisingly fun. Well done!

Had difficulty with this one, because it would remove letters from the middle while I was focusing on the left. I did think it was thematically funny overall.

I loved the silicon valley references. Wasnt sure how it worked with the theme till level 3 then it all fell into place :)

That was cool. Nice take on the theme. I am really surprised how hard it is to avoid typing the words that are clearly in red but I know I'm not supposed to type simply because my brain can't help but read the text as words. It reminds me of things like the implicit associate test where some layer of our brain automatically processes information and we have immediate reactions before we can conscientiously think about it.

It was interesting to play a typing game where you had to be selective about what you typed, instead of just trying to bang off the words quickly. Nice work.

serpentworks-games 2017-12-07 02:32

A typing game! You don't see these too often anymore. It was super interesting to play, though I expected it to work more like a typing test (where you have to type the characters in a sequence).

Great submission!

charlez245 2017-12-07 02:38

Managed a 90% compressed 10% loss on the last one. Really cool how there are some character that reduce points and how you can type in any combination. Nice work!

danman113 2017-12-07 03:24

A really simple game well executed. Not super engrossing but I enjoyed the little details and animations you added in.

peachtreeoath 2017-12-08 05:24

At first I thought it'd be too straightforward because of the slow speed, but all my typing muscle memory came into play and betrayed me for a while. Got a hang of it by the third but it was a really good twist to standard typing games.

A really good take on typing games, surprised I haven't seen it before! Loved the SV theme link and the music was cool. Being able to type out of order was cool too. Would love to see more of this under an original setting.
