I found it kind of hard to enjoy. It was impossible to dodge all of the objects and I wasn't able to find a way to survive the glitch world other than luck.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD40 → IDEA!

Getting hit is pretty much unavoidable, but after you learn that the lightning only strikes in certain places, it becomes a lot easier. Perhaps this is a statement about inevitable distractions getting in the way of your goals?
The sprites look real good and have soul. The glitch effect is really nicely done.
@nardandas We nerfed it when developing but it was too easy so we decided to leave it like this.
We apreciate your comment and we are thinking about making a 2.0 version after Ludum Dare, we can try to fix this problem making the objects slower and making a better spawn curve. Thank you for the Comment!
@nillard Yes you grasp the meaning of our game.
My Friend Armando made the Sprites and the Music, it's thanks to him that the sprites look so cool! Thanks for leaving a comment, We appreciate that!
I like the character sprites and some of the visual effects are really cool.
That said I didn't totally understand what I was doing it or why. Also the controls were too floaty-- I wouldn't be able to dodge the books or whatever even if I was trying!
I liked the game... It was really hard to avoid the objects flying at you because they were going so fast. I eventually got the hang of staying alive in the "upside down" and almost found that part easier. I liked that I was able to make progress in the other world. I also liked the glitch effect.... that was cool!
"A" couldn't jump if 10 naked ladies were calling to him lol.
Well done.
@ahintoflime I will try to improve the controls. I think they are too floaty because they are based on the unity physics... next time i will try something different. Thanks for the comment it means a lot for us
@meanmon13 Thank you! The concept was that you could do progress in each of the two world as the first represent the real world and the last represent the Immagination world.
nice idea... but controlls could be better...
I really had no idea what to do. I would have loved even a simple tutorial screen.
It was quite hard to play because I couldn't dodge the items right ahead of me.
But I think this game is a great methapor for the first hours in a Ludum Dare competition. First everything is calm, and then BAM! Ideas are coming from everywhere but not all ideas are great, and the more you have the more complex the project builds around it.
I loved the characters, I would love to see them in a comic book. I just started thinking in their personalities, fears and achievements. I don't know why, but your game kinda inspires me to develop a deep character. Yours are there and they transmit so much. Maybe is just my way of seeing things.
Nice music by the way!
Nice try! However, I feel like the controls are not that great and the mechanics are not really doing it for me. Maybe it would be more interesting if a new mechanic was introduced?
@wdelvi Read the description in this page and than play. This is our first jam and we didn't have time to make a Tutorial
@amir-bayareh You make me Happy, you got the point of our game, thank you for this comment I'm happy that we managed to inspire someone
@mambojambo We'll consider your idea for a future version of this game, thank you for the advice
I found the game a bit too easy, but otherwise pretty fun! I'm not quite sure what was happening or why, but I liked it all the same :)
Noice sprites, but the game's maybe a little simple !
Alright, here's the biggest problem with the game. It's the jump. It has so little height you can't even jump over projectiles, and it's so floaty that even if you could jump over them you couldn't possibly react in time. That being said, i thought the graphics were pretty solid, in particular the character animation was very good, and the idea could be made into something cool with some more work!
I enjoyed the game - once I learnt that the lightning strikes at certain places and nowhere else (and learning that jumping off of another terrain while you are already jumping makes you jump even higher) I managed to finish the game within 3 minutes :D
Great game and I hope to see more from you in future :)
This is a fun good looking game. Good job! Just needs a little polish.
@akusan I am not a developer of this game but... could you please expand on what you mean by "needs a little polish" ? I don't understand and I would love to know what you mean since I think the game is pretty polished
I'll jump on the sprites bandwagon: The sprites are pretty cool.
But I did not like the controls. I'm not sure whether it's specifically for the WebGL build, but jumping was incredibly difficult until I realized that the PC cannot jump while running. Perhaps you might look into how you implement the movement, because jumping while moving is incredibly necessary, especially if you expect us to dodge fast flying objects.
I also felt that the flying objects were practically impossible to dodge. Perhaps you could have a prompt show up on the right of the screen giving some warning before the things spawn? That would enable the faster and more skilled to dodge out of the way. Currently the glitch world is much easier to traverse because the lightening has a prompt: you can see it coming from above and move away.
The idea is imaginative and the lighting is cool. but the jump control is a bit weird. Maybe add one more "crouch" action to avoid the flying items could be more interesting?
Screen Shot 2017-12-06 at 11.47.55 AM.png The lightning is too frustrating. Its hitbox extends beyond the sprite, and it can appear immediately when the player enters the other world so that there is no time to dodge. On the positive side, the characters' run cycles are nicely animated.
Nice game and cool psychedelic effects xD I agree with @akusan with that needs a bit of polish on controlls and specially when the player is next to a tile that is one tile upper your position but polishing the controls is a hard work I think is rare to find on Jams so congratultions guys!! (@x-budsterized-x)
@brenden @lautregars The first comments says that the game is too hard so now i don't know how to balance it :joy:
I maybe have to try a different way to spawn the varius objects
@georgebgreen We will work to make a better post ludum dare game, thank you for the advice, I'll try to make the jump better editing the parameter of the unity rigidbody attached to the character
@x-budsterized-x Yes is a bug i didn't managed to fix  I don't know what causes this bug...
Thank you and stay tuned for the next Ludum Dare Jam!
@andreas-ragen-ayal WebGL is really slow in controls reaction and have some issues, the PC version is better.
I thinked about a prompt that show up on the right of the screen giving warning when the objects spawn but i didn't managed to include it in time for the end of the jam. I am sure to introduce this prompt in the next version of this game, thank you for the comment we appreciate that
@betanab99 Heeeey I don't even want you to fix it! it adds to the game in my opinion! :D and I think you should leave the game as it is - it is nothing game breaking and there is a wide varienty of skill of people around here and every single one of them excel at different genre of game :)
For my game for example, some people say it is hard and some that it is too easy. And I am just watching them all have fun after all :)
Enjoy the spirit of LD !
@lunardust I thought about a "crouch" action just after the release of the game but it was to late :joy:
@mase It's a strange thing... I made the hitbox of the lightning and they should no hit in that situation  what version of the game you was running?
I know that lightning could appear immediatily and this is my fault.
Thank you a lot for the bug report!
@josef21296 Thank you :relaxed: next time I'll use more time improving controls for sure :joy:
I played the HTML5 version on Safari.
@mase Thank you, I will test the game on safari
Nicely animated, great music. I did get the game stuck when I got struck by lightning and had to refresh. Was this intended?
Cool game, the music is very catchy and matches the game.
@cameronjsamels no it was not intended, thank you for the bug report
@x-budsterized-x Yeah! I love the spirit of LD! This is our first Jam but we'll partecipate the next LD for sure
