!Very thoughtful game with a big message about our small world. Well done!
It broke my heart but it was really interesting to do an educative kinda game about this subjects, the art is nice and I liked your idea of choosing to use the theme to raise awareness for our own little world. I'm sure there are a lot of things to do with this concept! Keep going on the good work!
Really well done! This game is super-fun to play, super-fun to watch, super-fun to listen to... and so sad to think about. It was a very clever idea to interlace fast-paced amusement moments with morals that really hit you hard. Also surprisingly polished for a Game Jam. Congratulations!
Great game! You really managed to balance the message with a more fun, addictive game design! It's hard to talk with people about those topics, so maybe this is a way to approach things. This overall also felt really polished, like an app you could download from the store. And I tested the WebGL build on my Linux machine, works nicely :) All in all a really good game with a great message/messages!
Cute art with a great message. I like that you went with the WarioWare-style type of play for the game!
Wow, very polished game. Love it! The art is very cute and all the single tasks are designed very well and have a great message. I especially love the ice bear sliding down the hill haha :D Would also be an awesome mobile game! :)
wow it happens too fast for me ;) I never managed to beat the turtle level :( anyway I liked it a lot, it's really polished. the lightheart mood and the fun part really help keep the player entertained and therfore convey the message where a more serious approach usually fails. congrats!
Nice and polished game! --> "we wanted ‘S.A.V.E’ to feel friendly but meaningful at the same time." yes you achieved this very well! The music is a bit too repetitive for my taste and the turtle mini game was the only I didn't manga after several tries.
Interesting take for the theme, the cute but meaningful mood is really fitting aswell.
Games that approach serious real-world problems usually fall out as pretentious if done bad, but yours have just the right amount of sobriety/quirkiness to make it interesting yet evocative to the mind (the humor helps too).
To complete seven mini-games (even if there are micro-games) is not small feat, so congratulations for this entry!
I love this kind of games... And this one in particular! The animations are awesome, solid gameplay and great message. Add more mini-games and put it on a mobile store!
Really like this game! Love the art style and 'dark humor'?
Best entry I've seen so far! I love the cute and consistent art style. The tears make the animals so sympathetic! =D I will say that I found the turtle minigame significantly harder than the other ones. XD
Quite simple but I like the idea of using minigames like these to tell an important story. I loved how you push the player (who is blinded by his will to play) into something only to make him think about what he has done. Nothing could be more effective in making us feel responsible. The lion made me cry! Great job guys!
Flows well, completion text could do with hanging for a little longer as i sometimes had trouble seeing the context "message" straight away, and the bear one is impossible unless it pops up last it seems? otherwise, very clean, consistent and if the tempo of the music isnt slowly increasing then the game is making me feel like it is at least :D enjoyed playing
Not every LD you see a game with a message behind it, but you sure put in the effort to tell that message. From a mechanics point of view, having so many mini-games does burden you with extra testing and tweaking to ensure they all work as intended, the taking a picture of the bear one for example, showed me the bear once as I read the instructions and refused to pop it up again. The organising chicks one seemingly bugged as I couldn't put down the chick I'd selected. Regardless, you got a lot done and raised awareness in the process!
Nice and neat game, It's fun and I really like the art
A super cute game, whit a great humour. The game mechanics is good, but to me they was a bit too simple. But overall a super well made LD game. Well done.
Very well made mini-games and good general message and consistency in the overall experience. I would perhaps on the each mini-game have gotten a bit of a pause first time each type appeared so I could read and understand the instructions before I got to play. For the tiger, and probably the turtle (had I ever gotten far on it) success was rather abrupt as you were focusing further down on the screen so many times I had fail when I actually survived the whole mini-game. That could be fixed by only giving hoops for the duration of the mini-game challenge and not continuously. Generally very fun and well made!
Huh.... very polished, especially considering its just the two of you, well done guys. Only comment on gameplay is maybe the first round could be a TOUCH easier?
Very clear message being broadcast too, even if in a light hearted manner.
Awesome game, extremely polished! Usually I do not enjoy the WarioWare-type of grinding (once the puzzles start repeating), but I liked everything about this one. I "unlocked" four animals, with a high score of 2640. Photographing the bear was the best minigame in my opinion.
Cute graphics! I included it in my Ludum Dare 38 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLywFLMDPJc
Although I know the goal of point is a strategy to attract me to play more, I still accept it, because, as you say, well, at least for them. The problem in this game is realistic, although they are told by some cute pictures. I hope the animals in our world can live better and better.
