Very fun, but challenging, i died very quickly.
The atmosphere is great. But you die too fast.
It's kinda hard, but a good game, I like challenging games :)
interesting gameplay, i like it. i dont see the benefit of switching to plane mode. otherwise nice job
/shhh, you use the plane mode to win the game
I love how hectic this is! Also the insane AI cars moving around, crushing each other. Some extra instructions might've been handy because I didn't figure out how to lure enemies to the chasm. The game is also very tough! The mouse-rotation was disorienting in a great way.
SOOO hard. Very fun controls and great sound, but SOOO hard.
I'm not really sure what's going on in this game, but I did enjoy playing a bit. On-screen instructions would help.
Took at least 10 minutes to be able to get somewhere. Fun gameplay, but it doesn't really follow the shapeshift theme. Sure, you could become the plane thing but it didn't do anything to impact the game.
VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
I was really confused with the objective of the game, and due to low health and strong steering by AI, I was easily frustrated with the game. My first reaction was to collect fuel-cells for as long as I can, which I found out did not necessarily help all the time. Only as I flew over the cliff did I notice there were more on the other side.
I think an objective presented early on, as well as making the other side of the cliff more visible would have dramatically improved my experience. The driving felt pretty good, and there's a sense of rhythm behind collecting fuel cells. The AI could be a little more nicer though (or decrease the number of enemies).
Manic and fun. Great tune. I did not beat it.
I feel like the mechanics are there, and the concept of dodging cars like heat-seeking missiles is fun. But I don't feel that it's "fair", because it's too hard to see them. I'd recommend zooming out by at least half, to give the players more vision. And maybe having the camera follow where the car is looking, instead of controlled by the mouse.
Also, you should tell people the objective, because if I didn't hear the streamer explain it, I would have had no idea how to play! Or alternatively, you can add feedback into the game, such as a jet engine smoke and it slows down and fades when you run out of fuel, and also a out of fuel beep.. maybe.
Oh neat idea with the beep, I'd never think of that. Sounds like it'd add a bit to the mood as well.
The idea with the camera was that you look out for dangers, but it seems it doesn't sit well with first-timers. Generally, the game is full of things that don't sit well with first-timers.
Noted for upcoming ludum dares: No weird mechanics.
Great work! Really had fun finishing this game :) The more I played it, the more I liked it!
Fun, but still very hard, despite your '420 Update' ;).
Great visuals and audio.
Actually the only thing I wanted was for you to take your fun sense of humor and apply it to the game itself more.
Anyway, really enjoyed this.
Interesting mechanic but as soon as the raiders start hitting you there really isn't any way to escape. You die really quickly after that.
The music's really good and the atmosphere is well done. The graphical style is pretty neat, lots of nice particles all over the place and nicely done sprites.
Making the AI more predictable so the player could figure out a way to actually avoid them more easily would go a long way to help this entry.
That was fun! Very easy to die, especially if you make a sharp turn and everyone collides to you :)
Plane was even harder since it does eat all the fuel instantly.
Extra props for the Linux version!
