| Oct 20 17:43:36 | Animatronia: A Journey Through the Scrapyard | ♥ 1 | Yay, I overthrew the overseer. Nice platformer, I like that the new platforms drop into place rather than just appearing. The game freezing when something new loads in wasn't great. It would have been better to preload everything since there are not many assets here. That one jump to the right in the final room into a single block high space was frustrating. I did not realise I had an attack until I picked up the upgrade. | |
| Oct 20 18:14:54 | 31m 18s | Road Rage | ♥ 2 | Why am I playing this silly game when I have such a cute kitty to play with. Love the idea, and very well put together. I managed to get an R stuck on screen at one point though, until the cat returned. I did miss that I had to click on the game to get the audio to work. |
| Oct 21 18:23:46 | 24h 08m | The Last Lost | ♥ 0 | Looks great, I also failed to figure out what I was supposed to do. The only thing I found that seemed interactable were the three levers you start next to. |
| Oct 21 20:33:24 | 2h 09m | Black Box of Light | ♥ 1 | That was great. A nice finale too. Adjusting the aperture wasn't as obvious as the other controls. I would have liked more requests, though short and sweet was nice for a jam game. |
| Oct 21 22:11:40 | 1h 38m | Hic Sunt Elephanti | ♥ 2 | Interesting art style, though I found it a bit too dark to see anything. The end cards were a nice touch. I managed to save two after a few attempts. The ground around the hill could have done with not being completely flat. As is the water seems to just pop out of nowhere at and you die, rather than being able to see it approaching. |
| Oct 22 20:31:15 | 22h 19m | Rogue Cove | ♥ 2 | That was awesome. Is there an end or does it just go on forever? I got to the point I was just zooming around, killing anything in one hit, and was practically invincible. Never figured out what some of the acronyms were, or what some some of them did. I need to find the 50 page manual that came in the box... My run unfortunately ended when I went down a ladder and spawned in a wall, same as the image above. I encountered some other issues such as chests blocking routes, but fortunately not game breaking. Probably just as well, I was playing for a while. I should move on to other entries. Also the tooltip Z order was a bit broken, I had to take the gems out of equipment to check what they were. Screenshot_20261022_211950.png It would have been nice if it tracked how many levels I had played. It was a lot. |
| Oct 22 23:26:49 | 2h 55m | Lexitron | ♥ 0 | Lovely concept, really fun and satisfying puzzles. The limited space made it interesting, and the synonym/antonym mechanic was a really neat idea. I wondered if those affect different words you can assemble, or just the starting ones. Only issue is you have to build something to find them out first to see if they can be useful. The last level was the only one that I had problems with, mostly with needing to adjust timings which could be tricky. It would have been easier if the pause function worked properly as it was hard to check what I needed to change with so many moving parts. It did crash on me once, so i appreciated the level select. Some way to rotate tiles without the mouse wheel would have been nice. I didn't like that method. |
| Oct 23 14:23:12 | 14h 56m | Pinball "Repair" SIMULATOR | ♥ 1 | Cool idea. Hitting something with a hammer is always the best way to extinguish fires. I had some trouble with the controls. I kept failing to get back out of the machine to play pinball again as I kept wanting to press the opposite direction to escape rather than the same button again. |
| Oct 23 15:05:49 | 42m 37s | CrossbowThing | ♥ 1 | That was surprisingly fun for how simple it was. I liked that you could pick up you arrows again. It would have been nice if your score was displayed on the game over screen as I have no idea what my best scores were. Hunting through the trees was the most fun, but quite frustrating when randomly being killed out of nowhere. I finally managed to win with a really cheesey method of waiting out of their reach part way up the wall at the edge of the arena. I thought I may have to come down to hunt the last few, but they are not limited to 100. I did try hiding up against trees within the arena but couldn't fire fast enough towards the end. Untitled.png Ran fine for me in Wine. |
| Oct 23 15:51:45 | 45m 56s | Steam buggy | ♥ 0 | I missed that you were supposed to pick up coal at first until I accidentally picked one up. I like that the coal determines how fast you should be going rather than the capabilities of the car. Made it much more interesting to balance that rather than just going fast. A track display would have been nice to track the other cars and see how much of the race is left to go. |
| Oct 23 20:35:09 | 4h 43m | Tomb of green cup | ♥ 0 | Cool idea. I like that the vines regrow. It was not always clear where you had to aim. It seems the collision of vines you already removed still block the laser making it much harder than it should be. I could not find any angle to hit the last part of the leftmost vine in the room with three vines. |
| Oct 24 18:11:01 | 21h 35m | MiniRPG | ♥ 1 | That was enjoyable. Shame there doesn't seem to be any kind of ending, unless I missed something. I didn't realise how to attack at first, holding the direction was not particularly clear as just pressing didn't work. I murdered my way through the entire ecosystem, only a few Cy's and a Wa escaped my wrath by hiding in inaccessible locations. The Tr's I didn't bother with. They would take far too long to beat. Beating the Wa's was mainly an exercise in waiting for health to regenerate. I was level 17 at the end. Nice work. |
| Oct 24 22:21:03 | 4h 10m | You... Bastet | ♥ 0 | I love the artwork and the music. Almost gave up, but managed to get there in the end. It wasn't clear where to go after placing all the gems. I didn't realise there was a wall jump at first, that changed everything. I didn't like how the slow acceleration made the game feel a bit unresponsive, and bouncing off the walls launches you super far but felt inconsistent at times. Other than that the controls were tight and worked fairly well once you finally get used to them. |
| Oct 24 22:50:51 | 29m 48s | Lighthouse Operator | ♥ 0 | Nice idea. It sometimes looked like a ship was still going hit a rock as they tend to cut it quite close. I would have liked a progress bar for the refuel button. |
| Oct 24 23:13:22 | 22m 31s | Find floor 0 | ♥ 0 | Nice simple teleport maze. Good job for only four hours. The lack of light was an interesting aesthetic, though having to navigate by looking at the ceiling wasn't great. I was amused by being able to see all the other floors through the ceiling when looking up. |
| Oct 25 17:22:13 | 18h 08m | Argo | ♥ 0 | Nice game, The feel of the corridors was great. Some ambient sounds or music would improve it a lot. I enjoyed the story, though the progression felt a bit straight forward. The texture on the floor of the T junctions switching when you get close kept catching me out. I tried both endings, it was pretty quick to complete knowing all the codes. I also tried jumping the railing of the reactor chamber, seems it was perfectly safe. Now the real mystery - who stole all the beds? |
| Oct 25 20:45:08 | 3h 22m | T.brick | ♥ 0 | Well, its is functional... 30 minutes is really not enough unless building off an existing framework designed for that. I have seen some decent 30 minute puzzlescript games. I'm reminded of the zero hour game jam that takes place in the hour the clocks go back. The photo backdrop really adds a lot. |
| Oct 27 19:10:15 | 46h 25m | Insert the Floppy | ♥ 1 | An epic tale of inserting a floppy disc. Those sounds hit right in the nostalgia. At least you ended up with something. I also spent most of this jam procrastinating, and I have played a few other games that were thrown together in a fraction of the available time. Must be catching. |
| Oct 27 23:12:37 | 4h 02m | Disaster Recovery | ♥ 1 | Interesting idea. It felt a bit too random though, mostly it was very easy until it was suddenly impossible. Carefully designed puzzle levels may have worked better, but it does demonstrate the mechanic well. Some form of end goal or progress would have been nice. |
| Oct 28 19:43:42 | 20h 31m | The Courier | ♥ 0 | The arrow never points to the third disk, it skips straight to the drop off location. I did find it eventually. Avoiding the cops was fun, it was nice they had line of sight checks so you can noisily sneak behind them. The speed felt inconsistent, sometimes I randomly move super fast? Apparently I managed to mow down some cops, though I couldn't do it again when I was actually trying to. I didn't realise the shields were a thing to pick up at first since you have to press E. There are loads of them. |
