| Oct 4 03:13:58 | Cat Wave RUN | ♥ 1 | Fun game! Wasn't sure how to interact with the blobs at first but then bonking into it worked like a charm. The arrow pattern matching game was well made. The sound effects and particles when arrows are typed are very satisfying. Great work! | |
| Oct 4 03:21:27 | 7m 29s | Witchy Sketchy Alchemy | ♥ 3 | Great sketchy art style, and music too, really endearing and well done. The game itself seems very hard, but I still tried it over and over. Always felt like I was just a little short on time (but that's the theme, so *shrug*) Overall very polished game, great work! |
| Oct 4 03:27:17 | 5m 50s | BeeBeforeBosses | ♥ 2 | Nice game. The art is really well done and the keeping the game alive by harvesting the fireflies to plant spawn points is clever use of the theme. Good work! 🐝 |
| Oct 5 05:47:58 | 26h 20m | Haywire | ♥ 1 | Good take on the theme, planning which bots to swap into adds a layer of strategy and there was a good variety of bots and attack types. Good work! |
| Oct 5 05:57:54 | 9m 56s | Swamp Wizard and the Fight for Wizard Swamp | ♥ 2 | Was a tough game at first because I was trying to play it like a bullet hell, but slowing down and taking careful aim ended up working much better. Wish there was some additional information on screen like a life total or number of collected orbs or timer for the tides but it didn't detract from the game. Enjoyed it, great work! |
| Oct 5 06:04:10 | 6m 16s | Samurai redemption | ♥ 1 | The mushrooms tried to get away, but they couldn't escape. Wish I could have opened the chests and not sure if the coins could be used for anything, but I enjoyed slashing mushrooms for a while. Good work! |
| Oct 5 06:07:15 | 3m 05s | Ghost Room | ♥ 1 | Wish there would have been music in the background but it got kind of hypnotic with the gun sound rhythm. Nicely challenging little game, good work! |
| Oct 5 06:17:17 | 10m 02s | Venge Of Mari | ♥ 1 | Good art style and audio. The movement was a little floaty and there were a couple times when the player got stuck moving backwards for a little bit, but it wasn't too much of a problem. The missiles that drop were packed tight and it was hard to reliably dodge sometimes. Overall it was a good first entry, keep making more! |
| Oct 5 06:31:41 | 14m 24s | Escape from The Aquillus | ♥ 1 | Pulled in immediately by the art. Really cohesive and polished style, great work! The gameplay was fun too, timing things right to get past the obstacles was engaging throughout. I got stuck a couple times because I was clumsy but always wanted to give it one more try. Nice job! |
| Oct 5 06:41:09 | 9m 28s | Dragon Breeder | ♥ 1 | Very well made game. Pixel art is lovely, and the gameplay is engaging, really enjoyed it! |
| Oct 5 06:48:09 | 7m 00s | 10tris | ♥ 1 | Fun version of tetris, the bombs ended up actually being really helpful sometimes. Great work! |
| Oct 6 04:56:26 | 22h 08m | Web-Cleaner | ♥ 3 | Agreed with others here that it's a good take on the theme and a fun concept to base a game around. Lots of opportunities for humor, interesting interactions and entertaining content. Really enjoyed it! |
| Oct 6 05:05:15 | 8m 49s | Cutthroat Cannoneer | ♥ 1 | Lots of juice for a small compo game! The screenshake and particle effects, along with the rocking of the boat really sell it. Took a couple rounds to get the feel for it but once I established a rhythm it went pretty smoothly. I think the spawn point on the far right ended up being the most trouble for me, and the delay between when the warning indicator disappears and when the enemy cannonball arrives seemed a little hard to get the timed correctly. All in all really enjoyed it, great work! |
| Oct 6 05:28:31 | 23m 16s | Singularity Protocol | ♥ 2 | Really fun game. Impressed by the variety of powerups. The graphics are great too. Great game and nice work! |
| Oct 6 05:37:51 | 9m 20s | Squid Shot | ♥ 1 | Fun game. A handful of fun things to interact with and cute graphics. Fun to explore and try to find the quickest ways around the map. Bonus points for squid based grappling hook 🦑 |
| Oct 6 05:49:15 | 11m 24s | Arkentower | ♥ 1 | Nice way to create tension in a game, pulling the player between wanting to climb but having to make sure if something gets past to go back and deal with it before it can hit the gem. Controls were maybe a little more slippery than I'd prefer for the precision expected in jumping but it was fun regardless. Great work! |
| Oct 6 05:54:59 | 5m 44s | The Show Must Go On! 🥁 | ♥ 2 | Very cool. Cute characters and consistent style, clever take on a rhythm game and good fit with the them. Great work! |
| Oct 6 06:04:46 | 9m 47s | Space Frontier | ♥ 2 | Fun game! Really impressive art and cohesive design. Very impressive work, good job! |
| Oct 7 01:54:21 | 19h 49m | Boulder Bash | ♥ 1 | Really fun game. Surprising how much variety the changes added. Art style was pretty simplistic but audio was good and after getting used to the weight of the controls it was really fun dodging and bonking all those DUMB balls around 🎱 Great work! |
| Oct 7 01:59:02 | 4m 41s | Flash Scrumble | ♥ 2 | Fun set of mini games, I think I liked the cabbage catching one the most because of the guy's face. Got all the way to max level and enjoyed it all! Great work! |
| Oct 7 02:06:46 | 7m 44s | Cheat or Lose | ♥ 1 | Very clever game, was confused at first because they kept rocking me with +2s but then the secrets of cheating were revealed to me and I was able to confound my enemies into submission. Really enjoyed it, great work! |
| Oct 7 18:30:27 | 16h 23m | Raiding By Myself | ♥ 1 | Great idea and really clever fit for the theme. Enjoyed the gameplay, wished there was some more substantial player art but didn't really take away from the gameplay at all. Had an issue in the first playthrough where it stuck on the loading screen a couple levels in but didn't happen again on reset. Really nice work! |
| Oct 7 18:40:37 | 10m 10s | NN7 Guardian | ♥ 2 | I really like this game, strategizing about how to prioritize mining versus defense and trying to time the jump are good mechanics and good fit for the theme. One thing that I think could be improved is visual responsiveness to player input. It was really unclear whether my button presses were doing anything. Adding some sort of highly visible indicator when a player presses a button showing if it was 'accepted' or not (ie. yes it launched a ship or no you don't have more ships to launch, and yes it's now prepping for launch) also a more visible indication that the ship is ready for launch and a button press will launch it would be great. All that said, the visuals are great, the audio is moody and fits the game really well. All in all, great work! \* Replaying now I may have misinterpreted the controls and that it's more automatic than I thought. I do think that this could be a good foundation for a full game though, with more interactions and maybe some mechanics borrowed from something like FTL. Again, really great work! |
| Oct 7 18:47:23 | 6m 46s | THE WORLD NEEDS BISCUITS! | ♥ 1 | Funny game. Wish the hit boxes were a little more forgiving for picking up the cookies but was able to manage. Agree with others that more variety in the way the humans appear would be nice. Maybe add arrows on the edge of the screen to show that there are still unfed folks at either end of the belt. Good work! |
| Oct 7 19:15:50 | 28m 27s | Shuffle Dungeon | ♥ 0 | Impressive work for a first game jam, lots of polish with the particle effects, screen flashes and such. A little buggy in some places. The 'interact' button didn't seem to work for me, with the chest and the NPC at the beginning for example. The embedded version cut off the UI at the top so it was hard to tell what the active rules were at any given time. All that said, this is really great work and a fun game. Good job! |
| Oct 7 19:25:39 | 9m 49s | Spooky Doctor | ♥ 1 | Super impressive amount of polish on this one. Well made tutorial that wasn't too intrusive but explained things as needed. It was a little buggy in a couple places (wasn't able to replay a level, accidentally restarted the game by resizing the window and since the tutorial state seemed persistent I felt like I missed some important context about choosing items). Eventually I got a handle on how to play and really enjoyed it. Very cohesive and clean art style, there was just enough 'puzzle' involved in interpreting the symptoms and putting together the appropriate ingredients, and a good progression of levels. Really enjoyed it, great work! |
