Apr 4 22:50:24 The Adventure of a Lifetime ♥ 1 It definitely had a cohesive theme and mood especially with the art direction.
Apr 4 23:02:48 12m 24s The king is dead, long live the king! ♥ 1 Art is nice and I like the aspect of upgrading on new turns. Movement is buttery. It wasn't really intuitive on how to get food since it looked like tools from the bookshelf, took me a couple games of running around to figure it out. Good job!
Apr 5 01:07:13 2h 04m Meteor Storm ♥ 2 Really cool aesthetics on the game, makes it quite cohesive. Initially thought I was supposed to fly around with the ship but caught on quickly on the next game.
Apr 5 06:07:09 4h 59m AutoGrid ♥ 1 It's an interesting concept. A bit difficult to build intuition on how to play. Perhaps it was my browser/resolution but the damage field was hidden in most of the sprites. It was hard to tell what 'adjacent' means on the board. Is it the 4 cross tiles or do the corners count too for 8 (if you placed in the center). Perhaps animation and cycling through the units, showing their attack patterns could help build intuition on how the units behave.
Apr 5 06:16:15 9m 06s Cards of the Cosmos ♥ 1 Cool little game. It would be nice if the starter deck had a bit more variety. Seemed like the second level's (or random opponent) deck was made to counter it or something.
Apr 5 23:35:02 17h 18m Guardian of the Sand ♥ 1 Definitely a relatable theme. It would be nice to have some feedback on what the sand breaks did as it didn't seem to stop or divert water (I understand fluid mechanics are probably too much for the game jam time). I assume it holds the tide back but some metric to make the cost benefit of more breaks vs repairing would be interesting.
Apr 5 23:41:21 6m 19s One Fuse ♥ 1 A unique take on the theme. I wonder if a leaderboard (or a wanted board) would be interesting to spur engagement as much of the fun is when others are online as well. Explosions to length of wick burned would be an interesting statistic. Or if visitors have limited butane/CO2 to ignite/extinguish with.
Apr 6 06:14:59 6h 33m Stir Cry ♥ 3 Nice job, a very cohesive game. Awesome to play as different characters and different weapons. If there was more time, it'd be cool if the weapons had different reload times (seemed to be the same for all weapons from a feel perspective) or if characters had affinities to weapons.
Apr 6 06:30:26 15m 27s Barbar-chicks ♥ 2 Quite the interesting game. Getting insight into the Barbar-chicks AI is helpful. The knight moves definitely makes it tough, my king was doing most of the work but probably takes a bit more playing to develop better intuition.
Apr 6 18:04:18 11h 33m Orbles ♥ 3 Great concept. Cohesively presented. It took a bit to figure out how the economy worked, never really got it bustling like the gif. Warrior AI sometimes went too deep into the baddies.
Apr 6 18:13:24 9m 06s Infection ♥ 0 Cool game. Like the genre, cursor was nice and shooting was enjoyable. Agree with the others that difficulty could be higher though enemy diversity would be more engaging to keep playing. Found myself just sitting by pills at the end there, so one possibility could be to limit ammo or have to pick it up spawning guns (comically having a bunch of guns strapped over your player).
Apr 6 18:29:12 15m 48s Battery Low ♥ 7 Cool little game. Might have a little more replayability if there was a randomness element but can understand that some levels might not be clearable at that point. Really nice art. Some text was a little hard to read in the intro.
Apr 6 18:37:33 8m 21s Garden War ♥ 1 Cool concept. Always interesting to have to consider tradeoffs. For me, it would've helped if I could have some information on what the items did and/or their stats to make better decisions and choices. If it was on there, then it was a bit unintuitive on where to look for the info.
Apr 6 18:48:09 10m 36s Taxed to Death ♥ 2 Lizard gamer brain says to go get all the sparklies so definitely had to double take and fight against that. An interesting take with impressive audio.
Apr 6 18:56:29 8m 20s Meteor Storm ♥ 1 Nice graphic design for the game, very clean. The turret rotation speed was too fast for my liking; I had trouble getting the precision I wanted. All in all, nice execution.
Apr 6 23:28:13 4h 31m Icebreak ♥ 1 Definitely a challenging game. Had trouble setting up situations where I could leverage the push as the enemies generally were smart enough to not get into those situations. Someway of knowing their attack types (hover) might've helped out in planning but can understand if keeping that all in your head is part of the difficulty.
Apr 7 23:06:56 23h 38m Detour ♥ 0 Quite a nice puzzle game. I think the concept is pretty unique and figuring out how to walk the block over the bonuses was interesting. I do agree that not being able to 'win' would be better fitted for the theme. Possibly by giving the 'enemy' some block destruction skills/ability.
Apr 10 22:54:52 71h 47m The Pit ♥ 1 Nice game! Enjoyed giving some thought about tradeoffs. Was overrun with wounds, some more card destruction would've been nice to play with (or enemies with that ability).
